    Overcharged for coffee
    Pee G.

Greta donuts and coffee. Just don't like the consistency of sometimes getting charged for the creamer and not other days. It's based on the owners mood or how I'm dressed lol. Ambiance in there is quiet and dark. But they seem genuine. Just can't figure out the cost on creamer lol

The donuts weren't very fresh so we ended up throwing them away after a few bites. Maybe if you come earlier in the day shortly after they're made..maybe they'd be better?

    Cream puffs!
    Chel R.

This is our spot for FRESH cream puffs. We call and order at 0400 when they are freshly made and in no time they will soon be on our palate being' oo' and' ahh' as it makes it down our hongry stomach:-) I dont know much about their other selections of pastries since we have only come here for their yummylicious cream puffs. I did take a few snapshots of what they had inside their glass case. #fulfillingthecravings

    Pretty good cream cheese puffs.

This donut shop seems to be known for their Cream Cheese Puffs. These little goodies are 4 for $1. Brought 8 back to share with the family. Both nieces liked the dough, but were not crazy about the filling. My wife and I thought it tasted fine. (3.5 stars) Maple French Cruller was very good. Not all shops make french crullers so when I come across them, I must try one. So happy that their version did not disappoint! (4.5 stars) Both the ambiance and the service was good. Shop was clean, and they had a couple of tables for folks to dine at. They are also a Lucky Retailer for 2014 and 2015! Make sure to buy your ticket! K & T donut shop is a fine place to satisfy your sweet tooth at!

    Buttermilk Donut with HAIR !
    Jeannette M.

Been coming here for years... but decided to find another donut shop. I found a gross hair in a Buttermilk donut. I understand it can happen, but it was the annoying way that the guy here reacted as to why our family WON'T RETURN! After I got home & past out the donuts I broke open the buttermilk donut & bit a piece. When I went to break off another piece I started to pull it apart & their it was a GROSS THICK PIECE of HAIR. I drove back to the shop & waited patiently till the workers helped other customers. I went up to whisper what the problem was & the worker said No. No Hair, in Total disbelief . I had to speak up & he shook his head No. So I raised my voice & Pointed at the donut in a napkin that I was holding in my hand. He looks down & his reaction was as if he didn't know what a hair looked like. He took it from me walked away & came back & said I Don't have anymore of these & shrugged his shoulders. He told me pick another. So I did even though I was Grossed out & annoyed.... He tossed it the bag & put it on the counter & walked away. NOT AN APOLOGY, Not even a Thank you for being understanding. Forget this gross place , I know their Donuts are fresh but they obviously are Not careful enough because there is Hair in the Donut. I drive to Whittier Blvd & Beach Blvd now. Best shop over there. Across from Winchells. I Don't care if this is next to my house.

One time before it had a strange chemical-like taste and I couldn't finish it, but I think that was just a one-off because it's normally really good. The banana matcha was good too, although it could've used a little more banana foam this time. The lines can get pretty long, so I was glad it wasn't too busy today. My favorites are the fish sandwich pastry and the jalapeño cheddar pastry. This time I also tried the salt and cookie butter croissant, the s'mores Danish, the Nutella banana Danish, and the turkey and cheese croissant. Everything was good except the turkey and cheese croissant, it was way overcooked for my liking, so I probably wouldn't order that one again. Overall, a good bakery with consistently tasty pastries and drinks.

Most everything costs between $3-5. What a steal! I ordered their new item -- a banana latte made with their own banana syrup and cold foam to go with a double shot of espresso. It was tasty though seeing the old timers with their hot brewed coffees and bean buns made me wish I'd gotten something hot too. On July 5, I arrived at the store around 6:50 a.m. to pick up my order, but the staff could not find it. After checking, they told me that the person who took my order on June 28 had written it down incorrectly as a 6:30 p.m. pickup, not 6:30 a.m. Even though they admitted that the order was written incorrectly on their side, they told me I would have to wait about 30-40 minutes for them to prepare the original items. I had to pick up my order and leave right away, so I ended up taking different replacement items instead and got money back the price difference in cash. What was more disappointing was how the situation was handled afterward. I did not receive any apology from the bakery that morning, so later that day I called the store hoping to at least hear a simple "sorry" for the inconvenience. The employee on the phone only asked questions like who took the order and why the price difference was paid back in cash not card, and never offered any apology. Because of this, I went back to the store in person to speak with the manager or owner. The owner, pretending as manager, told me that the order slip showed a 6:30 p.m. pickup time, not 6:30 a.m., and insisted that there was no fault on their side. She didn't say sorry but just blamed the one who wrote wrong. I explained that all I wanted was a basic apology: they had written the order time incorrectly, I could not receive what I originally ordered, I had to take a smaller replacement order, and then I had to visit another bakery to buy more items to make up for the shortage. Even after explaining the inconvenience this caused, I still did not receive a sincere apology. The lack of responsibility and basic customer service in handling their own ordering mistake was very disappointing, and that is why I am sharing this experience here.

