    Catfish, Shrimp & Grits
    Dee B.

Parking is free, reservations are recommended if not getting there early. I've been here twice and both times didn't disappoint. I tried the catfish, shrimp and grits this time. The grits were good and the Cajun sauce was top tier. The catfish was a little too crunchy for my liking, but the shrimp was so good! I would just get the shrimp and grits next time. But the ambience is cute in there. There's an outdoor patio and bar top. The service is great there as well. If you're looking for good brunch, this is def a spot to not miss.

I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant, but unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. The food was underwhelming for the prices, and overall I just wasn't impressed with the meal. What really caught me off guard was the pricing policy. Our food subtotal came to $89.98, and an automatic 20% gratuity ($18.00) was added simply because the check was over $80. This wasn't a large party--it was based solely on the amount of the bill. By the time tax was added, an $89.98 meal became $113.38. The waitress did give us an app that took $20.00 off the bill, which I appreciated. However, I still think an automatic 20% charge based on reaching an $80 spending threshold should be made very clear to customers before they order, not something you discover when looking at the final bill. I understand restaurants having gratuity policies, and I have no problem tipping for good service. Between the quality of the food, the prices, and the additional charge, the experience simply did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

Meat Lovers Omelet, potatoes & a fluffy biscuit. A side of grits that you better try

We stopped in for breakfast at this cute little place after staying the night at a close by hotel. We were greeted by a smiling face & was seated promptly. Like it says, it is relaxed & family oriented. Our server, Brianna greeted us with a smile & made us feel so welcomed. After she brought our drinks, she asked if we had any questions about the menu, that's always nice! I had the meat lovers omelette, it was so fluffy & so good, with potatoes & grits! Y'all! They had the BEST grits I've EVER had! Take it from me as an honest person because I'm a grits snob! He had the breakfast sampler & he also ordered a couple pancakes on the side & he said everything was good but he loved their pancakes!! We would love to go back when we come through again!

After hearing this was a "must-try," I finally made it in! I highly recommend making a reservation. I tried walking in previously and the wait was over an hour, but booking a day in advance got us seated right away. One thing to note is when I booked the reservation, it didn't specify that the seating would be outside. We ended up on the covered patio, which was the only thing available. While it wasn't the most comfortable setup, thank goodness the weather wasn't too hot! The restaurant is a bit smaller than expected, which explains why the wait gets so long. The drinks are excellent and definitely not weak--the margarita and mojito were both very refreshing. The Food: Seafood Omelette: Exceeded expectations! Grits: Perfectly creamy. Chicken & Waffles: Super yummy. Pancakes: A huge hit with my son. Fried Green Tomatoes: They were okay, but the dipping sauce they came with was delicious. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Had brunch with my sister and BIL. We were in town for a family function. We didn't have a reservation. From what I saw I recommend you get one. We walked in the ladies were very friendly. It wasn't very busy but started to get busy once we were seated. Amber our waitress was very sweet. I got a nice mocktail and my BIL got an espresso martini. The food. Omg!! I had the Lobster with waffles, my sister had the seafood omelette, and my BIL had the Catfish with grits. We also shared an order of the chicken wings and the hot biscuits. Amber recommended I have the lobster grilled and not fried and she was right. I don't like grits, I tried a bite of the Catfish and yes baby. Seasoned well. The ambiance is a vibe as well. The decor is colorful and catchy. One feedback is too long with drinks being delivered as we as the good didn't all come out together. I will def come back.

My friends and I had brunch here recently and really enjoyed it. We didn't have reservations, but only waited about 15 minutes. I would highly suggest making reservations if you visit on a Saturday because they were busy. For my cocktail, I ordered the summer rain which contained strawberry vodka. It was very sweet. To start, we ordered the fried green tomatoes. The flavor was good, but the tomatoes were mushy on the inside. For my entree, I ordered the fish and grits with the shrimp "gumbo " on the side. This was not gumbo in the traditional sense, but more like a seafood gravy. Overall, we had a great time. I truly appreciate the hospitality from the staff.

