We preordered a same day small cookie dough cake for my friend's bachelorette and they were totally down to customize an *ahem* occasion appropriate topper. I picked out a heart shaped sparkler too. Cupcakes and cake were yummy, not too sweet but what blew me away was the cream puffs! Shells were crisp yet still soft. The chilled egg custard filling was everything I dream of and more, combined with the semisweet chocolate dip! I ate both within thirty minutes after thinking I'll save the second one for later. Macarons were fresh and so soft. Good guava and salted caramel flavors. I like how the guava was cream based and not a fruity gel. Flagship chocolate chip toffee cookie was delightful. My wife and I came here twice on our drive up and down the coast. Oh my gosh it's good. We had the most amazing egg and bacon "danish" thing, an awesome authentic almond croissant, delicious ginger and peanut butter cookies. Pastries are delicious and fresh and there's a great variety to choose from. But there should be fans or another way to keep flies away. We noticed a fly land on several cupcakes and samples and when we mentioned it to a staff member and pointed out the pastries it had touched, she just said "oh ok" and continued boxing our cookies. We stumbled across this sweet bakery while walking around downtown Paso Robles. We walked in early afternoon and most of their breakfast pastries were picked over. I love that they offer mini versions of their cupcakes. We were going to buy several, but decided to wait since we wanted to have lunch first. Unfortunately this was a bad decision because when we came back after lunch most all the mini cupcakes were sold out. We told the girl working that we'd be back and I wish she shared that they only had a limited amount of cupcakes. We ended up getting two of their chocolate chip cookies (their most popular - would absolutely get this again), a Peanut Butter (very good), a Snickerdoodle (usually one of my favorites but this one lacked flavor), and one Cookie dough cupcake (it was pretty good and I liked the addition of a partial cookie on top). Went back later before they closed and got a cortado with oat milk and two dog treats for my fur babies. The cortado delish and my dogs did not complain about the cookies. Hands down best cinnamon roll that I've ever eaten. There wasn't one thing behind the glass display that didn't look delicious. Went on a Tuesday morning in November. Went to a little cake decorating class they hosted with some friends for the first time, it was amazing. When you arrived to the bakery for the class they offered you a drink while you waited and also offered a snack. Each person received a small cake square to be able to decorate. Emily went over how to make flowers and showed us all the supplies we could use, both Emily and Libby assisted anyone that needed help with their designs or wanted to start over and redo their designs. I suggest going with your girls friends and making a fun night of it, even if you weren't alone you would still have fun because they make it so inviting. read more

I've been to many bakeries and very few, if any, compare to Just Baked. I've never tried anything there and been disappointed, but there have been times I've disappointed myself by only getting 1 (amazing salted caramel) brownie or other baked good which never lasts as long as I wish it did. Obviously looking at the pictures it's obvious that the interior designer did an incredible job making the vibe very cozy and modern and the service is always pleasant and timely. I stopped in for an afternoon, coffee and pastry on Sunday. I was looking forward to a latte of some kind and was told they aren't making hot drinks because the people working haven't been trained to make hot drinks. They couldn't even make a simple cup of coffee. I ordered a pumpkin crisp. The pumpkin crisp was dried out like it was several days old, overly sweet and burned around the edges so not a good experience overall. The signage in the window while walking by got our attention to look this place up on Yelp. The 4.7 Star cumulative reviews caused us to visit after our dinner down the block. One thing that I am personally sensitive to is when anyone from any retail establishment "greets" you from the opening entrance before even giving you eye contact. I don't even know what they say, but I know it didn't matter as it was too forced. And then there's the automatic "anything else?" phrase which is literally thrown out to every customer in the store once again way too mechanical for me. The coffee was great and all of the baked goods looked amazing. We had what we were told were there most popular cookies; the chocolate chip and the peanut butter ones. Although not the best cookies I've ever had in my life I would give them an 8 or 9 out of 10. I would definitely come back to try their breads or macaroons or other pastries. Outside of there delicious cupcakes, it's so nice to have a spot to stop by with your toddler for a quick sweet treat. The staff is always so friendly. Every detail is well thought out. This place is an explosion of pink and sugar. We went for the coffee but ended up getting sweets because they were too pretty to pass up. Their flagship cookie was the best cookie I've ever had.
