This K town is worth the drive from Portland. The food portions are huge! Way bigger than the one on Foster. The prices are also a bit cheaper. Way better value. The service was great. Our host gave us some good boba recommendations nearby. The ambiance was good on a Thursday night. Loud K-pop but not too busy. I would go out of my way to go here for the portions and price. Whenever I see All You Can Eat next to Korean, my expectations plummet. I was getting hangry so I just wanted food. When you walk in, you feel as though you are dining at a restaurant in Vegas. It is huge restaurant, that is filled with oversized booths, that have a grill in the middle. There is blue ambient lighting, and TV's along the walls showing the latest and greatest K-POP Videos. Even though the vibe is typically not something I would seek out, the only negative was receiving a dirty menu. Everything else more than met my exceptions. We did not use the grill, or get the All you can eat, but opted instead for the Seafood Bibimbap, seafood pancake, and a side of glass noodles. My husband was surprised by the size of the dishes. The restaurant had a lively, family-style atmosphere, yet one of the staff members told my son to be quiet, which felt totally out of place in such a loud and busy environment. Came in for some Korean BBQ for my birthday (first time ever) and was disappointed in the very slow service. Once we were seated and asked for a few more minutes to decide the wait staff decided to ignore us for a good 20 minutes. Sat and served other tables their entire meals while we continued to wait. I finally had to get up and go ask our waiter to come take our order. Food was good. You can tell some of the meats are frozen (makes them easier to slice is my guess). The experience is great. Was fun to cook our own food. TVs are way too loud considering people's conversations and the noise from cooking your own food. I most likely won't be back but my kids will, they love this place. Excited to try this new location. The first time I came there was a 2+ hrs wait time so I left. This time I came on a holiday weekend and surprisingly there was no line. I also called ahead to ask about getting on the waitlist early and was told they don't do reservations. I liked their side dishes and salad, especially the salad (all refillable) because it helped me feel less heavy. Steamed egg is always my starter but their steamed egg was collapsed and I can make it way better myself. 29 items on the basic menu were enough to make me satisfied as I don't really care about seafood for KBBQ. People can order 4 items each time so I was just going down the list to try as many things as I could. Some items were great and some were not. They gave us lots of food for the 1st round and I didn't enjoy 2 of the 4 items so we got stuck with them due to the large portion. Most chicken ones didn't taste good to me, especially the lemon pepper chicken as it touched other food on the plate and made everything taste very sour and gross. In terms of service, it was terrible. After we got seated, I saw lots of liquid on my booth but my server left so I just asked the next waitress that passed by for a towel. She said ok but then went to ring some customer up and never came back. It took me a while to get a towel from a different waitress. My server changed our grill quickly after every round but it was hard to get her attention when she wasn't nearby. There should be a device on each table for customers to call for service. Lots of servers there that night were like purposely ignoring us. I raised my hand but no one came. There was a waiter that literally walked by our table and ignored me when I said excuse me with my hand up. And of course they saw me just fine when I put my credit card on the table. We were super excited to see that a new Ayce kbbq place opened in the west side of Town. We were literally counting days to when we could visit. So here's the deal- Good- the marinade for Bulgogi and spicy Bulgogi are good, might even be better than that at Kkoki. The Thin pork belly was tasty. Steamed egg was good too. I liked that they had some appetizers with the Ayce option like the corn cheese but the corn cheese itself wasn't very cheesy if you get what I mean. Bad- super slow and stingy service. The food takes forever to come and when they do come, for example, for the brisket, which you normally get a whole plate at other places, you get like five pieces here. This applies to almost every meat. The beef brisket was too thick and kind of tough. So all in all, the holistic experiment wasn't that great. Ktown is also on the expensive side since it's like 32 per person plus tip. They also apparently had a shortage of grills? It's just weird that you might not be able to change grills, the marinade makes the grill all burnt. We only got one grill change because of that. Well, would I come again? Probably. When I don't want to drive forty minutes to the other side of town to go to kkoki Ayce. We like Ayce because then we don't need to think about budgeting when ordering and we can get tons of variety. Ktown bbq is fine but definitely there are lots of things to complain about. read more