When you get the app, you can also get $5 automatically applied to your first app purchase. If you ever signed up for their rewards program before downloading the app, they import your points from your phone number account :). My only mild complaint is that the timed order- for-later request did not seem to make too big a difference, as my drink was probably ready 25 minutes early. Better early than late, though! Staff were friendly and informative as always. Shop had a few customers seated inside and outside, so there was plenty of room to study or sit a while. It was a bit cold for me, so probably a good place if you want some strong AC. Music seemed like a millenial-pleasing alternative-y mix: good for nondistracting background sound. Honey Bori Latte is one of my favorite seasonals anywhere! Loved it as intended at full sweetness (not too sweet) and still loved it at less sweet (recommend if enjoying with a bread or pastry imo). I like most specialty barley drinks. Default is dairy, so I assume there would still be some even if made with oat milk ($1 extra). I love the crunchy wheat snack topping, and it kind of reminds me of the cocoa puff topping in that black caf latte in Dland/Galaxy's edge. Will be back!

Yet recently I've been coming and truly haven't been enjoying it the same. I used to come and study or work as I enjoyed their drinks and baked goods. The environment is usually buzzing with more people working or studying or groups of people talking. Their pastries are always good and yummy which is a BIG hit. Yet I am a big coffee person, the quality of the coffees and drinks have gone down hill a lot. I would always order the Campfire latte or the Smoking Spaniard latte (when it still had cardamom in it) and would LOVE it. But now when I order drinks, most of them aren't very good or are missing flavors. The Smoking Spaniard is still yummy yet it used to be sooo much better back in the day, now it taste more like a regular spanish latte. I always see the new seasonal drinks and menu and get so excited to try them just incase I find a new favorite. Most of them have been a miss sadly :( The fruit lattes and drinks from their seasonal menu usually has actual chunks of fruit in it which makes it hard to drink and you have to chew while drinking a latte ;( not my fave. I went in yesterday to try their summer '26 seasonal drinks which is Yakult! I was sooo excited. A blueberry Yakult matcha latte! yummy! I got there, got a new earl grey lemon loaf from the bakery, got my blueberry Yakult matcha latte and sat down to try. Sadly, it didn't hit... the blueberries are still super chunky so I had to use 2 different straws because my first one got stuck with blueberries in it. The Yakult foam was really good but the blueberries weren't :( I HIGHLY recommend when making fruit syrups for coffee, boil down the fruit and blend it or strain out the big pieces. I sadly have stopped really coming to Smoking Tiger so often because I haven't been impressed and other coffee shops have been popping up that has better quality now :( Smoking Tiger has been focusing more on quantity of stores rather than quality of their food and drinks.

It's obvious that Paris Baguette has a strong pulse on what's trendy in pastry and they're really smart about what they put out there. This month, they had a smores theme, so I got a smores liege waffle and a smores croissant. The croissant was "new york style", where it was filled with a marshmallow creme and dipped in chocolate. The liege waffle was pretty nicely crispy like a kouign amann and it also had that marshmallow creme that provided the perfect touch of sweetness. I love that you can get a curry croquette here and their version is not bad. What I love getting here is their version of a coffee croissant doughnut. Compared to Dominique Ansel's version, I believe their coffee doughnut compares pretty favorably. Unlike Ansel, who offers the coffee doughnut occasionally, Paris Baguette offers the coffee pastry pretty consistently and I'm appreciative of that.

From the gold and white décor to the soft jazz playing throughout the café, the entire space feels elegant, peaceful, and welcoming. One thing I really enjoyed was the self-serve bakery experience. You grab a tray when you walk in and choose from a selection of fresh pastries, breads, croissants, cookies, macarons, cakes, pies, tarts, and so much more. There truly is something for everyone. I ordered the Honey Lavender Matcha and a chocolate muffin and spent about 11bucks. Let me just say, both were excellent. The matcha was perfectly balanced with earthy matcha, honey, and lavender without being overly sweet. The chocolate muffin was soft, moist, and filled with a rich chocolate center that made every bite even better. I also appreciated the attention to cleanliness and presentation. Many of the fresh bakery items were individually wrapped and sealed, while others were beautifully displayed behind glass, giving the café a polished and upscale feel. What really stood out to me was the value. I spent less here than I had at another coffee shop earlier that week, yet left feeling like I received so much more. The quality, atmosphere, food, and overall experience made it feel like money well spent. Whether you're looking for a place to study, work remotely, enjoy a coffee date, meet a friend, or simply treat yourself, Tous Les Jours is absolutely worth a visit.
