Food and service was excellent. Reasonably priced. Had to drive a bit to here. Definitely will be coming back.

We were visiting our daughter in Tucson, and she invited us to try this new breakfast restaurant near their neighborhood. It was a wonderful choice of restaurant! I had the breakfast sandwich, I can't remember the name of the sandwich, but it was the only sandwich on the menu. My husband ordered the meat lover's omelette. My sandwich was stacked high with with a thick slice of Canadian bacon , 2 thick bacon slices, a fried egg, with cheese on top of it! The bread on my sandwich was so fluffy and delicious! I will definitely order it again! My husband's omelette was very meaty and the eggs were fluffy and the hash browns were cooked perfect! The coffee was hot and delicious! I love that they had French vanilla and hazelnut creamers! My husband tried the waffle and it was cooked perfectly! They sprinkle powdered sugar and it melted in our mouths when we ate it... we will definitely come back next time we visit our daughter. It's a hidden gem tucked away in a shopping center. We loved that they had a big screen tv to watch the morning news. The waitress never let us run out of coffee. Excellent service and food! They also serve posole and bake a lot of their own bread, my husband also had their English muffins and they tasted great and we took a cinnamon roll home and my daughter said it was also delicious! read more

I guess this place thinks corona virus disappeared and if you are not willing to eat in a crowded pace with people with no asks they do not need your business. Recently I read on site " Only in Arizona " about this restaurant which is only few blocks from home, and I did not know about it. Today was the day to do it. I was met by "Taylor" a very pleasant young lady with a coffee pot in hand (cups are on the table. She took my order,chicken fried steak, English muffin ( not Thomas but very good) plus two eggs. I had the home fries for $1 more and worth it. Everything was hot, even the muffin, steak was large and tasty, actually everything was good and very pleasant. New to my neighborhood, gave it a try yesterday morning. My wife had bacon and eggs, I had the breakfast burrito with sausage, and 1 biscuit and gravy for research (we are biscuit and gravy fans) . Food was good and average breakfast food, prices seemed to be fair. Yellow desert themed walls, with diner style seating. The name Just Breakfast is what it is, simple menu, good service, hot Coffee. We will be back. Update 1/19/2019: the service and wait staff have declined severely in the past few months, and after several chances we will not be back. We drive by this little gem daily. Each time we comment that we should give it a try. Well, now I regret not being there the morning they opened. The menu is true to their name, it's Just Breakfast, and while other establishments work to "explore the foodie space," this establishment is true to the classics. I had their Huevos Rancheros with chorizo. On this dish, they did go direction I haven't seen previously. This was by far the BEST Huevos Rancheros I've had. In Tucson or anywhere else. The service was horrible. I do not want to even leave one star. We ordered a breakfast burrito bowl and avocado toast. We sat for 45 minutes and never received our food. My husband never do a refill in his coffee and people that came I'm after us we're served, paid, and left. The staff never even acknowledged us. Horrible customer service. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! I am never one to give a bad review off of one bad experience, but this is not the first time we have had an issue here. I always try to support local businesses and with service like this I'd rather go to Cracker barrel where at least you receive exceptional service and food. Well tried to order to go for first time. This place is very disorganized. Placed order ahead walked in any ask to pay my bill and wait. First person I encounter just said okay and walked away. My husband and I stopped in later this morning (note that the hours of operation during the week are 6am-12:30pm). I was not aware of this place but my husband had noticed it while driving on Silverbell. " We were delighted! It is not a huge restaurant, not noisy and there isn' t the presence of a half dozen TV screens turned to various sporting activities. Just one TV and it's relating humor while you consume your order. My husband ordered the "House Breakfast Sandwich" which offered ham, bacon, fried egg and cheese on a house-made bun with a side of fried potatoes. The ham looked delicious and the bacon was crispy; fried egg and cheese topped the meats and I sampled the bun...and it was yum. I had the cheese quesadilla which was served with a modest size of fruit (watermelon, in this instance) and a sausage patty on the side. Both were quite good. Another reviewer indicated that the coffee was "weak." I beg to differ. Our experience was very positive. An excellent cup of coffee...smooth, rich flavor and robust. In fact, what I did not finish at breakfast, I took home in a to-go cup...a first for me. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is bright and welcoming, the server was very pleasant and accommodating and the experience overall was fantastic. Visited on a Saturday morning to check out this new breakfast place close to home. We had biscuits and gravy and the chorizo breakfast burrito. -Biscuits and Gravy had lots of sausage in it ! -Plenty of chorizo in the burrito! -Good prices for the portions we were given. -Basic menu ( would like to see more flavors- avocado/ new flavors/ some non traditional breakfast items) -Adequate friendly service Plan to come again, but it might be a little while to see if the menu expands its horizons a bit. read more

