Great family restaurant serving simple Greek food and other authentic dishes. Growing up in a Greek home with a grandmother who made the best food ever, I find Pappoule's the closest rendition of her memorable meals. We love the gyro and chicken meals. The chicken is marinated and then grilled to perfection. (Never tasted better!) Yum! The dining space has a casual, relaxed, and clean environment, as well as an inviting outdoor space. The staff is friendly and genuinely helpful. We've also ordered food on Saturday to eat as a family meal on Sunday. I used to love this place! It had really Good Flavors, smells, and presentation, but since the renovation, the quality of Everything has gone down So Much! The olives have stems in them now and the flavor is... off. The olive oil and basil are both poor quality for the dressing. It's a difference you can Taste and smell. The Salad... it's just cheep iceberg lettuce with red cabbage and cut carrots you can buy at the store with some sliced red onion added. The Gyro meat doesn't taste the same either. It used to have Good Flavor, but it is bland, almost sweet now. The Spanakopita is dry, gritty and has very little flavor and not much spinich. The Falafel used to have a spice to it, not anymore. The Baklava was gritty and...just not good. This place used to be SO MUCH Better! I miss the way this place used to be. I will not be going back. read more

We went on a Tuesday for lunch and ordered a saganaki and their lunch special which was a Greek salad and choice of either chicken or gyro. Meat for the gyro is sliced off a verticals rotisserie. Haven't seen this in a while, reminiscent of when I lived in Astoria, Queens. Saganaki was served as expected, pan fried with pita. Salad was made from fresh ingredients and dressing was well seasoned and tasty. My wife ordered the salad with chicken and really enjoyed the taste. Portions on my plate were on the larger side. Value was definitely there. My only "gripe" was the tzatziki sauce could have used some "ooomph". Lacked flavor. Not much garlic, lemon or cucumber. Just Greek yogurt. Still, I found my meal to be enjoyable. Special came with a drink as well. The mango iced tea seemed to be the crowd favorite. I'd go back if I was in the area. read more

We went here for the first time for lunch. The place was busy but there's lots of tables and they have the whole system down. We ordered at the counter and sat down at a table, our food came out quickly. We enjoyed the gyro, spanakopita, Greek salad, and spicy hummus. Everything was pretty good, but not the most flavorful. I found the spinach pie to be a little dry and under-seasoned, but the Greek salad was great. I would return if in the area but there are other restaurants I would likely select if in the mood for Greek! read more

I stopped in with a co-worker who wanted to grab a pita for lunch, I had already eaten lunch, so I just grabbed the cinnamon pita. It was crunchy and had juicy cinnamon sauce drizzled over it. It was delicious, and I had no problem eating all of it! My co- worker loved her veggie packed pita too. Lots of delicious meat and veggies! Our errands found us across the street and we were thinking about getting something to eat. Looking for close, tasty and healthy. Papppyle's fit the bill. We took advantage of their daily specials. A chicken gyro for my dining partner and BH. Big chunks of tasty chicken. I got the lentil and sausage soup special and the Greek salad and gyro special. Generous portions and very tasty. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The dining space is casual open and airy with an open kitchen. There's a bar off to the side of the counter with beer, wine and speciality cocktails. If you're looking for a romantic, intimate Greek food experience, there are other suitable places. If you want great tasting Greek food at a decent price in a pleasant setting, eat at Pappoule's. They do takeout too! read more

Seems like the owners son has an angry gf that works the reception. Not pleasant, not welcoming. Put out. My wife's lamb chops came out 10 minutes before my gyro special. She was done before I got my food. She's rude though. I miss the owner himself being here, always better. Now the Pitas and baklava (purchased) are on display, leaving zero doubt about being homemade. Not smart. Let's pretend at least. I got my food to go, wife was done, my special was late. "LACKS FLAVOR!" To be honest, I wanted to like this place that was very excited because of the good reviews. I ordered the jalapeño hummus and the jalapeño hummus was very bland. I could only taste the chickpeas and jalapeño. I cannot taste any tahini or garlic or lemon or salt. So much so that I had to add some lemon and salt myself just to make it enjoyable. My euro was lackluster. The meat was dry and flavorless at best. The toppings were just very poorly constructed together. It wasn't constructed in a good cohesive way. The only thing I would be back for is their portobello mushroom that was really tasty and delicious. Overall I would not come back unless it was for the portobello mushroom alone. That portobello mushroom carries his whole restaurant.! The salad dressing is pretty good as well ! Taziki Was 7 out of 10. Clean restrooms and good dining experience. My friend said this was a pretty good place. Have not had too much luck at Greek restaurants. I was not really hungry so I ordered a couple of starters, wings and greek fries, yeah I know wings are not necessarily Greek but just wanted to see their take on it. The wings came with a tzatziki sauce which was ok but the wings were dry with little seasoning. I did not taste any of the marinade as described on the menu. The fries had feta cheese and Greek herbs (saw them could not taste them). I did enjoy the cheese. My friend got a gyro and I tasted that and the pita bread. The bread was good as I expected and the meat was ok. I like lamb but never really got into whatever they mix it with. Overall I guess I am not a Greek food lover. It was ok but the wings are really the reason for the lower score. They did not measure up. It is fast food (order at the register and they bring it to you, get your own drink, etc). read more

There bathrooms were clean and they also have a nice seating area indoors and out door patio area.The service was fast and efficient. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The parking is easy and plentiful. I'm sure the place can be very busy and parking might be a hassle. That just means it's good. I went twice for a late lunch and it wasn't that crowded but I'm sure during regular times it would be. Great Greek food! I had the Greek salad with gyro meat. The gyro meat was crispy and came with delicious tzatziki. The salad dressing is so good. It even came with a full piece of pita bread! The size is decent for the price. The staff is friendly and they did a nice job clearing dirty dishes and wiping down tables even though it was busy. I've been back a few times since my initial review and this place has grown on me! My 5 year old and husband would easily give this place 5 stars so I'll round up for them even though I'm more a 4.5. I don't love their dolmas or spanakopita, but their salads and gyros are so amazing! My husband ordered the pork chop once and it was cooked perfectly with a generous portion. Decent fast casual Greek that will fulfill your Mediterranean cravings if you don't have time for a 'real' restaurant. What I liked: Gyros are tasty and came out fast despite it being peak dinnertime. Menu had a little something for everyone and I definitely want to try the mushroom pita wrap (vegetarian) What I didn't like: Gyro was also lukewarm despite order after order flying out the kitchen. Didn't like greek fries either--there was no sort of dressing for them, just feta crumbles and a sprinkle of seasoning.