We were really excited that they decided to open the location in Beaverton because we love going to the one in Foster but it's a pretty far drive now for us. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of seating but it didn't seem like they had quite enough staffing to accommodate that. Upon being seated it took a little bit until we got our drinks and first order. The sodas were very flat. The meat portions are very small as we came in a party of three. Also we weren't allowed to put the next order in until we finished everything from the first order. This led to a lot of waiting to eat which may be their plan to make you full faster. We ordered the LA Galby every round and at one point it went from two pieces to one piece. We were also given only two pieces of pork belly which were fairly small each round. Since they just open maybe they're still getting everything figured out so we will probably give it one more try in a few months. They just opened up and I had high hopes it would be similar to the ktown on the east side. They got the same name but, it's not the same. The portion were extremely small for 3 people, and we couldn't ask for more meat until we finish up all the meat on the grill, that's a first for me. Seems like they are just trying to run down the clock for us. The soda was flat and only half the staff were nice. The courtesy might not be there as expected when spending $100 for dinner. Their relaxed language along the lines of friends talking to each other. Smiles for the hustle! Extensive selection of meats to BBQ! Must choose 4 at a time though you cannot opt for doubling or tripling on choices. Curious meats like baby octopus, wine marinade, Cajun chicken. We were lucky enough to get Blake to work with us on our first time here. He offered absolutely amazing suggestions and explained all of the rules for their all-you-can-eat option. For $35 per person this is an absolute steal! It's important to note that the tetkbokki and japche were side dishes we purchased and not included in the AYCE option. I honestly don't know why this place isn't rated higher. The only thing I can think of is that they truly seem to focus on quality and not quantity. So each round that you order does not provide a massive amount of food, but just enough. And I personally would rather take a small amount of good quality meats over a large amount of mediocre food. My husband and I will most definitely be back, and while a lot of it is due to the food, majority of it is due to the service we received from Blake, and the other servers attending to us today. read more

Loving the experience! Our server has been helpful and patient with our large table. They will change grill plates between courses and at request. There's a "secret" menu that includes salad. White rice is included in the AYCE pricing. There is a deep full Korean menu in addition to the grill options but if anyone at the table orders AYCE all guests must pay for the all you can eat option. Finally someone came and asked if we were done?!! Portions were small and we were a family of 5. Of course we weren't done yet we just started. The best part was when my card got declined twice and one server had the audacity to embarrass me in front of other customers saying I have insufficient funds? Really?!! Wow I can't believe I have been treated this way! Just to let you know the kids went to Boba for drinks after eating here and my card worked just fine. You guys need to get you equipment update. I've been to the KTOWN in Portland, as it was the first one to pop-up here and I know some of the staff. That one was great, but I think the Beaverton location is much better. It feels like there is a lot more seating/tables which means the wait isn't as long. The prices have gone up in the last couple years but that's to be expected. The flavor hasn't gone away. The food is GREAT. I come here often because it's all you can eat (depending on your choice) and I think it definitely pays for itself. Also who doesn't love Yogurt Soju?? That alone is worth it. The staff are always very friendly. You might still have a bit of a wait depending on the time of day as it gets pretty busy. Place is bit expensive for the limited menu items and smokes from grill that don't get vented out properly. Smokes kept blowing my way instead of going to the vent. Imo vent is too far on ceiling from grill. Also the side dishes serving were so small,but gave us bowl full of lettuce aka salad that barely had dressing on it and 5 thin singular onions and 3 small pieces of purple cabbage that it looked like it mistake that it was there. I really wanted to like it. However the long list of "rules", general ambivalence of the staff, and being ignored by our waitperson made this an unenjoyable experience. Upon entering, there were multiple staff behind the counter, it was obvious our group wasn't sure what to do, and nobody working behind the counter even said hello. They simply acted as if we were invisible. We eventually figured out that we were supposed to sign ourselves in on the iPad, but a bit of direction and a friendly greeting would have gone a long ways toward making us feel as if our business were welcome instead of an inconvenience. Due to medical issues I can't eat large portions of food at one sitting and stupidly assumed, like other "all you can eat" restaurants that I would simply order a small plate or appetizer for myself, while the rest of the people in our group would be able to order all you can eat. Apparently