My husband and I have been coming here a few years and it was our go to and we just loved it here! The music is fun and we liked the feel of the place. We took a small break but returned after a few months and it seems ownership may have changed? The food quality was still the same other than the plates for meat have been reduced HEAVILY per round, they used to bring you a full plate of each meat selection however this last time they put all 4 choices on one plate, that was kind of off but hey we get it people waste, when we went to order our second round a guy came to our table who wasn't our server (maybe a son of the owner or a manager because he was checking all tables) he asked if we wanted another round and then followed up with "so is this your last round." Whoa what?!?? We had been there less than 20 minutes and thought that was weirdly rude. We then heard him asking every table who ordered that. For an AYCE place this made us immediately uncomfortable like we needed to hurry and go. This is not a question anyone should be asking in an AYCE establishment unless people are coming up on the allotted time. Sadly for this reason we probably won't return and will find a different spot. read more

I came in with a large group and we were taken great care of, the staff never let our table go too long without asking if we needed anything and they were very attentive to our needs which was amazing! The music was poppy and fun, with tvs around so we could watch the music videos while we waited for the food to cook. I loved how calm the interior was, it felt very comfortable and easy to chat with everyone without struggling to hear each other. The food was all incredible. For the AYCE, our tables favorite was definitely the miso pork belly and the braised short ribs. Their drinks are also great but they take a little while to get out to you. Overall I felt like this experience was well worth the time and money to visit. Definitely a recommend! read more

Ok, this review is mostly my husband's opinion as he lived in Seoul for a few years and feels very strong about how Korean BBQ should be. As we entered, it was quiet with only a few customers in the restaurant. We were greeted and seated pretty quickly which was good. Once we got seated, I realized the floor was really slippery due to grease or something like that, and it was in the back of my head throughout the entire dinner. We looked at the menu and decided to do AYCE deluxe BBQ since it came with seafood options. Then we realized if we wanted the radish and lettuce wraps, you had to pay extra for it. This was off putting because those items are usually free and plentiful at mom and pop Korean BBQ places. Then we realized that K-Town did not offer doenjang chigae (fermented soybean stew) or gye-ran chim (steamed egg). The server said they stopped serving the steamed egg dishes because eggs were expensive. By then my hubby already showed signs of displeasure, but I was hoping the food would win him over...? When it was time to order the meats, that's when he really got annoyed. We were told we had to order 4 plates in one setting, which was really puzzling because what if we only want 2 plates for now? Also you had to order one of each type of meat so the many options on the menu presented more of an illusion of choice. From his experience, Korean BBQ is supposed to be communal and fun. The table should be full of side dishes and the meat is really just part of the experience, not the star of the show. By having so many rules and by being stingy with vegetables and side dishes, K-Town feels like a chore and sucks the fun out of having Korean BBQ. Since he didn't enjoyed the dining experience, needless to say I didn't enjoyed it either. I personally love the soups and the bibimbap, my favorites are the kimchi stew and the seafood bibimbap. I have tried out the AYCE but it's not my favorite but still nice to try if you haven't. There has been a few times when I've gotten the wrong order but it was cleared up quickly and I was not charged for it. read more

