A great addition to the Rice village area; staff are very friendly and go out of their way to help with your order, answer questions, etc. Portions are reasonable and ingredients were fresher than I thought. I would rather do take-out/pick-up than dine-in because there's not much parking or many seats. Hope to see this place flourish!

Quick dinner stop! It was kinda a random pick, but good! The fish and protein was good pretty fresh and they had a really good selection of add-ons to pick from. I think for the price too it's pretty average of around the city. But the portion sizes here were really good! Like I had trouble finishing it all. The workers were also really nice and let you sample the protein options too.

Great place to grab poke in the area. I like that they actually give quite a bit and the items are fresh (like the salmon and tuna). They also have bulgogi rice bowl options which were also pretty good and have quite a bit of meat. I'd recommend if you're in the area and want poke!

Amazing poke spot for any poke-lover. Great value for price. The spicy tuna was one of the best I've had at a poke shops, super well-marinated (you know it's good when you can just eat it on its own without any of the sauces). Also, I paid $15.5 for a HUGE bowl that filled me up; I have to say this kind of price to quantity ratio is super hard to come by at poke shops these days. Also, the restaurant has Korean bowls with cooked food options as well and their beef is great (I got a sample!). Speaking of sample, the staff is super nice, offering me a piece of each protein to try since it's my first time there. They even checked on me during my meal and offered more sauces if needed! What's more, they gave me a free miso soup on the house! Overall, such a great experience and such a close proximity to my house. Will definitely come back many times in the future!

Went to k-town poke to fuel myself for a night of studying. They are a relatively new poke shop in rice village. I had a 20% discount from when they first opened and finally put it to use. I got the build your own poke bowl which includes 2 proteins and 2 sides. I got white rice with salmon and classic tuna, crabmeat, and spicy crabmeat. I got every vegetable except jalapeños and red cabbage. I topped it with eel sauce, spicy mayo, wasabi aioli, and k-town shoyu. For toppings I got everything except mango, wasabi, and ginger. They fill the bowls to the brim here. I also got free miso soup for following them on IG. The salmon here is really good quality, I can clearly tell the difference between this and other locations. Classic tuna is solid as well. I was intrigued by their spicy salmon because it was actually in chunks instead of grounded up. They have improved since the last time in adding more sauce. I had a much better experience this time

I thought this place was ok. The service was terribly slow and just two ppl wasn't enough. I did like the fact they gave samples which was nice.

    Grand opening vibes, very good!

Fresh fast fabulous friendly. Get your butt over here! You'll be glad you did. So glad I don't have to go to Oak Brook to find good food like this!

Korean Bulgogi Beef, Korean Spicy Pork & Poke Bowl

Super yummy spot for lunch and or dinner. The space is perfect if you ever decide to work out of your office or library. You can either get a Korean bowl or Poke bowl, both of which a heavily packed and delicious. The portion is as big as it is in the picture. Whether you are feeling meat or fish, there's always an option for you!

The food, service, and ambiance were all a 12/10!! The owner was so friendly and let us try all the meats and sauces before picking what we wanted. The food was super fresh and the portions were great!!! SO GOOD.

I was impressed by the portion size, because each half could've been placed in a separate bowl, add more broth (shaved ice and a slice of Korean pear optional), and that's two portions in most places. Historically, these noodle dishes were a rare treat and a delicacy, as these noodles were very labor intensive and hard to make (although I'm sure they're mass produced now), and had to be served cold in the summer heat. Banchan was tasty too, including the kimchi which was early in the fermentation stage. The kimchi pancake was huge, definitely had to take this one to go, and came with an optional Korean-style spicy soy dipping sauce. I ordered the combo and went with the Bulgogi, which was tender and tasty, but didn't come sizzling so the pan it came in was more for display. Still, great good, fantastic value, and definitely the real deal. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive neighborhoods of Houston (and a bit out of the way for me), but sometimes you just want some really tasty and unpretentious Korean comfort food.

They make their tofu in-house, and you can really taste the difference. The soup is rich, comforting, and flavorful without tasting overloaded with MSG. It's the kind of meal that just warms your soul. We also ordered the cheese tonkatsu, and my husband got the seolleongtang. We normally aren't fans of cheese tonkatsu--in fact, we didn't even realize it had cheese in it when we ordered it--but wow... it was actually so good. Definitely a pleasant surprise. My husband's seolleongtang was amazing too. The banchan was fresh and well-prepared, and every dish we had was delicious. The service was absolutely perfect. The ladies working there were incredibly kind and even brought my husband extra noodles for his soup without us asking. That small gesture really made our experience even more memorable. Thank you so much! There's a decent amount of parking, but dinner time gets pretty busy, so I'd recommend arriving early since it's not a very large restaurant. 10/10. This is definitely one of our favorite Korean restaurants in Houston, and we'll absolutely be back.

This is probably one of our favorite Korean BBQ spots in Houston…read more It's all-you-can-eat and even includes sushi and sashimi. Personally, I haven't tried those because Korean BBQ and sushi together just feels a little odd to me. I grew up in LA where we usually went to separate places for each, but I'm sure plenty of people enjoy having both options. The meat quality is really good, and everything is well-seasoned and flavorful. My only complaint is the soups--they don't really taste like the traditional Korean soups they're supposed to be. They could definitely use some improvement. That said, other side dishes like the tteokbokki are actually really good. For the price, it's an excellent value. The service is usually good, although it can be a little inconsistent depending on your server. One thing I really like is that they include dessert, such as Korean ice cream bars, regular ice cream, and other sweet treats. We've been here several times already and definitely plan on coming back. That said, the consistency of both service and food quality between visits can be noticeable. Service can be very slow at times, even when the restaurant isn't particularly busy. We've had issues with banchan not being brought out, grills not being turned on, and fish orders taking nearly an hour to arrive. Food quality can also be hit or miss. For example, the Cheese Crab Puffs have occasionally arrived completely cold with barely any crispiness or color, and we've had similar issues with other appetizers. My favorites are the Garlic Salmon Sashimi, Black Angus Marinated Short Rib, Wagyu Beef Belly, Black Angus Rib Finger, and Thick Cut Pork Belly. I also enjoy the Takoyaki, Crispy Tuna Rice, and Tteokbokki. There are a few dishes I would skip, including the Spicy Scallop Sashimi and Nigiri unless you enjoy very small scallops, the Baked Green Mussels, which are overly sweet, and the Prime Beef Brisket, which I've found to be tough and dry. Overall, there are plenty of dishes I genuinely enjoy here, but the inconsistency keeps this from being a place I can wholeheartedly recommend. When everything is executed well, it's a great meal, but you never quite know what kind of experience you're going to get. That being said, I tend to get good ones the majority of the time.

To be honest, I think the menu tablets are a bit overkill since they have a small enough menu to look though, but it is good for people who aren't familiar with Korean food or the establishment itself. What's nice is you can get many of the dishes with noodles or rice as your starch of choice. 10/10 Jjamppong - the broth is flavorful, seafood rich, and noodles perfectly bouncy. SOO good. I couldn't finish the whole bowl, so it's easily shareable. 7/10 Chicken Fried Rice. It's expensive for the amount of rice you get. Flavor is good, but there's not a lot of chicken. Would suggest an appetizer as well if you want to stay full. This location does not have unlimited pickled radishes like the Spring Branch location.
