We drive by this little gem daily. Each time we comment that we should give it a try. Well, now I regret not being there the morning they opened. The menu is true to their name, it's Just Breakfast, and while other establishments work to "explore the foodie space," this establishment is true to the classics. I had their Huevos Rancheros with chorizo. On this dish, they did go direction I haven't seen previously. This was by far the BEST Huevos Rancheros I've had. In Tucson or anywhere else. I should have taken a pic for you. However, my failure is your fortune as you'll be sitting in anticipation as you wait for yours. The staff was exceptional, as was this dish. We'll be going back. Rated 4 out of 5 stars... at the time I crafted the review above a couple of years ago and it appears it failed to post. It's like a little time capsule. Unfortunately today, our experience has been notably poorer. To start, there is no one managing operations and tempo. It's a "seat yourself" model, with a sign that says to not sit at a dirty table. A problem is, the staff doesn't seem interested in closing checks out and allowing guest to depart, nor do they seem interested in bussing the table and turning it for the waiting guest/prospective customers. The guests who are finished avoid eye contact with guests waiting for to sit, even though we know they are effectively being held hostage by the slow check-to-pay-to-receipt dance. Clear out those folks with full bellies and things to do so the hangry diners can get after it. Also, back-to-back weekends we've gone in and had entire orders not be presented to the table, leaving one in our party with just coffee wondering why this misfortune was dealt to them. Last week the server said they wholesale forgot to input the order (perhaps the server was new), this week the kitchen apparently decided promptness, effort and urgency were not on the menu. Once 3 of 4 were finished eating, and one of us stood up to engage the staff on the egregious situation, the food was finally prepared and presented. For the poor performance, we were given 10% off the tab versus taking the entire late dish off the tab. There has been a slide in service and synchronization. The menu is homey and the quality is good. What they use to provide was the charm and delight of getting good food with good service. Me and mine will give Just Breakfast a Just Break so they can Just Figure It Out. High hopes they do by the time we forgive and forget and visit them again. read more

If i could rate this place zero, I would. We waited 37 minutes before our order was taken. The boss walked past us 3 times without even giving us a menu. The sweet waitress was running around trying to do everything. Finally order was taken and we waited another hour for the food to come out. My daughters plate was cold. Food has very little flavor. We only stayed to try because we had heard the food was good. Definitely not worth it! Will not be back. Not sure I will visit their other restaurant again either after this. They had a huge party going on in the other side and no staff. Prob should not take parties that large if you don't have staff or close the restaurant for the party. read more

We really like to come here on the weekends to get some good food, coffee, and a London Fog. Our only complaint is when it's busy, they tend to forget to make the rounds with coffee and overlook you if you sit in the middle area. We keep coming back and there are other regulars that come also. So if you haven't been, give it a try. read more

The hot chocolate was perfectly created in a cafe-like cup, chocolate milk was great for the kiddos and extra precaution taken for the younger one, coffee was good, hot & ready and the orange juice tasted fresh! Now for the food: kids pancakes aren't silver dollar sized but they're thin for the kiddos, oatmeal is served with a mini pitcher of milk and brown sugar, eggs were cooked to order, bacon was thick, full of flavor and NOT dripping in grease, and the potatoes that came with the biscuits and gravy were to die for. Upon returning, we're getting those potatoes, a la carte, with everything. The flavor that's enveloped in the perfectly seasoned and crunchy exterior is perfection- to say the least. This is the type of place someone could go to weekly or daily (if you have it like that) and the staff knows your name and what you want. I thought this might be a good place being they only serve breakfast, I ordered 2 eggs with sausage and hash browns and toast $11, every other place I have had breakfast you are given a small plate for the toast I had to balance the toast on my water glass so I could get to my food. Sunnyside eggs to runny for my taste the sausage pattys were small and I have had better, the hash browns were fine, but the portion was very small this is the first time I finish all my hash browns, I left hungry. My wife had 2 eggs with bacon $9 the eggs were runny and the bacon was burnt so badly it was black. We dont like to complain we just wont be back,that being said the place was clean and service was adequate. read more

Cute new locally owned breakfast place. The lovely owner told us they had been open for about 6 months now. We have been meaning to come in. We are a family of 4 with two small children. There were a lot of kids in today so I would consider this place kid friendly. My husband ordered the meat lovers omelet. He is on the Keto diet so that was Keto friendly. On the menu, it comes with 1 piece of toast and fried potatoes. If you omit sides, you can subtract $1. I made a mistake and didn't read it more carefully and only omitted the potatoes. We ended up just giving our daughter the toast. So if you do want that omitted, it's both sides. Read fine print y'all. He enjoyed the omelet and my daughter had some of his eggs and she ate them all! I ordered chicken and waffles. It comes with 1 large waffle with 3 chicken strips on top. It comes with a side of butter and syrup. I'm not a syrup person so I just ate the waffle with butter. The chicken was crispy and just enough food for me without feeling like I overate. The waffle was quite delicious as well. We will come back when we can. This place is lovely. And the owner says there maybe new graphics on the wall, so that will be nice to see when we come back. Just Breakfast on Silverbell had been calling my name from when it opened. Located right down the street from my house, I drove by it everyday and waited for when I would have the time to try it out. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately on a Sunday morning. We sat down in booth off to the side and our waitress came over and took our drink orders. We surveyed the menu. My husband ordered huevos rancheros without meat, my son and I ordered the breakfast burrito without meat, and my daughter ordered kids pancakes with a side of bacon. (Side note, three of us our vegetarians- one of us isn't.) Our food came out promptly and my son and I cut our burritos and ate half. My husband ate his huevos rancheros and began eating the potatoes. He noticed pretty quickly that he had bit into a piece of bacon. Our waitress never came back to see how our food was and at the point we were really disappointed. Three out of our four plates had been ordered without meat. Once my husband found the bacon, my son and I stopped eating. When our check came, we explained the situation to the waitress. She apologized and checked with the kitchen who told her that the potatoes are cooked on the same flattop as the bacon. I understand that is usual but with proper cleaning there shouldn't be an issue of having meat in a vegetarian order. read more