K-Town is truly just OK. Service made up for the food. If you choose AYCE, the entire party must participate. There is plenty of meat options, but the quality leaves much to be desired. It's a fun experience with friends, but with the price and quality I'd rather DIY at home. With each round of orders, you have to order 4 different meats, no doubling options. The banchan was lacking and mediocre. If you are a quantity over quality type person, this is the place for you. But I was not impressed, nor would I pay nearly the $40 to come here again. You can get much better Korean BBQ-style meats at restaurants or just get the marinated meats from H-Mart and cook them at home. Service was friendly and attentive - although some reviews read differently. We didn't have an issue ordering our subsequent rounds, and we also had our grill changed 3x. This was our first time trying this place. It was my son's birthday so he wanted to try something new. All of your party needs to be present to be seated. The table that we were seated at had dried food on the edge of the grill and the table was sticky. The food is brought out in shifts after you have finished the prior round. The quantity is super small portions, I'm talking a bite or two each of meat or seafood. We tried calamari, shrimp, scallops and octopus along with a variety of different meats. The seasoning is very minimal with a salted sesame oil and a Ponzu. Everything is served with white rice and a bunch of little things to try. The potato salad was everyone's fave! This is for a Sunday night visit around 5:30pm. There was a short wait when we arrived, as they needed time to set our table. There were plenty of available spots when we arrived. A large man greeted us at the door with disdain and then sat us at our table without menus! He was quite rude and acted as if it was a lot to ask him to do his job. However, our waitress Darcy (I think was her name) was very quick, friendly and polite and gave us excellent service. It seemed like she was having to cover the entire restaurant by herself for order taking, drinks, and serving of the food. Our drinks took a very long time to arrive at our table as she indicated that the large rude man that greeted us, was supposed to get them. As soon as she realized we didn't have them, she immediately walked to the bar and began making them for us. We always do the 34.99 all you can eat and select the beef ribs, teriyaki chicken and a few varieties of the bulgolgi with a side of lettuce to make little "tacos" with the meat, rice, and sweet dipping liquid. Their soju peach cocktail is fantastic. Highly recommend. Once we were nearing the end of our meal, every table was just about filled and there was a line of multiple groups waiting at the door. There is a parking lot out front but it will fill up completely when they are busy. I've come here quite a few times and up until this last time I've never had any complaints. It wasn't particularly busy, we came Sunday evening around 6:30 or so, got seated right away. They were attentive and quick in getting our initial order and drinks. They have a water pitcher already to go when you sit down which I still love, I wish this was more common. For some reason, our server never checked in, he swung by and grabbed our empty side dishes... Didn't bring us more, so we had to get their attention and ask for more. I thought it was weird they didn't ask to begin with, but then it took them a long time to come back with our side refills. They don't give you a ton of meat, which I prefer, feels like it gives us more chances to order different meats. Unfortunately, our waiter brought the side dishes, took our empty meat tray and left without asking if we were ready to order more. A random waitress walking by after our grill was empty had to ask if we wanted a grill change and while she was doing that our waiter came back over to take our second order of meats. I can't tell if the slow service is to make people fill up faster and eat less or if they were just not doing their best that night. It was frustrating feeling like we had to search for our waiter for simple requests. That being said, everything was delicious, the drinks were super sweet and the sour jelly was a great addition. Luckily we came on a Sunday when they just opened so we were seated right away even with a group of 8 people, but it did get much busier when we were leaving. The banchans were simple but the potato salad was probably the best of them all! My group did the $35 All You Can Eat option which I thought was worth it for the amount of food you get but highly recommend going with people who can eat their money's worth! You order 4 meats at time but it has to be different? But I wasn't sure if that was only for the first round or for all the rounds so that was a little confusing. Overall I would recommend the LA Galbi for sure, it was seasoned really well. The chadol (thinly sliced beef brisket) is a KBBQ classic and our other favorites were the spicy bulgogi and the miso pork belly. Service was quick and they did change our grill one time but after they got busier they didn't really come back. I had to flag someone down for the salad so we didn't get that until the third round of meat which was unfortunate. But it was refreshing and much needed in between the rounds of heavy meats. I currently have an obsession with AYCE Korean BBQ, and K-Town delivers every time. Super friendly woman who runs the bar. She knows our soju cocktail order as soon as she sees us (maybe we come here too often? ). The service is fast and attentive, where wait staff check in frequently to bring additional selections. The spicy bulgogi is my fave, along with the many pork belly options and the pork jowl cook up nice and crispy. Also- you can't beat the KPop videos on the zillion TVs. read more

