I discovered this store when I visited Kpop Music Town in Buena Park for the first time. K Place was in the same plaza. K Place was full of Korean stationary goods and many cute merchandise. They also have a very small selection of Kpop artist albums and a good amount of souvenirs. I was able to find a rare album that I couldn't find after traveling to 3 Kpop music stores. I think I was just super lucky that day because it was also the last copy. So check this place out anyway because you just never know. WACK experience! My friends and I went to go check out this place since we heard it was cute and had KPOP albums. However, right when we entered the store the employees at the register took a glance at us and started blasting loud music to deter us from coming in. I guess they suspected we were trying to steal? Because one of the employees started following us around as we were browsing through the stationary section. It was annoying and uncomfortable. When it came time to buy our stuff, the employee working the register was cold and dismissive. In a nutshell, the customer service was horrible. K-Place does really well regarding COVID-19. They keep a safe amount of people in their store and it makes me as a customer feel comfortable shopping in-store. In the weekends they have pretty long lines since they limit the amount of people in the store but it's very much well worth the wait! Regardless of COVID, the employees in the store has worked even harder to make sure everything is sanitized. There are hand sanitizers at the front of the store and at the cashier as well. I also see the employees disinfecting the baskets that customers use to shop with which is really good! The employees are very welcoming and nice as they greeted me in the store :) They always ask around if anybody needs baskets as they're shopping. They are very enthusiastic as well with the customers! They always play fun songs on the TV that they dance to and it's refreshing to see amidst this pandemic! Overall, K-Place is THE place to be! Very bright and spacious and caters to everyone from people who love K-Pop, stationary and even toys for little kids! My friend asked a worker about an album and she spoke in a rude tone and would not even look at her to talk to her. She had her back to my friend and dismissed her. Absolutely loved this shop!! Spent so much money here . We went on the weekend of bts concert so it was busy. We actually went to the plaza, hoping to go to choice music but there was a longggg line. We stumbled upon this shop by accident and it was the best thing that happened. Everything was sooo cute. I spent almost two hours in there!! Love the variety of cute things. I go to KPlace almost every month, if not every week. I usually come to buy their albums, which are decently priced compared to other stores. The only problem I have with their albums is that they do not restock very often, so they do not have the albums I am looking for most of the time. The store is very well organized with a variety of different items to buy. They have lots of k-pop merchandise as well as stationaries, jewelry, and toys. The staff are very welcoming and always seem like they really love their jobs! When I come here I always see them dancing and singing along to music videos playing on the screen in the back. I mostly come here for the earring selection. $11.99 for the paper backing and $7.99 for the plastic. But I honestly think they just charge you $11.99 for all the earrings because I know I'm pretty sure I got earrings in plastic but when I said something they said it was paper.... earrings in paper are on top though and I know the difference.... The 2 boxes I wanted to buy were already on my hands. That's not right! When you say you close at 10pm, you should honor your hours as stated. Love love love KPlace!!! One of my fave go to for KPop CDs, merch and stationaries. They're usually pretty well stocked and they carry both official and unofficial merch. Best part is they are slightly cheaper than other KPop stores in the area. Staff are friendly and are always as peppy as the KPop vids playing on their audio tv. They also have a good rewards program, 1 point for every dollar spent with $5 reward for every 100 points. You can redeem it right away or save to accumulate higher reward amount. read more