We recently came to just breakfast for our second trip here. We were not greatly impressed the first time, as it took quite a while for our food to be delivered to our table. But we like to stay local, so gave it another try. The server was, not attentive. We saw someone's toast in the window for quite a while. I'm sure it was cold upon delivery. She was chatting with the manager the entire time. We saw the manager help her deliver food once, otherwise, he did not offer to help expedite. We were served coffee, when we ordered, but was never offered a refill. I tried to flag down the server more than once without her looking our direction. When she finally came with the coffee pot, we were finished eating. I told her we would've liked coffee 10 minutes prior. Her comment was, " well, would you like some now?". there was never an apology for her poor service, even when she brought our check. We tried to give her one more chance, and without that apology, her tip reflected her poor service. we personally were in the restaurant business for many years. I am speaking from experience and not just a dissatisfied customer. read more

This is my second time in Just Breakfast and it's the last time. You go in and there's a sign that says 'Please Seat Yourself.' Okay, went with my mom for a mother-daughter breakfast. Two things that were consistent: SLOW SERVICE--as it took them twenty minutes to get to our table and take our orders and SLOW KITCHEN-- it took the kitchen just as much time to get our food in to the service window. The only decent thing that I had was the latte, but that didn't even have whipped cream. I mean, come on, Starbucks adds whipped cream to all their lattes and frappes. What happened with mine? Not special enough? We both got the Huevos Rancheros. If it hadn't taken them twenty minutes between our order and our food, it might have tasted better and not been COLD. We didn't dare send either order back because we knew it would take twice as long to get a new one and...well, we wouldn't have been able to eat and it would still be cold; as it was I ordered the Sweet Potato Waffle-- which never came and when I asked about it, the waiter said they (the kitchen staff) were concerned with the middle of the waffle cooking. WTF??? I frankly didn't understand. I mean... you put the batter in the waffle iron, the waffle iron cooks it. Even the home waffle systems manage to cook evenly. So that was a no for me. They likely weren't prepared for anything. And then, to add insult to injury after I told our waiter to forget the waffle, they still tried to charge me for it! I ordered their cinnamon roll which apparently they make in house? Could have fooled me. There was no color on the roll and no flavor to it. Mom tried the bread pudding and it was the same as the rest of our meal: bland and cold. It hurt leaving a tip much less paying for the meal. Won't be back. read more

I lost my pics of our breakfast..... but here's my review. Waiting for someone to come with a menu took some time so I grabbed menus for ourselves then the wait continued for waiting for our food. While waiting, a woman came up and I heard her ask for a waitress bc they have been sitting at their table for 15 minutes without anyone elver coming to their table. It wasn't overly busy so not sure what the problem was. When our breakfast came, my gravy was barely room temp...I thought maybe it had been sitting but my husband said he saw them plate it so they must just not keep the gravy warm overall... I mean, it was bad enough that I didn't eat it beyond 2 very small bites. I just can't stand gravy that isn't atleast warm. my potatoes... i.e. homefries, very lacking without ANY seasoning. My husband was disappointed as normally when you order toast, eggs and bacon, you usually get atleast 2 pieces of bacon. but no big deal. Now in Just breakfast defence 99% of our breakfastsat this restaurant we have been more than satisfied. But this morning was very disappointing. So here's my story. I showed up early an was waiting for my wife. So I ordered a cinnamon roll so it wasn't just taking this server's table an just drinking water until my wife showed up. The cinnamon roll was delicious. My wife sat down an we ordered a couple pancake specials an I ask for an order of hash browns. When our food was brought to the table my hash browns were burned black around the edges. Before the server left the table , I ask if I could get some hash browns that aren't burnt. The server stormed off. My wife and I realized that both of our eggs were brown and overcooked. And our pancakes were overcooked extremely dark brown or even burned on the bottom. When the server returned she popped the plate of hash browns on the table. Did not say a word and walked away. My wife and I continue to eat our breakfast. We were both very surprised of the diminished quality of food preparation and also our server should have never brought that food to the table. It looks like they have a new kitchen crew along with wait staff. Looks like a typical case of little to no training or no supervision. It was hard for me to decide on a star rating for today's visit. First off, overall the food was fine to good, depending on the dish. It breakfast food without being anything too fancy. On the other hand the potatoes we got seemed burned, and were all around not great. The wait to sit down was nothing, but from the time we did sit down to when we received our food anywhere between 45-60 minutes elapsed. I could see the waitresses following up with the cooks, but from the look of the kitchen not much got out over those first 30-45 minutes. We did have a gracious amount cut from our bill, but after waiting so long most of my family was pretty frustrated, bordering on hangry. We had other errands we wanted to run and were not able to complete as we wanted because of the wait. Initially I thought that I would like to make my way back here if we were in the area, but I see that the long waits have been a consistent concern dating back to at least March based on other Yelp reviews. read more

Huevos Rancheros. It's gorgeous! It tastes amazing! Truly delicious home fried potatoes. Eggs cooked to perfection. Flavor galore and gorgeous yellow, green and red sweet bell peppers and perfect fresh jalapeños. The guacamole on top is some of the best and freshest I have tasted in a long time. There is even fresh shredded Monterey Jack cheese all over it but does not over power the meal. I just can say how perfect everything is for only $7.99. It's insane! Here is what you get. You get craft breakfast at cheaper than local diner prices. You get clean bright atmosphere, clean simple style and peace and quiet when you come in.
