The facility and karts are great IF you can actually get on. On three occasions I have driven across town and only once was given the opportunity to race. On our first trip we had bought three races. We were able to race twice before we were told it would be 1.5 to 2 hours before we could race again. Recognizing the place gets busy I called ahead to ensure there were spaces available before we went the second time. I was told I couldn't make a reservation, but no problem getting the kids on if we arrived by 2:00. We arrived on time and were told we could race in 2.5 hours! Needless to say, we left. It was essentially the same story on our third trip although they did say we could get on in :45 minutes for one race only. The workers are friendly enough but they are just terribly inefficient at managing the business. It's extremely frustrating to waste hours and even more disappointing to see the let down on the kids faces. The fix is pretty simple - allow reservations. read more

This was my first visit to K1 in Denver (Littleton). I met the manager, Nichole, and she easily and quickly converted my free races on the K1 App to real races for my colleague. I've only had one other K1 location (Dublin) able to handle that transaction, so major kudos to Nichole. Secondly, Nichole showed excellent customer oriented, professional service with a bright and cheerful attitude. Again, MAJOR kudos to Nichole, and also to the other helpful counter staff. I then raced with my friend, and was shown the line and suggested footwork by Seth, the track master. He went out of his way to pay attention to my races and suggest improvements to my line and racecraft, EXTREMELY appreciated. Btw, I'm #2 in K1RS for the year so far, and have visited several locations. If you are an avid kart racer, I highly recommend visiting K1Denver. Great management, staff, track personnel and the karts were in fine shape! Oh, and the track itself is challenging, fast and fun! read more

So not happy with this place. We got here a little before 7 and paid for 3 races. First race was 710. I thought great we can be home by 10. Plenty of time to hit up a drive thru and call it a fun night. Holy crap was I wrong. It's now 856pm and they are just gearing up for their SECOND race. No real rhyme or reason. Yeah there was a party when we got here but they left over an hour ago. Not super busy either. What has been taking so long you ask? I would like to know too and no straight answer to be had other than "you are in line". What kind of bs answer is that? Why almost 2 hours and at LEAST 10 races but nope. Two 11 year olds sat here and watched race after race after race. And they were in the adult cars, not waiting on junior races. At least at Unser they are pretty quick to get people through the races. It's a little pricier but IMHO the extra money is certainly worth not sitting around not doing anything at all. I'm never coming back. The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not one is the person at the front desk was really nice. read more

My staff and I have spent a decent amount of time racing at K1 Speed and the Unser Karting & Events Center. We're not throwing the Unser facility under the bus, but we think K1 Speed offers a better experience. K1 Speed's track surface is much wider and smoother, the lighting over their track is much brighter, and their carts are faster and more comfortable. We also feel K1 Speed's staff provides better pre-race instructions and they are better at ensuring the participants race in a safe manner. read more

Came here during the week and it was awesome! There was hardly anyone there, so it was my kid vs myself the majority of races. The staff are not so interactive with kids. My kid tried to make a couple of jokes and the guy ignored him. We had a groupon which was a pretty good deal. It's definitely overpriced for the amount of time you're racing and the size of the track. Not a place I think I can afford to bring the whole family to. Overall the experience was fun. We will come back, but not often. It'll be a splurge activity once in a blue moon type of deal. read more

This K1 is located in a very dangerous location off of SantaFe. The light does not work properly and the dip entering the parking lot could seriously take off the front end of a car. Lastly, the staff is extremely rude and really don't know how to have fun. I will not be back and I recommend other people not to waste their money and this K1! read more

Took my 7yr old son here for some quality time. I wanted it to be a surprise and when we walked in his eyes lit up. After getting registered, we prepared for his race and I could tell something was wrong. He was in tears because he was super nervous and couldn't remember what every race flag was for. Without hesitation, a worker named Josh, came over to my son and gave him the perfect pep talk. After my son calmed down they got him fitted in a helmet and into a Jr car. After his race was over Josh brought my son over to see his results and gave him a t-shirt to remember his experience. The entire drive home my son talked about how awesome it was and how he can't wait to go again. Thanks to Josh for his awesome service. I can promise you I will be back with my son again. I had so much fun tonight track is great the staff was super friendly and helpful. However managment could use some work. I went to ask a few questions about setting up a corperate event and about the company and the manager was a complete jerk he couldnt or wouldnt answer any of my questions and blew me off like i was some idiot. I'd either hire someone who knows a thing or two or send him back to training and teach him some manners. Either way my company will not be doing an event there. read more

Had a great time getting our need for speed! It was our sons 17th birthday and we thought we'd give him the chance to show us what's he got. Little turkey beat us!! So now he has bragging rights until we go back. And Yes, we'll be back! Staff was great upon check in, and going over how to drive the karts. The only negative thing I can think of is the main podium where you get your kart number is cluttered up with cups and snack that the staff are nibbling on. It would look more professional to have those beverages not seen. But I totally understand when hungry teenagers need to eat, you'd better feed them. read more

Today a member in our party got their Spy dirt-bike goggles stolen right off the table and the staff was incredibly rude. One lady said they didn't have cameras, then 30 minutes later another staff member said they could check the cameras. Then they sassily pointed us to a shady printed piece of paper posted behind a pole that said they weren't responsible for lost items and told us to kick rocks; claimed they were going to call the cops if we didn't leave immediately. I've been karting for 15 years all across the country and have never encountered such an unprofessional staff... one of the staff tried to fight a member in our party... after the actions of the staff we truly believe one of the staff stole the $200 goggles. Do yourself a favor and go to Unser, they're better karts and have a better staff. read more

