NOT SAFE!!! Parents beware--these carts are very unsafe, can go airborne, and it is only a matter of time before someone is catastrophically injured or worse. At my son's 14th birthday party, he and six buddies did the teen party on the adult track. During the third race, my son swerved sideways, his buddy's cart behind him stayed straight and then T-boned my son. The buddy went airborne, driving OVER my son's shoulder and grazing his helmet, and clearing the other side of the cart. We are so thankful that the cart did not squarely hit his head at these speeds. When asked how often these carts get airborne, the manager told me "quite often." In response to my concern about safety, the manager retorted that we signed a waiver and thus we knew that DEATH or catastrophic injury was a risk we were assuming by letting our kids on the track at K1. In response to letting the manager know that child waivers are not enforceable in Illinois, they referred me to a more senior manager in California. They have yet to confirm that they did an investigation, that they have referred this case for review, or doing anything to prevent this from happening in the future. For instance, there are no cages or roll bars covering any part of the person in these carts. It is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured or worse at K1. And K1 knows of this risk, yet simply does not care as they are banking on (unenforceable) liability waivers. And on top of all of this, the service at this location was horrible. We will not return and strongly discourage any parents of teens from bringing your kids here.

This is my favorite location! Visiting from Houston, Tx for the 3rd time. This place is very spacious and lots to do while you wait for your race. The track is also very easy and fun to maneuver. The equipment is well maintained and cleaned, and the staff is friendly and professional.

This place was so fun! When you enter you have to fill out a waiver. There's a bar with food. They don't let you drink before driving the carts...so do this after. They provide the helmets for you to wear. We had two races. The first race there was a bunch of people with us. It took me a few laps to feel comfortable. Once I did though it was sooooo fun! Way smoother than the out door go carting of the past. Our second race was just myself and my friend. I much preferred racing with less people because you didn't get stuck behind someone or worry about people trying to pass you. You can see you're score on a big screen. They also give you a print out of you're score. They have pool tables, air hockey, and bags for additional fun.

Electric go karting is quieter, cleaner and more fun than the gas powered ones I grew up with. The first thing they have you do is sign up at one of the computer terminals. If it's your first time here, you'll need an annual membership ($8) that provides free use of helmet, head sock, and online scoring. You can bring your own helmet to wear, but make sure it has a visor. They do not allow GoPros. The people working here were nice and friendly. The track is bright and clean. It takes about 4 minutes to go around 14 laps/race. I've been here several times with about 6-9 karts on the track at time. The electric go karts are fast and can cause bruising if you're not strapped in tight. Make sure you buckle down real tight with the seat belt so you don't get banged around inside the kart too much. The staff has control over all of them and can limit the speed to go slow with a push of a button. At the end of each race, they will print out the results and put them on the counter by the front desk. There are restrooms and water fountain available. PRICES 1 Race - $19.99 2 Races - $35 3 Races- $48 (special price $39 Mon-Thu) Occasionally, you can find them on Groupon. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . I had a blast of a time. I wanted to do some fun and out of the box things for the month of my birthday. I was definitely not disappoint with the experience that I had coming here to this location. It's a bit pricey. I should of follow my right mind and purchase the deal when I saw it on Groupon. Bummer Right. The staff were super cool. They knew it was my first time here and they were super attentive and made sure that I would and was very comfortable. Great Place & Lots Of Fun. I would like to come back and do it again and again. There is also a bar where you can purchase drinks and food. There is another area where you can shoot pool and play other games.

Fun and fast cars. Be aware if you are taller or have wider hips the drive may be slightly uncomfortable.

How long does a single race take? I'm trying to time out a day correctly.

Hello Victoria! Races can vary in time, but typically each race lasts anywhere between 6 to 10 minutes. Just depends on how fast the quickest driver completes 12 laps. See you at the track!

For their 3-race package, approximately how long does it take? Trying to plan out my day and how long I should expect to be there.

Plan on 3 races taking you a couple hours, customer service is horrible and you have to wait 45 min to 1 hr for the first race and they won't book your races back to back. So plan on waiting 10-20 min between each race.

Do I have to make a reservation if it's just two people, or are walk-ins also available?

They only take reservations for groups of 8 or more. Yes, you can walk in, it is first come first served usually have to wait for 75-120minutes before your first race then a ten minute break before your next race.