Loved this place! Very clean, bright and cheery! I liked how the wall murals captured the local scenery and wildlife. My mom and I saw the good reviews in Yelp when we were looking for a new breakfast spot to try last Sunday. Our server was friendly, patient (she came back twice to check on us while we reviewed all the tasty options on the menu), and knowledgeable as she answered all our menu questions. We both ordered the Belgian waffle, mom had a side of seasonal fruit and I ordered a side egg over medium. I also ordered a London Fog latte, with soy milk, which was delicious and served in a really cute cup! My mom is allergic to mango, so they made the side without the mango (peaches & strawberries). The Belgian waffles were perfect - light & airy, moist, fluffy and golden brown. Be careful if you opt to keep the order with the powdered sugar as described in the menu, it's a heavy dusting not just a light sprinkle. This would have been a 5 star review but there were a couple of detracting items: 1) They were full, but not overly slammed that morning. It looked like they were either short a server or could have used a bus-boy/girl to help keep the tables cleaned up as they turned over. 2) They forgot my egg. The waffle was quite large, so I actually didn't need the egg from a hunger perspective, but it was part of my order. Our server apologized and took it off the bill, which was the right thing to do. Overall though we really liked this new local breakfast spot and will be coming back. They have a variety of menu options at affordable price points, the food/drinks are well made, and friendly staff. Just tried this new local place. Dining room is well laid out and very straightforward. Walls are murals of desert scenes. Menu somewhat limited and slightly above average price for breakfast. First impression is serving size was ample but felt under seasoned. I had an omelette where I thought the ratio of eggs to filings needs to have more fillings. We used to come nearly every Saturday. Today we came and patiently waited 15 min to get a menu. Another 10min for coffee. I always order a red eye as it comes in a nice big cup. Waitress brought a cup of coffee to my husband and I. I asked where is the red eye? She told me it's the same thing. Ok no large cup? Great. Then we order. Nearly another 30 min and no sign of chai latte either. Food comes. Wish I took a picture. You wouldn't feed it to a dog. Burnt eggs, burnt corn beef and half avocado on toast. Then food brought to us by the owner?? No silverware. We asked and he said he'd bring it. Off he goes started serving other tables. I go ask him for the silverware promised and said this is really a bad experience. His reply, "we are short-Staffed." Really. I go back and look at the mess in front and we decided to looked like it was rolled on the floor. I had to go to the counter to get my check. They never ordered the chai latte either. I donated $39 for a meal not worth eating and left. Rest assured. Never tell me your short staffed. As an owner, customer service goes a long way. Save your money... Atmosphere: The place is nice and cozy for a "hole in the wall" breakfast restaurant. The booths have this interesting metal table that is perfect height for me or and small kids but I could see someone taller having to bend down in order to get their food. Once you sit down the servers are nice enough to quickly get me some coffee right off the bat. I did noticed that this place is one of those restaurants that allows you to sit wherever you like instead of being walked to your table. They have a large tv screen on the wall and have it facing the news (ex: NBC) which at first I thought it was a radio. Due to the way the restaurant is built you do get an echo effect. Score: 8/10 Food: I ordered the Veggie omelet, which comes with a tiny portion of fruit, large portions of potato's with what looks like the side is my omelet with your choice of toast. The potatoes vary from soft to medium crunch. There seems to be a different taste to the skin of the potato that reminds me a lot of sausage or bacon. The toast I chose is Sourdough and sadly I wish it came with some jam. The omelet seems to be what I call a reverse omelet with the filling on the outside instead of inside as a nice surprise. Compared to the potatoes it seems like the omelet is under-season, no pepper. If I could recommend how to eat this I would say mix the potatoes with the omelet instead of eating everything separate. I would also recommend drinking your coffee quickly since they would want to refill it after seeing you drink a few sips. My server was right when saying that the omelet is very filling. I ended up fighting to try and finish my food. Score: 7.5/10 Restaurant recommendations: This is a side note on how the restaurant can make improvements. This will not affect the overall score. * Make the menus laminated to reduce the amount of wear and tear from your menus instead of handing out a piece of paper. You can also leave the menus at each individual table. * Offer the toast to come with jam or butter * Don't be afraid to add some seasoning to your omelet * Make the main food the center of the meal and have any sides smaller than the main meal. * Invest in some sound boards. You can even make them in a shape of a cactus to help reduce the echoing (I can hear the kitchen staff chat and wash each dishes as well as listen in to every customer conversations) * Reduce physical contact with the customers. What a surprise! Quiet little unassuming place, very cozy and very friendly. Food was the best breakfast fare we've had. Leaves Denny's and IHOP in the dust. The veggie omelette was delicious, the veggies perfectly grilled. The accompanying English muffin toasted and buttered, just right. The home fries were spot on....none of that brown outside raw inside nonsense! French toast was delicious and perfectly cooked. If you've not yet tried this place ...you need to!!!! read more