We've been before and had a great experience, this wasn't the case President's Day 2017. Due to increased traffic, the employees seemed to be gathered solely around the pit area, NO safety conversation was had with any drivers before ANY races. Went with my 12 year old step-daughter - in our second race a middle aged excuse for a man was attempting to prove his manhood by attempting to pit maneuver my step-daughter. As pathetic and disgusting as this is, NO ONE from the crew either saw, or did anything about the 6 hard hits my step-daughter took. Other racers (ironically this person's sons) were counseled for 'bumping' other cars, but not this racer. a 250lb man in a cart hitting an 80lb girl in a cart is definitely dangerous. I would advise against going to K1 Speed unless you go during the work week, in the winter, not on a holiday, between the hours of 1400 and 1500 to minimize the amount of patrons so that the staff will be able to insure the safety of your group on the track. read more

Be very cautious booking any group activity with this company. They have a 72 hr cancellation notice. I had to cancel a teambuilding activity @ approximately 60 hrs prior to event due to many of my employees having to travel out of state unexpectantly to handle a company crisis. K1 was willing to waive the fee if I rescheduled in the future or I would have to pay a 10% cancellation fee. I could have 'gamed' the system and rescheduled in the future and then cancelled within 72 hrs of that future event to avoid any fees. Instead I chose to be upfront with them and tell them that my team's schedule was very tight the rest of the year and I could not reschedule at this time. They charged me the 10% fee and told me it was because they lost business. Their stories are inconsistent and I would be very cautious doing any business with this company in the future. read more

Great place, very clean and has lots of space to hang out as well as race. The karts go fast and was a lot of fun. I was talking with a staff member and the reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because he agreed if they had a little more space, like if they bought out the warehouse next to the location and created a much larger track with more variability it would be awesome! As soon as they expand to a larger track I would 100% give this a 6/5 stars. For now it is still a great place for parties and having fun. I will be back and recommend it to others. read more

We were very impressed with this facility, and we'll be back. It's clean, organized, and has a fun racing vibe. The manager was helpful and friendly when we had a problem. We went on a weekday and got the 3 races for $39 deal. We did have to wait a little while (15-20 minutes) for our race to start, but they have snacks and video games, and a comfortable lounge area. Just FYI: You have to purchase a "license" for $6 in addition to the price for the races, so that's something to keep in mind if you have a big group. read more

Last night I ran my first race of the season at K1 speed in the challenge GP. I can race fast as anyone ,but when 13 year olds are in an adult race and do not know how to race properly it is frustrating to a racer that is a good racer. First of all, in the last 3 times I have been at K1 speed I have been t-boned and sent into the wall that is unsafe. All I can say is the no bumping or blocking rule is a lie! I believe they should start a age group challenge GP for younger people and older people and have two Challenge GP in the adult karts. It is not right that older racers have to race GP's with inexperienced racers. read more

This might be a great concept but quite possibly the worst customer service experience ever. First off, we bought a package deal for eight kids to race. We called the facility and they told us the only requirements was a minimum of 48 inches tall. After we arrived, we find out that they have to measure the length of their legs. This automatically disqualified four of the eight kids in the birthday party. not only did they withhold this information from us, they refuse to give us a discount. The next great experience we had was the wait. They told us an average of 10 to 15 minute wait. We waited for over an hour and watch multiple groups go multiple times in front of us before we were told we had an additional 30 minutes to wait for four kids to ride! We expressed our concerns to management but nothing was done and they could've cared less. We will never come back to this facility or be a part of this again. read more

We arrived with a 2-for-1 email special that was apparently expired... the email didn't specify an expiration date. Jack the manager not only honored the deal, but gave us a 'friends and family' offer to take care of us. It was above and beyond my expectations, from a customer service perspective. And the racing... I have jumped out of airplanes from 15,000 feet many times, and this experience will give you a similar high. These little cars go fast, and you need to focus to win. Would like to thank the staff at K1 Speed for making our experience an excellent one. The staff was exceptional at explaining the rules in a fun and understandable manner to the children and made it fun and exciting. Before our first race, there was a bit of a conflict between our family and another family that was waiting for a race due to some special requests from the other family. The staff handled the conflict in a calm and professional manner allowing everyone to continue with the race and forget about a possible disaster. The manager Josh has a great group of employees that can clearly handle anything. We will certainly be returning for more fun adventures on Go Karts! read more

Besides the track being pretty small, the two measly stars mainly come from the staff and their lack of knowing what customer service actually means. We were told of a wait that would be 45-60 minutes. We patiently waited for our names to be called, and waited, and waited. Finally after an hour and a half, I asked what the holdup was. She said we were to wait for our names to be called. I explained that we had waited double the amount of time she had stated from the beginning. Se proceeded to lie to me and say I was wrong and she never had said that. I don't mind if there is a genuine problem that is unresolvable. However, to lie!! To tell me that I had misunderstood her previous statement!! Own up!! Grow up!! Not impressed. read more

I cannot say enough good things about K1 speed. Their karts are fast and well maintained, their track is easy to learn yet challenging to master, the staff is polite, and the prices are fair. You can see your time in comparison to other drivers displayed on a large screen as you go through the first corner into the second one, as well as online immediately after the race.