ONCE UPON A TIME.......IN LOMBARD…read more This beloved indoor entertainment center is still hanging in there after 40+ years. I'll admit, I didn't have "attend a work outing at Enchanted Castle" on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. I found myself reminiscing about birthdays from the past, how many tokens I spent here as a preteen, and what on earth I was doing at a kids entertainment center with a group of engineers. As they've been since 1983, Enchanted Castle on Roosevelt Rd in Lombard is a one-stop shop for fun.  They have party rooms, a large arcade with ticket counter and 7-8 different attractions.  It's like a bigger version of Chuck E Cheese with a medieval theme, a Dave & Busters aimed at kiddos. You can pay for things a la carte, or get a $40 "max pack" that gets you a $15 game card and access to any 3 attractions.  Our large group hit up the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, and go karts.  One staffer helped us out during our time here, and kudos to her for being patient when we couldn't make up our minds on what to do next. I'll start with the best: the go karts ($9/pp).  Although the track itself is small and not terribly exciting, these go karts were peppy and handled well.  You get a decent number of laps, too, and it must be popular enough to warrant having its own dedicated entrance off to the right - Castle Karts. Next came laser tag ($9/pp).  The packs seemed heavy, but the guns were very accurate IMO.  It was a 'capture the flag' objective and despite a small arena, there was just enough space to move around.  They also have Route 66 mini bowling ($5/pp), bumper cars ($5/pp), a scaled down 'Scrambler' type ride ($5/pp), and a playground area with slides ($5/kid). The glow in the dark Black Knight's "Adventure" Golf ($7/pp) was the weak link of the bunch.  9 holes of poorly lit, uninspired putt putt with odd scenery choices - they couldn't decide between skeletons or squires - and lazy hole design led to several in our group bailing partway through.  One girl even twisted her ankle walking around an obstacle!  This is an area that could definitely benefit from a facelift or new attraction. Back in the 90's and early 2000's, Enchanted Castle had a 3D motion theater that played several iWerks films like Dino Island, Alpha One Cowboy, and Red Rock Run.  This wild motion simulator was always the highlight of my visit, but I can't find ANY record of it in web archives..... was this a fever dream?? Their arcade has a mix of new and old, lots of ticket redemption games with flashy shoot-em-ups sprinkled in.  They had Beat Saber VR (for a whopping 24 credits) as well as some vintage games like the one where you use an air cannon to shoot out the clown's teeth.  Many years ago, they had a dedicated area for pinball machines....now they have none.  *sigh* I expected very little from the food and was pleasantly surprised.  The italian beef ($12) was pretty good, no complaints about the fries.  The large appetizer platter ($40) had a little bit of everything: 7 mozza stix, 7 wings, 7 tenders, 12 mini tacos, and 8 pretzel sticks with dipping sauces.  They also had beer on tap @ $6.50 per pint, not too bad. * TL;DR * Enchanted Castle is supposed to be for young'ins, but if you have fun here as a grown-up I won't tell anyone. Being in business for 43 years is no small feat, especially when you consider the sweeping effect COVID had on the realm of indoor entertainment.  I'm amazed (and relieved) that Enchanted Castle's drawbridge has stayed open despite so much volatility in the world.  I don't imagine that the handful of folks we saw on a Thursday afternoon is representative of how much foot traffic EC actually gets. Here's to hoping they have many more years ahead of them, making joyful memories for scores of kids in the western Chicago suburbs.  I'd hate to see an indelible part of my childhood be gone for good. "The handsome prince raced his mighty steed around the go kart track, while the beautiful princess enjoyed several games of Skee-Ball.  And they played happily ever after!"

We bought two adult day passes, one for me and one for our daughter. At first I thought the cost was too high since it has been at least 20 years since I had been to the park, but after spending the day there - I now think it was worth every penny. The park has been cleaned, new paint, new rides and it was active with visitors which was nice to see. Plus, they have the dry park which is great. They had a very nice patting zoo with all sorts of animals including a parakeet feeding room where you can feed the parakeets as they land on a peanut butter and bird seed feeding stick. They also have a really nice water park that we didn't even get to use since the dry park had so much to do. The food and drunk items were a bit pricey like at all amusement parks, but they do let you bring in two water bottles per person and a snack so that's fair. They also let you get your hand stamped to leave the park and have a lunch at your car from a cooler or you can go to a fast food place if you want to. Parking is free, which is a huge plus. I was also VERY impressed with the friendliness of the staff beginning with the lady who sold us the tickets - very nice and patient. Many of the rides are run by students, but they were all very responsible, friendly and followed through before each ride started to make sure all the riders were secure. The young man at the antique car ride managed the entire ride by himself and still took time to ask everyone in each car "Did you have fun?" at the end of every ride. I was very impressed with his maturity and responsible actions and he looked to be about 18. Overall, we had a great time and although it carried a cost of about $50 per person, it was well worth it and we didn't even get to use the water park. Plus, I kept thinking that we live 15 minutes away so we didn't have to spend much time and gas money driving to a place like Wisconsin Dells for such a nice attraction. I highly recommend visiting even if only once a summer to get some nice picture/video memories.

I asked a staff member a simple question regarding a height restriction. The staff member refused to answer, as did the manager. Rather than clarifying policy or de-escalating, law enforcement was called without justification. This decision was inappropriate and caused unnecessary fear for my children, who have never interacted with police. When I requested to speak with an adult supervisor, I was informed that no adult leadership was present on site. All staff appeared to be minors or under 21, raising concerns about proper supervision and authority. I later contacted the General Manager, who was dismissive and stated the staff felt "afraid." There was no reasonable basis for fear; I was calmly requesting clarification of a posted policy. As a Black customer, the escalation of a routine inquiry to police involvement raises serious concerns about bias and unequal treatment. Due to the lack of trained leadership, failure to follow basic de-escalation practices, and inappropriate use of law enforcement in a children's environment, I do not recommend this establishment.