Great little place for a quick breakfast without being fast food. The kitchen split our omelette and garnished each plate with fresh fruit. We had the Spanish omelette with really great hashbrowns. Tasty and topped with lots of fresh avocado slices. The coffee was good, not too strong or bitter, so you know it was freshly brewed. Server was friendly and courteous, kept coffee filled for us. The place is clean and cute murals decorate all the walls. Would highly recommend this place for breakfast just be aware, they only serve breakfast until 1230pm weekdays. read more

I've only been to this place now two times but each time I've gone I've never been disappointed. Any place that can give kids etcha sketches if I spelled it right to play with while we're waiting for food is A great place for me. My favorite drink there is the London fog latte which is Earl Grey cream and honey in a latte. My kids eat all their breakfast and I've never had any complaints they've just wanted more every time. While the coffee was good and my cup was never empty, the breakfast potatoes really brought this place down. Half of my plate was potatoes and they were inedible (super dry....almost burned). We got our drink order pretty reasonably, but then sat for an hour for Luke-warm and undercooked food. Their kitchen had very poor pacing with food prep, with tables not getting served in order, and dishes sitting at the window for 5-10 mins waiting for completing dishes for the same table. First time here! Service started well and we were excited to have this place so close. Live in Gladden Farms. Got our food and was not flavorful or impressive, service seemed to diminish. When we got the check we asked for a to-go box for my daughters food and the server brought us a box but then took my daughters plate and dumped it. Another server came by to collect the payment and we told her what happened, she re-ordered what was dumped (sausage patty, hash browns, toast) and apologized. All is well Right? Wrong! We sat there for 15 minutes before we got so frustrated and walked out. As a career server of 32 yrs with extensive experience in both FOH/BOH this was completely annoying and unacceptable. Really dropped in just three weeks since our original visit. They didn't appear overly busy but my bacon was burnt, my hash browns showed up at end of meal but they made them comp which I appreciate. Never received a check back to refill water and had to ask for syrup for kids pancakes. The potatoes on our other order were burnt as well. Overall service was polite just could have been overwhelmed. And probably closer to 2&1/2 stars then three but we will try again to see how they recover in a few weeks or it was just a bad day. They gave great coffee which is has been hard for me to find at a breakfast place. We went in a Sunday morning and they were pretty packed. It did take a while to get our food but the omelet we had was delicious! Tons of green chili, cheese and salsa. The hash browns were a little too greasy and the toast a little too much butter. I fell for the hype that this place received in the newspaper a little while ago. They took forever just to take our order and they were not that busy. For drinks we ordered a regular and a vanilla latte. For food hubby ordered the two egg breakfast and I ordered a ham and cheese omelet. I had high hopes for breakfast when I saw the latte art is featured in the picture that I included. The best part of breakfast were the potatoes. They were pretty good with flavor. The toast was not crisp at all and had very little butter. My omelet was so so and it was not fluffy at all. Not very flavorful at all either. We drove out there especially to try this place and were so disappointed.
