Just peachy is just around the corner from our beach house. It's not only super convenient market but also really inexpensive . My girls and I love taking our almost daily walks to Just peachy for our ingredients for our daily plant based meals. I love all of the fresh produce that they offer. Just Peachy has also really expanded their vegan product options as well. It had been almost a year since I had been back to Just Peachy and I must say I am really impressed! i'd addicted to this place. I went yesterday, spent $50 and so far have made insane huevos rancheras and a salad nicoise with wild ahi and have enough food left for the rest of the week. recommendations: great fruit and veggies. italian cucumbers always fresh, berries great, frozen fish good, wide diverse international selection. great salsas, tortillas, pitas, guacs. turkish delight, legimes, higher prices on dairy and common packaged items (steer clear). excellent deals on great produce. i'm moving to the LA area, does anyone know of somewhere like Peachy on the westside or calabasas area? will miss my weekly grocery store!! read more

Love this place. Reliable, lots of organics and the have the best garlic and shallots in town. The friendly team makes shopping here fun. Not all of the produce is top-quality nor local. By comparison with the local farmer's markets the produce can be a little sad. Just peachy really should start sourcing from local farmers. I think they could also sell a lot of Prager Brothers bread and cookies they would start stocking it. Their selection on grocery items is a little thin but getting better all the time. It seems like they could stock a ton more items if they just had taller shelves. I wish I could get almost everything here so I wouldn't have to go all the way out to the big grocery chain stores. This place reminds me a little bit of the Moto market up in Lee Vining. This is a funky little mart in leucadia that has an eclectic assortment of items. The fresh veggies seem fresh. There are organics. I bought an organic veggie burger (frozen) and some pita breads and made a delicious lunch. They have the Naked bottled smoothies which can be hard to find sometimes. My neighborhood market! Just Peachy is right down the street from where I live. It is great for grabbing your basic food items such as eggs, fruits, veggies, rice, cheese etc. They always have an abundance of seasonal fruits and vegetables, which I believe to be from local farmers, and are very affordable, possibly cheaper than ralphs or vons. The owner also imports a lot of Persian specialty grocery items like spices, coconut milk, fava beans, dolma and more! My only recommendation for Just Peachy is I wish they could carry more meat. Then I would do all of my shopping there and would skip my trip to Ralph's up the street. All in all, great local fresh family market! read more

Just Peachy is an amazing neighborhood market that focuses on fresh fruits and vegetables. We like to purchase our veggies NOT from any boxed store, so this place is perfect for us! Plus, with prices like $2 for fresh blueberries, you really can't go wrong. Just Peachy has its own private parking lot. Outside the store, you'll find a variety of fresh fruits and veggies, plus a few fresh flowers. Grab what you love and head inside! They're traditionally a mexican grocery store, so you may find some uncommon items on the shelves. This can be great when you want variety! Plus they carry most local brands such as Dudley's bread and Julian Pies. They have the usual items like milk and eggs too. Stop by the place on the 101 in Leucadia! Just stopped for a fruit run on my way home. I picked up some peaches and strawberries for breakfast the next morning. I couldn't wait till morning to take a bite of my first peach, and was terribly disappointed to find it rotten in the middle. Upon further inspection, three of the four peaches were rotting inside. At least I still have strawberries!!! I eagerly opened the plastic shell, and right in the middle of the box, was a big clump of moldy strawberries. Ordinarily I might blame this on myself, for not paying attention, but the guy working the counter had gone in back and retrieved the strawberries for me. I love this market. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and more affordable than imaginable ($2 for a box of fresh raspberries). They also offer a variety of international foods and fresh breads you couldn't buy elsewhere. The owner, Amir, and his partner, Lorenzo, always make my day with a warm welcome, good conversation, and smiles. I feel lucky to have Just Peachy close to my home. read more