So first things first, this place got mad cute stuff. There's so much stationary things that my little sister was interested in and as well as korean idol merch. Lots of cool stuff in here. Only reason why it's lower is the album I purchased. It was sealed in plastic and I assumed it was brand new. Opened it and no photocard was in it. Flipping through every single page nothing is in there. Check the back of the cd and it's a bit dirty. Started checking the cover and I noticed the binding has a bit of wear and tear. I frequent a lot of kpop stores in the LA area, and K Place had a unique selection of merch that I don't see at other stores. I purchased a very cute BT21 keychain from a line that I haven't been able to find anywhere else in a brick-and-mortar store. They don't have a huge album collection, but the merch and stationery make the store a must-visit for kpop goods despite that. The staff were friendly & they offer a rewards program. Very cute store, has a lot of other nice stuff in there besides kpop merch, & even offered a free gift w/ purchase the last time I came in. My only issue is the jewelry being sold inside the store. The wall of earrings they have beside the register looks stunning, it makes u want to buy each one, but honestly try not purchase any of them at all. I bought 3 pairs and one of them broke right as I tried putting the backing on when it was in my ear. I pretty much go here every week to explore all the K-pop stuff that is there, and every time I go here, my visit has always been nice and pleasant. I don't understand why this place gets bad reviews. I mean everything about this place is perfect to me. The store is well-organized, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the stuff over there is affordable. Also, the K-pop stuff over there like the albums and lightsticks are legit. I also think it's cool that the staff gives you freebies for your purchases. Even if I can't find anything to buy, I always feel like this is a good getaway spot if I feel bored in my life. The staff puts on K-pop music and they even dance to it which I feel amazed by. Sure the staff likes to talk to each other, but they are willing to talk to people like me to make my visits more fun. This place is doing everything that they can to be open with the COVID going on, so we should appreciate them a little more because of that. This place is so cool that if I had the chance to go on vacation, I would go here. After all, this is my favorite K-pop shop. Overall, this place gives me some good vibes. My friend & I both went there last Wednesday, the thing about us is that our ears hurt easily when music is played to loud by speakers. They played the music slightly to loud to our liking, everytime we need to talk we have to yell at each other since we couldn't hear wach other talking. After we finished buying a few things & walked out of the place, my ears were slightly hurting. But they had a very nice selection of stationary supplies like little planners, journals, pens, markers, & etc. also albums were only on one side of wall very obvious to find it & had pretty limited amount of albums. My visit was on Friday, August 14th in the afternoon. There were three girls chit chatting at the counter instead of working. I saw that their face masks were on sale which is good because they are overpriced to begin with. There is a minimum dollar amount that you have to spend to be able to use your ATM or debit card. My total was $4.30. I had $4 cash. However, I did not have $0.30 on me. They denied me the sale over $0.30. I really did like the mask, so I walked out to my car, and grabbed the $0.30 and came back and purchased my mask. However, I will never shop there again. As I stated previously, the merchandise is overpriced to begin with. But, to squabble over $0.30? No, thank you. I will take my business elsewhere. My parents have owned their own business and I've worked there with them, in Food Service, Retail and now in a high-level corporate office setting. In my retail position I was the assistant store manager. Never in any one of my jobs with my parents or with corporate Food Service establishments or retail establishment have I ever denied a purchase because of $0.30. I am 100% Korean so this is not a racist bad review. read more

K-Place is a store that sells Kpop albums and merch, as well as random toys, school supplies, household items, etc. Due to COVID, they only let in around 9-10 people at a time so there's usually a long line outside. You usually have to wait 10-20 min depending on how long other people stay in the store. If you don't want to wait, there is another Kpop place at The Source that doesn't have lines. If you're looking to buy non-Kpop related items at K-Place, then you'll have to wait. Some Kpop albums at K-Place are also $1-$2 cheaper than Kpop albums at the other Kpop store if you're looking to save a little money. However, the school supplies (stationary, pencils, pens, notebooks) are pretty overpriced if you're just looking for something to write with. If you want to buy them for their aesthetic, then it's ok. The same can be said about their household items and accessories; they are expensive but are bought for their novelty. Anyways, there's good vibes whenever you enter the store because there's always Kpop playing in the background and there's a TV that shows the music videos too. The workers here also like to dance to the music and do live-streams of themselves dancing on YouTube in their free time. Overall I like how people can embrace their passion for Kpop here and find some cool new items along the way. read more