Was craving kbbq while in Portland and opted for K-Town BBQ as it was one of the few options open during the day and time we were around. We showed up as a walk in for a group of 3. The experience started mid for us as the restaurant only had a few patrons dining, yet we waiting about 7 min before anyone even greeted us. No acknowledgement upon entering, no acknowledgement as someone walked past us. We just were kept standing there and I was about ready to leave. Finally we were greeted and brought to a booth style table. The menu is offered all you can eat style during which you can order 4 selections of meat at the same time before ordering the next round. I've loved everything I have tried, food or drink. The spicy bulgogi is delicious. Everytime I have done the bbq it yourself style. We do the order four option. All of the tiny sides and kimchi are yummy. It's a lot of food and it's safe to have at least 3 people! Fun for big groups. Disappointing experience for a parent and excited little one I've been to this Korean BBQ spot before with my 3-year-old and had a great time, so I was really looking forward to coming back to celebrate with him. We were already seated and enjoying appetizers when the server informed us that my son would need to be at least 4 years old to participate in the all-you-can-eat option (around $39). That wasn't communicated at all before seating, and it was never an issue during our previous visit. Instead of offering a reasonable alternative, the only option I was given was to order a la carte--bringing the potential cost to over $120, just for the two of us. As a mom who was coming with my son, I didn't have the option to bring another adult to "share the cost" of a meal, and this felt really unfair. My son was visibly excited to be back and even mentioned remembering the place from before, which made the sudden shift even harder. I understand restaurants have policies, but they need to be clearly communicated and applied consistently. More importantly, there should be some flexibility or family-friendly options for situations like this. Other Korean BBQ spots have been far more accommodating--offering kid-friendly pricing or set menus for a parent and child. When I brought this up, the manager just repeated, "I don't want to ruin your night," but by not offering any alternative and treating us like we didn't belong, that's exactly what happened. I left feeling excluded and disappointed. This is a place I wanted to support, but unfortunately, I won't be back unless they rethink how they treat families. read more