Lots of flavor! The salmon was cooked well done however I prefer medium however the food was delicious. I got there at 10:30 and there was a 20 minute wait. However once I was seated at the bar it went fast.

We came here on a Saturday before continuing on with our road trip to North Carolina. The restaurant was packed so I do recommend getting a reservation but we were able to snag two seats at the bar. There was a constant flow of people into the restaurant. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were really good. The sauce that came with it added to the flavor. The Peach Glazed Salmon with Crab Fried Rice was interesting. I don't think all the elements went together. The salmon was so overcooked it was hard to break apart. The crab fried rice was cooked well but the garnish on top of the dish wasn't needed. If this is how they cook salmon each time I cannot recommend this dish. The catfish, shrimp, and grits was really good and tasty. The catfish was a bit overcooked, but still pretty good.

This would have been 5 s but the server was a little slow. He barely checked in and he also forgot about things we asked for so we had to continue to remind of things. The breakfast was super good though. Everything was fresh & hot to serve. I also got a PM Dawn (or whatever the name was) lol -- it had me leaning by the time we left which means it was a GOOD drink! Nice to know there's good food without having to go into the city!

This is my 2nd time here. The first time we came was during brunch on a weekend so there was a wait so by the time the food came we got straight to it and I forgot to take pictures. The 2nd time around we came on a Friday around brunch time as well. No wait so i remembered to take pictures before diving in. The food was plentiful and delicious both times. I believe I got the lobster with waffles the first time and this time I got the Sticky wings with pancakes and my sister got the Banana French toast with sausage and a side of eggs. The wings were really good and flavorful with the right amount of crispy. My sister's French toast was very tasteful with the sauce they layered around it. The interior & decorating of the restaurant is very pretty with really nice wall art/mirrors and chandeliers. There's a bar that you can sit at from inside and outside. The outside seating section is still covered which is nice. Definitely recommend this breakfast, brunch, lunch spot for great wand vibes. The menu selection is big with unique items that you may not find at other restaurant.

Seriously late for thos review! Went for a wedding, and on our final day enjoy some southern breakfast. So happy we went here. I NEVER liked grits but didn't realize i never has them cooked properly. So creamy and yummy. Catfish shrimp n grits was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked catfish amazing sauce and i now love grits thanks to Just Brunch. Seafood omlette was full of crab and so good. 10/10 My friends and I shared a Banana Foster French toast. Also yummy. Had a bloody mary also good! Great service.

First time at Just Brunch. I was hoping for a great birthday brunch with my wife. What we got was a good but not amazing very expensive brunch. Service was serviceable for lack of a better way to say it. The order was correct and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The issue was it felt like we were imposing on the waitress and an inconvenience even though she was not in any was rude or disrespectful. Idk, the vibes were off. The food was presented well and served at the right temperatures. I had the crabcake benedict and my wife had the oatmeal. My wife seemed to enjoy the oatmeal but I'll let her review that. The crabcake Bennie was unfortunately under seasoned and not the freshest. This is not to say it was uneatable just not what I expected for the price tag on it. If I am paying crabcake prices I expect a high quality crabcake. The grits were very good. If I were to go back I would be sure to get a dish that included them. All in all, I think they have a solid menu and maybe the crabcake just wasn't for me.

Super appreciative of such technology. Parking was plentiful when we got there and we were able to park right next to the patio and front door. So no worries if you don't get as lucky as we do. The hostess was very pleasant and offered either indoor or outdoor seating. It was a rainy day so we opted for inside to be on the safe side (the patio is covered though, so no worries if that's your preference). Our server Nicholas was super polite and helpful. The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. Food & Service - this is where it fell apart for me. when i was seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for my waitress to come and ask me what i wanted to drink. when she finally did, i realized this same woman had walked past me several times before, on the way to do nothing in particular. she didn't introduce herself but was polite. she brought out my coffee and took my order, it took an hour for my food to come out. and the place wasn't crowded. only 2 couples sitting outside and about 40% capacity ithe indoor section where I was. and the food was subpar. it all came out hot, BUT. chicken sausage was hard to bite because casing was burnt and tough. eggs were cooked with so much butter it just tasted like i was eating fluffy butter. biscuit was dry and couldn't possibly be homemade. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. Maybe a nighttime hang with drinks only, on the outdoor terrace would be a slightly better experience. But I don't have to find out.