not. Either EVERYONE gets all you can eat or NOBODY gets it. Which is completely ludicrous. So essentially I threw a wrench into my best friend's birthday dinner because I can't eat nearly $40 worth of food at one sitting. They don't even offer a sampler plate or combo plate it's either all one kind of meat, a la carte, or you order something precooked off the menu. Those are the only options if you come with a group and not everyone wants all you can eat. Our waitperson was virtually nonexistent all evening and we had to keep flagging random staff down for things as mundane as white rice and soy sauce. It was ridiculous. The chicken katsu was SO BLAND! And when we were seated, the side dishes were already sitting on the table, uncovered. How long had they been sitting out? Just to quickly touch on the ambience. It's a bit loud and extremely smoky. I don't know if the fans aren't strong enough or what but we were inhaling a lot of smoke. Presumably to circumvent the smoke issue, a door was propped open but it was so frigid outside that we ate in our coats to stay warm. Overall just a really disappointing experience and I don't plan to return any time soon. We have Korean aplenty in this area, and there are many far superior Korean restaurants that have friendlier staff and much better food. read more

It does the job and gave me my KBBQ fix that I deeply miss. On a Saturday night it wasn't busy and were seated right away. But I think we got there right before the dinner rush. Meats are good and has a wide variety. The only gripe I have is that you have to order in meats of 4 and they need to each be a different one. When I get KBBQ, I eventually just want to only get bugolgi or beef brisket towards the end. But with the rule they have it forces us to get meat we don't particularly care for. We came here on a Saturday afternoon between lunch and dinner, purposely hoping to not get caught in a busy time, and we planned it well. We got in immediately without a wait, which was pretty awesome. Everything seemed pretty clean, and the service was friendly. Now to the nitty gritty. Every AYCE place I've ever been to has their rules. In this case, there is a 2 hour time limit, and they only allow you to order 4 meat choices at a time, and only one of any meat of any time. The time limit is understandable, but feels a hair short if the service is slow, short staff, etc. I don't know how closely they were monitoring the time, it might have just been a fallback rule if a group was staying way too long, but more on that shortly. The 4 meats/1 meat per time rule. This is certainly more annoying, but fortunately, they have enough good meats that we liked that it didn't really factor in. They have a pretty good variety of meats, less than a few places I've been to, more than a few places I've been to. The Meats we loved: La Galbri, Garlic Beef, Bulgogi, Spicy Bulgogi, Chadol, and Cajun Chicken. We're both typically big fans of thinly sliced pork, and pork belly, but we tried most of them and just weren't as impressed as we were with the other meats we loved. I don't know if I could choose a favorite between the Garlic Beef and the Spicy Bulgogi, but now I'm hungry and planning my next trip. Why 4 stars instead of 5: I totally understand the reason for limiting to 4 items at a time....but....they don't bring out a ton of food in those 4 meats, and you go thru it quickly. If it gets busy/the server goes on break/there's a fire on a grill/etc, then you can go a while waiting, which happened to us towards the end our meal. It also makes it easier for them to throttle you a bit, which is probably what happened to us as well. That part was frustrating, we were told there was a flame up at a different table, which we could see there was, but it also seemed to become much more obvious that servers would avoid coming over to us, avoid eye contact, and even when we could get their attention (there were only two employees dealing with the flame up), the gaps in food delivery started to become longer. I'll definitely come back, and at $32/person, it was on the better end of prices, but also pretty commiserate with the options available. read more

New location that just opened up this week on the westside. The interior is very spacious and the place is clean. We came as a group of 5 and ready to check out the all you can eat option. We were able to get our first two orders in pretty quick. The amount of food that they brought out for 5 people is a bit on the lesser side. When we ordered our third round of food, it took over 15 minutes to get it and when it came, it was a lot smaller portion than the first 2 rounds. We were given like 1 piece of LA Galbi, 3 pieces of pork belly, a small amount of brisket and a bigger piece of chicken (I don't normally ordered chicken, but wanted to try it out and you have to order 4 items at a time and cannot double order). As we finished this round and were ready to order the next round, we were told that it was our last round. Again, we were provided with one piece of galbi and a few pieces of meat. I know this is a newer place and they are still learning the process. I hope that some of the things will change in the future. A few of us went down the street to get some more food at Dairy Queen afterwards... nothing a cheeseburger and blizzard can do to make things right. read more
