I made my appt 3 weeks I n advance for 2 of my dogs. One needed a trim, and one just needed basic grooming without a haircut. When I drop them off that morning the lady (owner) said "2 shaves, right?" I said no, and explained that I gave her personally all the info when I made the appt 3 weeks prior. She used the excuse that it had been weeks, so she didn't remember. (Why wouldn't she have written that very important information down? ) She then told me she couldn't tend to my dogs that day anymore unless they just got shaved. She gave one of my dogs a quick look with a lot of disgust. Judging me for not bringing him in sooner, and telling me his fur couldn't be salvaged, and would have to all be shaved off. She also said that a vet needed to be the one to groom him because his fur was so "severe". I told her I was in between vets at the moment and didn't feel the need to go that route anyway. She asked me who my vet that I no longer trusted was and when I told her the name, she began to say how respectable that dr is. I again told her I didn't like that dr anymore and my bf explained that the vet recommended I end my dog's life for a condition he no longer even has. She then decided it was her place to say (while touching my dog) that if that's what the vet recommended, that I should do it. NO ONE asked For her opinion or recommendation on the matter. Both my bf and I stood there in utter shock at what she was saying. This is the owner! Her daughter had always been very kind and patient with my baby. She however, I did not trust with my child especially since she felt he should be DEAD. I brought both my kids home, refusing to leave them with her. I came home and cleaned up my dog myself. His fur was fine, and his ears brushed right out even though she said she would have to shave them because "they were so bad". She simply seemed to not want my business and tried to scold me numerous times.

The vet told him yes he could give dogs ivermectin but did not let him know the dosage or the fact that there could be serious complications. Well $3400 later and ER trip in the middle of the night our dogs has sudden blindness and tremors. Serious complications indeed. I'm very dissatisfied in this veterinarian as they should have been more forthcoming with the accurate information regarding this medication. I'm also upset at myself that I didn't further investigate, but most people take the word of a professional. I will be moving our animals elsewhere and am considering taking legal action.

When our old vet retired, we had to find a new one. 1 of the Dr's from our old clinic had recently moved over to the HSB Vet Clinic. We thought we were making a smart move my switching everyone over there since we were already familiar with her. That turned out to be the BIGGEST mistake! When I discovered something abnormal on my corgi's scrotum area, I took him in. She did not do any testing whatsoever, looked at it, had another Dr look at it, came back & told me that they believe it to be a form of cancer. She continued to tell me that due to his age & medical history, she didn't feel as though he would be a candidate for a biopsy because he probably wouldn't be able to pass the anesthesia & they didn't think they would be able to stop the bleeding. In short, she was basically telling me he should be put to sleep. Something in my gut didn't feel right. I decided to get a 2nd opinion. Made the appt with Dr. DeFiley, took ALL of his records. She was more optimistic. In all of his prior blood tests, his platelets were all in a normal range. So there shouldn't be an issue with clotting. She did the surgery & sent what was removed for testing. Turns out it was NOT cancer! This was such a relief! To think that the other vet made no effort at all to help my Flapjack & suggested he be put to sleep infuriates me! Needless to say, we are extremely happy with Dr. DeFiley & will doing all of our business with her at Bluebonnet! She's truly cares about the wellbeing of your fur babies.

Our dogs are rescues from Austin Boxer Rescue and we have had a total of 3 adoptions and we have also fostered 3 boxers from them. We want the best for them and it is SO nice to see them get excited when they see Michelle. They have known our dogs for years AND are excited to see them too! Prior to this most recent visit to Bliss for boarding, Jaxi had a hurt paw and needed antibiotics while she stayed. Michelle didn't even bat an eye when I mentioned she would have to give her medicine. D.Bo often likes to find a corner to relax during the day and they always make sure he has a soft little bed to lay on instead of the cold floor. Long story short, they go above and beyond to take care of my two babies! D.Bo and Jaxi always come home looking happy and well-cared for. We're always sent pictures of them from their visit - it makes me feel so good to know that when we can't be with them, they are getting the love and attention they deserve. It's definitely great to have that peace of mind! And, even though we live in Round Rock, we are happy to drive out to Liberty Hill because we KNOW our dogs are safe and well cared for with lots of love. Our dogs have never been boarded so I was worried about their behavior or being around the unknown humans. Megan, the owner, made them feel right at home. This isn't your typical boarding facility where dogs are in a kennel all day with a couple of play times. They can play or sleep all day with other dogs until bed time. She did not disclose any of this to us. Other people have told me she did the same thing to them, and she did not disclose any of this. Our two pets showed very high anxiety when we arrived home and they neighbors told us they had seen different vehicles and different people in our driveway coming in and out of our home all week. What a shock! Please save yourself the trouble of hiring pet sitters that do not work alone. Make any pet sitters promise they will not send anyone else in, and certainly not total strangers you don't even know into your home. How deceitful! Our dogs showed very high anxiety when we reached home, and one of them was sick for several days. Susan's TLC was not honest with us at all, however, we have found there are many wonderful pet sitters here in Sun City and Georgetown, TX who do the work alone. We have found several that really do care about animals. Please call the veterinarian offices to find one? And then have that special person get to know your pets personally before you leave. Your pets will feel far more secure and will not be afraid of who is going to enter your home when the sitter come to feed and play with them. Make sure your pet sitter promises you they will not let any other people into your home, including relatives, and that that they will do the job by themselves (not hiring a stranger) to take care of your pets while you are away. Then pay and tip well so they feel appreciated. This is my best advice for getting a "great" pet service. Thanks!

The doctors knew how much Zeppelin meant to me as they were aware I would have broke into my 401k to keep him around. He was my Pup I had in my early 20s through Manhood. He was Him. When it came time to consider the end, the doctors were with me, sat in the floor while I considered my choices. once I knew there was only one choice, they worked with me and his moms work schedule. At the time I worked from home but she was in south Austin for work as a nurse. They stayed open late on a Monday while we spent our last moments with Zeppelin. I know how much I want to leave work on time but I never felt rushed by them. I still get teary eyed as I still go once a week to get my other senior pup his meds, it breaks my heart to go there as a reminder of Zeppelin, but it is also testament to how much we appreciate them that I keep coming back.