The décor has a La Catrina/Día de los Muertos feel, and the bar is gorgeous, with colorful liquor bottles, skulls, and plenty of eye-catching details. The upbeat music added to the atmosphere, although at one point it briefly sounded like we were at Mass, and I almost started doing the sign of the cross! For drinks, the Marinero was good. The watermelon margarita was okay, but unfortunately, it really didn't taste much like watermelon. We started with the fresh guacamole, which was disappointing. It was pretty lackluster and needed seasoning. When I order fresh guacamole, I'm looking for that classic table-made style with chunks of avocado, cilantro, onion, fresh lime, and plenty of flavor. This just didn't have it. The chicken quesadilla with peppers and onions was good overall, although the chicken was a little dry. The rice was actually very good--fluffy and not dry at all. The charro beans, however, needed some help. They lacked seasoning and that wonderful smoky flavor I expect from good charro beans. Some flavorful chorizo would have taken them to another level. The sopa de pollo had a good base flavor, but some jalapeños would have given it the kick it needed. The complimentary chips and salsa were okay, but again, the salsa needed more spice and personality. That really sums up my experience: the restaurant looks more flavorful than the food tastes. The atmosphere is beautiful, the bar is impressive, and the restaurant has so much potential, but the kitchen needs to bring the same energy. Give me more garlic, cilantro, lime, sazón, spice, smokiness, and bold Mexican flavors. Get rid of the bland! Overall: C+ Beautiful restaurant and great atmosphere, but the food needs more seasoning and flavor to match the gorgeous surroundings.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol

They have a few TVs for viewing and had a live belly dancer briefly perform. They didn't have a DJ. It seems like they were playing music from a music playlist, which was a mix of RnB and Hip Hop. Their menu has food, drink, and hookah options. They had nothing on the menu except for Suya; so, we didn't have food. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced, given that they were served in plastic cups. The hookah was pretty good and lasted awhile. Of note, the bartender couldn't take cash because she didn't have enough change in the register to return; the only option was card payment.

The sign would advise they open at 5, but doors wouldn't open until nearly an hour later. They would frequently do grocery runs to Walmart then charge you the same amount for items such as wings that were clearly different and finally arrived right before they close the lounge. So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. Mix of African/Reggae/HipHop. In all, I recommend this place if the consistency stays like this....but I had to be honest about my previous experiences.

No shade to the Midwest, but it tastes like Midwestern soul food or maybe school cafeteria food. The mac and cheese seems boxed and completely flavorless. I am not even sure what kind of fish I ate. The chicken tenders were okay but bland. I tried the broccoli salad, which was a mistake. It just tasted like a pile of mayo, and the rest of the vegetables looked overcooked. I'm almost positive all of the vegetables are canned. Super sweet staff, but the food just is not for me.

I thought, I haven't had that in a long time. Mostly because no one cooks it anymore. So I said I'll try it. I went with okra and black eyed peas to round it out. Well, let's start with black eyed peas. They were very good. They even seemed fresh, even though I'd never aged they're frozen. I was impressed! The okra however was another story. They were clearly frozen. It was the chewiest okra I've ever ver had! And I'm not talking about older okra that is just hard to chew because of the plant material just being tough. I mean it was chewy like chewing gum. I peat okra I've had in years!! Then to the "steak". I'm not sure the hell the "steak" is. I'm not sure if it was meat, vegetable, or even organic at all. It was mushy and just horrible!! The only thing that helped was copious amounts of gravy. Rest assured I'll not be back. The reason for 2 stars is because the people were friendly. Service was quick, although I came early and no one was in line. The place was clean although dated. I noticed a sign talking about potentially raising the cost because produce prices were going up. Guess what? If you buy plates and silverware instead of giving everyone to go boxes and utensils, your prices would go down. The cost per patron would go down.
