Emma had a FANTASTIC TIME , will definitely be back for another ride. She came in second and was proud of her achievement, Grandpa was proud of her too.

Had a decent enough time. Came as a group to a company holiday party. You register and sign a waiver, get your head mask thing for the helmet and wait your turn to go. There's food and drink for purchase, a game room and such. The lobby was neat and clean. Most of the staff were nice and knowledgeable (until the end when payment couldn't be figured out apparently.) listening to the rules was a little tough, it was hard to hear anything being said. It was my first time ever driving a go kart, and a higher speed one at that. It was fun. Getting bumped and spinning out was even fun haha. Even though I came in last, it was still a good time. The price is a little crazy. It was $55 a person for two races (for an hour and a half worth of time). They don't tell ya the first race is only a "qualifier" so once we did that, we all expected to be racing two actual races. Nope. They do "medals" at the end where the top 3 got on the winners podiums and got little medals. It was fun for a team event but pricey for what it was.

My karting experience was fantastic! The track was well-designed, the karts were in top condition, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's a thrilling and well-managed venue for anyone seeking an exciting karting adventure.

K-1 is a place you go to if you are already in the area. Not a place you drive miles to get to with the assumption you can ride if it's during posted business hours. If you call in advanced, you reach a remote representative who makes a generalized guess. Otherwise this place is a top notch facility.

How old do you have to be to drive?

Hello, Jean! Our restrictions are by height rather than age. Kids will need to be at least 4' (48") tall and safely reach the pedals in order to drive. This is typically around 5-6 years old, though sometimes closer to 7 - just depends! See you at…

Tiny Town. A town that is tiny!…read more I'm so glad I read the reviews first so I knew what to expect. My daughter and I arrived around 11am and we decided to have a little picnic in the back of the car, which seemed easier than trying to carry stuff through TT until we reached the picnic tables. The scenery is so pretty here, which made our little trunk picnic even more special! My daughter is 5 and was probably JUST young enough to enjoy it. We rode the train first--a short but cute ride--and then made our way through the town. She loved checking out all of the buildings, as well as seeing how they were decorated inside. So many dolls and scenes! The playground is sparse and outdated, but of course we had to spend a little time there. Our only negative experience was with the woman working the register in the gift shop. We were buying something, and my daughter picked up a little trinket that you're supposed to turn over + watch the bubbles move. Instead of just asking her to put it down (again: it's for playing with! And it was right in front of her face!) she ripped it out of her hands. While this doesn't classify as touching someone else's kid, it was close enough for me. Overall, a 4-star experience! I'm glad we took the time to go.

My daughter is three years old, and that is the demographic this place is best geared for. She was amazed by the tiny houses, and the train ride was a blast. I'm glad I was able to show her a spot from my childhood.

Looking for a time capsule then loon no further as you have found it right here at Lakeside!…read more This park really is awesome as you can tell it's been kinda just left to the elements of time as everything here just felt like the 1960's which was totally cool with me because its unique to any other park I've been to in the country and that alone created this incredible vibe! It seems like they are only open at night which is awesome because I love going to the park at night as it creates a whole new atmosphere that the day can't match from the sights and sounds you can't really go wrong with a night at the park! Lots of this park is very run down like it really needs some help which made me kinda sad but happy to see it's still in operation if I had the money I'd totally fix it up and keep it nostalgic to its roots like get the roller coaster going and what not! Wild Chipmunk alone was worth the trip here as you don't see many coasters like that being operational anywhere a true gem in the coaster world! Their train ride was awesome too takes you to the edge of the property around the lake making for a long fun ride that we totally loved! They offer all day wristbands or tickets since we only rode a few things we went with the tickets making for a bit of a saver for us money wise so just plan accordingly if you choose this path! Overall this park is awesome I'd love to see it get the love and respect it deserves as I can tell this is a very valuable asset to this community and I hope to come back here again at some point because this truly is up there with my favorite parks I've ever been to straight up a vibe here the whole time!

Denver Zoo

Denver Zoo

I never thought I was a zoo person, but this completely changed my mind…read more I visited during the zoo's extended summer hours (Fridays and Saturdays until 9 p.m.--despite what Google Maps says!), and it was one of the best decisions I could have made. We practically had the zoo to ourselves! Google still lists the zoo as closing at 4 p.m. every day, and I don't think the zoo advertises these evening hours nearly enough. Going later in the day made the experience so much better. First, it was much cooler and more comfortable. Second, the animals were incredibly active because the heat had died down. And third, many of them were being fed their dinner near the viewing areas, so we got to watch them up close in a way you normally wouldn't. The staff and volunteers were another highlight. Everyone we talked to was friendly, enthusiastic, and genuinely excited to answer questions and share stories about the animals. You can tell they're passionate about both the animals and the zoo's conservation efforts. I also learned how important it is to support AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) accredited zoos. I came away really impressed by everything the Denver Zoo does for conservation, research, and animal care. If anything, I think they should do a better job of bragging about all the incredible work they're doing--it deserves more attention! One of my favorite moments was watching the tiger stroll across the overhead bridge directly above us. The elephants have a similar crossing, although they weren't using it while we were there. The habitats throughout the zoo were beautifully designed and created such an immersive, interactive experience. I can't recommend visiting during the extended summer hours enough. It felt like having a private zoo experience, and I'll absolutely be back!