TL;DR: Overall, I think K-Town BBQ is good and would come again. Especially since one of the few AYCEs! Not impressed with flavors but it had good food and good service! We went on a hunt to find an AYCE (All You Can Eat) Korean BBQ place in Beaverton. Place was clean, didn't smell and wasn't smokey! We chose the Plus Package ($38.99 per person). Only ordered beef, pork, seafood and vegetables. Sorry didn't get any photos of the food, we were so hungry Banchan (side dishes) was a variety of pickled dishes (kimchi, seaweed, radishes, bean sprouts, and (what I assumed was) eggplant. They were all okay, but the seaweed was new for me - I haven't seen it at other Korean BBQs. We didn't get everything on the menu but here's what we did try! Favorite Beef: LA GALBI (cross cut short ribs), great flavor/marinade, nice cut Favorite Veggie: Trumpet mushrooms, nice portion and cooked quickly Favorite Pork: THIN SAMGYUPSAL (pork belly) Favorite Seafood: Garlic Butter Scallops, small but tasty. Quality of meat was fine - not bad, but not great. Didn't like the MAEUN OJINCEO (Spicy Squid). The marinade had a bitter aftertaste. The (regular pork belly) salmupsal was a bit too fatty and took while to render. You have to order four meats every round. In addition, you couldn't order multiples of one item. The uneaten food fee was not charged. We planned it well and didn't have any leftovers of anything besides the banchan we didn't finish. We liked some of the veggie and side options, but could be better. However, the portion of mushrooms was good. We ordered both mushroom types and onions. The corn cheese was a little disappointing; there wasn't a lot of cheese. The water cooking out of the corn made the bottom a bit watery - another sign it didn't have enough cheese. I was hoping K-Town offered ice cream like other AYCE KBBQ restaurants I've been to. Came on Sunday evening. No wait for two people Service was friendly and checkin in enough. Brian did a great job waiting for us. He was kind and explained how the menu worked. He always checked on us and never left us on an island. The service he provided to us made our meal that much more enjoyable. We had 5 people in our group and was able to finish 4-rounds of 4 meat choices per round. The brisket, kalbi ribs, bulgogi and my favorite, spicy pork belly were all wonderful. We had plenty of banchan side dishes to keep us busy and Brian constantly came over to change our grill plate. This is my 2nd time here in the course of 3 years and was never disappointed in each of my visits. I hope my review can help encourage people to try this place out inspite of all the other negative experiences. I wouldn't recommend this place. The rules make no sense for the all- you- can eat menu option. The meat was meh, the portions small and you have to order 4 different meat dishes. There is no doubling meat options. The side portions are small as well and the servers don't come often to check on your needs. It was $40/person for the "deluxe" option, or whatever it's called, and I know for a fact we will have to swing by somewhere on the way home to grab something for the kids to eat, since the portions are small and they only eat 2 types of meat, but remember you have to order 4 different meat options, but very small servings! So the favorite meat was eaten quickly and the "had to order" meat was disappointing. Skip it. There are better Korean restaurants with less rules. Save your money.. especially in this economy. I have been to the Beaverton location many times over. We wanted my mom to experience K town as we thought she would love it. Food and selection was close to the Beaverton one. They don't serve a salad but the Vancouver location does. The biggest thing we noticed was service was awful! We were given forks and had to ask for chop sticks. Then we had to ask for spoons. Each time took 5-10 minutes to track people down. We had a length of time between being done and being asked about our next round and we also had a hard time getting a refill on the sides. So my wife and I have a history of delayed holiday dinners. We figure everyone is going out on Valentine's Day and it's gonna be crowded. The starters (Boc Chon?) were already on the table. Bean sprouts, Kimchi, fish cakes, broccoli, and pickled radish and carrots. Everything was on a constant refresh except the mashed potato, that was just kinda odd. We started with beef bulgogi, short ribs, pork belly. My wife did the cooking and passed to me after she took her share. It was very similar to Fogo De Chao...ok not exactly but we got to use scissors and tongs ourselves to make everything bite size. Had a great dinner and the 35.99 AUCE price is definitely a great value. Just a side note, Nak Won is amazing (try the kimchi pancake) and Fogo is an experience in itself. Me and my boyfriend is all for AYCE Korean BBQ. Walking in I loved the ambiance. The k-pop music and music videos, the neon Soju bottles was all a vibe! This is one of our fav places because they actually have really good tripe and intestines, and the marinades are pretty good. The sides could get a lot of work though. Every side they had was bland, but we do like the fish cake. What made it 3 stars, was the basic customer service. Upon walking in, they didn't look happy or welcoming. When we were sat down they kinda talked behind the counter and didn't really help us out for a while. Other then that, it's pretty good. read more

One of the newer KBBQ's to hit Beaverton, although already existing on the eastside of Portland. The interior is clean and the aesthetics are trendy. Service is just okay though, and my expectations for this place was a little higher with how nice this restaurant was compared to KBBQs around Seattle. Some of the meats like the Bulgogi were marinated well and tasted really good, but then some of the other meats tasted quite lackluster. I've been here twice already and I think I can say that this place is just very average for KBBQ. I'm glad we're getting more KBBQ and Korean establishments on the westside, but there can definitely be some improvements read more

Stopped by for lunch with a group of 6 on a Saturday with no wait! The ordering process was easy enough - everyone at our table participated and we ordered 4 meats at a time plus veggies. I've never ever seen that before in my life and I've been to many Korean barbecue places. We wanted to order two orders of beef belly, but they said we cannot double the meat and we have to order four different selection of meat which forces us to order something we don't want. This K town is worth the drive from Portland. The food portions are huge! Way bigger than the one on Foster. The prices are also a bit cheaper. Way better value. The service was great. Our host gave us some good boba recommendations nearby. The ambiance was good on a Thursday night. Loud K-pop but not too busy. I would go out of my way to go here for the portions and price.
