I'm not sure if it's because I'm a person of color , but the service I get feels different compared to how warmly I see white customers being treated. Arrived today at 7:25pm to get 1 latte, and was told there coffee station was closed. They were 2 girls working, like there always is. I was told previously that they don't serve coffee after 7:30pm. I did mention that, and they told me they were short staffed. There was absolutely no one in there, just my husband and I. I am sure it wasn't going to take too long to get 1 coffee done. I am also a business owner, and I take full responsibility as an owner. I try a way to make things right, by replacing their order. Even offering them a discount on their next purchase. I don't try to cover for my employees, and give a bunch of excuses. This just shows me not to support a business that doesn't care about my customers. The employees here are amazing! They were able to accommodate my order short notice for a last minute wedding due to health concerns and did not disappoint! I was really flexible with design and just wanted to get something nice for my sister's wedding. They exceeded my expectations and created a beautiful yet simple design (I added the topper) and just ultimately made a beautiful cake for my sister's wedding. It also tasted pretty amazing. Have to say, top five best cookies I've ever had. This lovely, family owned bakery brought us some cookies and cupcakes to the hospital I work at. My fellow nurses and I inhaled them. My wife stated they were the best cookies she's ever had. Every cookie was outstanding. The flagship cookie was sweet and chewy with some salt flakes on the top. Sublime. Excited that a place offered vegan products as we have a little one that has dietary restrictions. The day we went they offered vegan chocolate cupcakes and vegan sugar cookies. The place was decorated in cute pink Christmas, which was a nice change since most places have your typical red, white, and green. I did have a question regarding if the food I was picking had red 40 dye, and the lady helping me was kind enough to try and think of the color wheel. To be safe I opted out of the cookies. Stopped here after visiting a brewery nearby. I saw their page on Yelp and were impressed. We came here to buy a cake for my daughter's birthday. We got the red velvet 6 inch cake. The cake was very good. The icing/frosting on the outside was perfectly sweet. The cake was moist. Customer service was great. The plaque that was offered with the "Happy Birthday" message was worth the cost. Very nicely written but couldn't tell if the writing was freehand or a machine.