I love Just Peachy. Lorenzo, usually the guy at the counter, is basically the nicest, most hard-working person in the world. The produce there is cheap and fresh. I don't know what more you want from produce. It's produce. JP also has vegan product, a lot of ethnic items; but in addition to this, they have just good ol' milk, eggs, oj, etc. at really good prices. Good place, but could use space better. There aren't a lot of places to shop for groceries in the Encinitas area, barring the wildly and morbidly expensive Seaside Market down the road...and you have to travel way out to get a mainstream place like Ralphs or Albertsons. Anyway, after living in much bigger cities and seeing how smaller grocery stores can utilize space really well, Peachy could invest some moderate capital into expanding and using the floor and under the fruit stand to stock up some ethnic food and other stuff. I think the place has a lot of potential that is being squandered. read more

This is our weekly shopping spot. Produce is nearly 1/2 the price of the Farmers Market and just as fresh. We juice everyday, so it's important to have fresh veggies! Pantry items are great, lots of meat replacement products (SOYRIZO!) and super nice staff. Be a courteous parker if you must drive to Peachy! Lots of bicycles on the weekend and foot traffic everyday. And never leave your kids in the shopping cart! beware the sloped parking lot!! read more

This place is perfect. There's a wide variety of vegetables and fresh fruits so it surpasses the category of "corner-store". They have everything you need for day-to-day cooking and snacking including a good amount of ethnic brands and goods, which is awesome! The prices for fresh produce are very good, the prices for non-perishables -like a jar of pasta sauce- obviously you can find cheaper.. Things I love here: bomb local salsa, every-day french baguettes and fresh mozzarella and basil, local tortillas, Julian pies, and an extensive assortment of drinks. They do not sell alcohol or raw meats. But they have charcuterie meats and a cheese selection for last-minute guests ;) Lastly, the people are genuine, caring people of the Leucadia community. Many of the fruits and vegetables are much cheaper than what you would find at the larger retailers. Other staples like eggs and milk are also very competitive. There is a decent selection of gourmet type items as well as some high quality frozen meats and fish. I agree with other posters that the interior space could be more functional but that is a minor quibble. Some items like cereal are on the pricey side, but the freshness and low cost of everything else makes up for the few times I pick something like that up. All in all a great little neighborhood market with a lot of character. A minimum purchase is required for debit/Visa/MC (around $10) but I always make sure to bring cash. It's just easier. read more

I seriously can't believe how inexpensive the produce is at this market! I haven't shopped for much other than produce, but the prices are literally less than half of what most stores sell their fruits and veggies for. The guys are super nice and I'm grateful that a locally owned market feels like a neighborhood place rather than an overpriced specialty store (even though they carry many specialty items). This place is such a gem. It has everything you really need for a great meal, and all the while, a healthy one. Produce is amazing, and has me coming back a couple times a week. They also have low-carb breads and tortillas, and vegetarian and vegan options too. It's a great mix for everyone. I love seeing people fresh out of the ocean at dusk, still in their wet suits, carrying canvas bags. It reminds me why I live in, and love Leucadia. My only pit is that I'm a daily shopper, where I enjoy meandering through markets after work, picking out ingredients and items for that evening. Just Peachy has a debit/credit card minimum, so in this instance, I either buy more than I intend, or have to bring cash. Just FYI! read more

I am so happy that Just Peachy is available right down the street from me. There is something so rewarding about purchasing most of your produce from a local shop versus anything else, and Peachy definitely does the trick. Not only is everything stocked there fresh, it is a great deal. I stop by there as often as I can after work to load up on fresh produce and other goods to cook for dinner. I bought an authentic Indian cookbook and I was bit daunted by exotic spices that I needed for the recipe. Just Peachy had everything that I needed! The spices had really low prices & I kicked myself for buying some at Vons at a higher price point. Also, the coconuts that I bought at Vons turned out to be rotten & slimy and when I went the Vons mgr, he was indifferent. Just Peachy has fresh coconuts and which were partially peeled to allow easier access. My lesson? Shop there first! read more

I wish I lived within walking distance of this store. They stock everything you could ever hope to eat and more. I go here primarily for produce. There isn't always anything you'd want, it's more like subject to availability. It's weird that the quality surpasses the supermarkets, yet the prices are undeniably cheaper.
