I have never gotten a foreign object in my salad here. The crispy chicken is the GOAT. Live a little and add an egg. Service: service is pretty good and lines move fast. Note if you are coming in around 12-2, the lines will be long but move very quickly. Do not be afraid of the lines. Live dangerously and hop on. There is a pick up station for online orders by the door. I wouldn't want to eat where there are so many people over your shoulders. That is just me though. Food: I always get the buffalo chicken sandwich and i'll add an egg and avocado. I go heavy on the sauce because you only live once. YOLO lol. The chicken is juicy and it is plate if filling. A new place recently opened in Midtown. I went to check it out though it was for invited guests during the soft opening. I sort of forgot about it since there are so many options nearby. It was one of those days when I didn't feel like eating since it was so hot. While browsing through mealpal, I saw Just Salad as an option. The option was Backyard BBQ Salad which contains romaine, breaded chicken, charred corn, sharp white cheddar, crunchy onions and smokey BBQ ranch. Sounds good to me. The salad was ok since I was hungry in an hour. Why was I hungry? The salad contained a thinly sliced bread, mostly lettuce, small pieces of chicken, and healthy portion of corn, cheese and onions. So if you decide on this, you might get something to supplement your meal. This is a spacious area. The seats are in the front and the counter is in the back. A joke. Location closes at 8pm in one of the busiest business areas. They were down to their last 7 shrimp. I wanted a double order in my salad. They only give you 5 shrimp per order, which means I would have been 3 short. I asked how long for the more shrimp and a woman mentioned said 10 to 15 minutes. Again, this is in one of the busiest business areas and it's lunch time, which means they should have been better prepared with stocked items. So I asked the guy making my salad, whose attitude the entire time was like he couldn't be bothered if I take the last 2 shrimp will I be charged full price for them and he said yes. So I'd be getting less than half an order, but have to pay full price for them? I just said never mind. Then he put bare minimum salad dressing in and when I asked for a little more, he literally put a small squirt, looked at me and before I could say anything else, he just started mixing. I became addicted. The staff has been extremely Friendly except the one in Chelsea on 17th and 8ave. The manager was rude to the employee who was taking my order. Due to the pandemic. It was curbside and I told the guy can I pay cash he said yeah. Which they didn't take cash, and the Latino female manager was screaming at him "Why you taken cash, we don't take cash!". I work around the corner and was quite happy to hear they were opening up near by. I started going pretty much everyday and enjoyed my salads. The last couple weeks they ran out of avocado or other ingredients and my salads kept dwindling on things that I liked to order. I eventually received a chicken salad that had two pieces of totally raw chicken thrown into them. Raw as in still slightly frozen and never hit the grill. I was obviously put off from ever returning. I used to live on the UES and went to the location on 83rd street pretty regularly so was familiar with the menu. Today i happened to be in the area after a doctor appointment at the nearby hospital and stopped by. I'm pretty sure i was overcharged. I had an AMEX deal whereby i would get $5 off if i spent $15 or more so when i saw the "pick 2" option for $15.69, i figured that would cover it. The guy behind the counter told me i could order any salad i wanted or build my own and get another small item (like a soup) all for for the 15.69 deal (plus tax). So i opted to build my own salad and get the soup. They did not tell me that even though this pick 2 items included any medium salad including the protein, it apparently did NOT include building your own salad with protein as that was an extra charge. So somehow, with a 15.69 pick 2 deal and minimal items on the salad (i did have one kind of cheese) and the protein, i ended up paying over $22 with tax. I feel this was incredibly deceptive as I obviously would not have built my own salad (and prob wasn't even going to order the soup) if i knew it was going to cost so much. read more

I usually head over here when I am in the mood for a snack in between my meals and don't want something unhealthy, so, a salad is the perfect option. The serving size is just enough to leave me satisfied and the numerous toppings they offer are all delicious. The food here isn't the only thing that I am pleased with. The service here is nothing but great and I have not ran into any issues with the people working here, it seems that they are well managed. On top of this, the prices are very reasonable and don't drain my bank account as opposed to these other newly opened places. I've been this location a few times since they opened and I've been very happy with my overall experience here so far. The food is simple, tasty, healthy, and you're given the caloric value for all of their menu items which is great if you're counting calories or being health conscious, and it is a welcome change of pace from many of the other restaurants immediately accessible on this block. I've also been very impressed with the service staff. Just today a woman named Genesis made my salad and immediately asked for my name, then she inquired about my day, what I do, and all around made me feel very welcome and like she was happy to be helping me. She also prepared everything quickly and efficiently, all while chatting with me, and I don't feel like the quality of my food suffered in the slightest. What's great is that this has been my experience with every person I've interacted with at this location -- genuinely kind, attentive people who seem to enjoy what they do and relish in putting a smile on people's faces -- something that can be a bit hard to find in this part of the city. All in all, I'm very happy this location opened up so close to my place of work, and I will be going here frequently. So glad this location opened recently near my office! I have enjoyed my experience each time I've stopped in - friendly greetings & customer service, it's clean (so important to me), well stocked, and I think it's a better value than Chop't, which is also close. I always observed when I went to Chop't how small the topping portions were (salads were mostly just lettuce), and it was more costly. Just Salad sources locally and fixins' are fresh - at a reasonable price! Will definitely be a return customer. Special shout out to the crew last night - Issa, Chass, & Genesis - so friendly and helpful. When I mentioned to them how much I appreciated their customer service, one of the ladies said, "We want to treat our customers the way we like to be treated when we go out for something to eat." My business is in the neighborhood and I just discovered this place a couple of weeks ago. The salads are fresh loaded with veggies and lots of interesting textures and flavors but all healthy. (if you are sodium conscious, watch out for the spicy salads but there are PLENTY of low sodium options) I have been to other locations but the staff here is super warm.. greeting us at the door is Genesis..with a big smile helping to dole out our orders for pick up.. making sure they're ready on time, prepared as we ordered.. all with a personal touch. A minute after it was supposed to be delivered they canceled the order and offered a refund with no explanation. Turns out they closed for the weekend early (earlier than 7 on a weekend) took the order that was placed.
