We stopped in for lunch for my nieces birthday and while the service started off fine, it went downhill fast. Toward the end of our meal, our server was nowhere to be found. We had to flag someone down just to get our check and ask for to-go boxes. Then we noticed a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which felt a bit scammy considering the service was barely there by the end. The food was average overall nothing particularly memorable, except for the spicy edamame, which was actually excellent. Ka Thai! This has been the best meal I've had all week. It was Christmas Eve so i did call before hand to be sure they were open, they were very pleasant over the phone. I headed over and the scenery was so refreshing and cute! They have 2 entrances, front entrance and an entrance through the parking garage in the back. The parking garage (paid parking) entrance will lead you directly to the take out window, the front entrance is right off the street. If you enter through the front there will be signs to direct you to the takeout window or wait for a host if you're dining in. As i approached the takeout window i was greeted and asked if i needed a menu. I knew what i wanted but i did need some accommodations since i was vegan. They let me know that they could make anything vegan except any curry since it does have fish oil in it. I got Pad Thai, spice level 2 and pineapple fried rice, spice level 1. They both were above my expectations, so much so that my picky newly vegan 5 year old daughter wanted to try it and made me go back inside to get her some lol. I made my way back in and the host made sure i didn't have an issue with anything i just purchased which was very nice of him and he directed me to the takeout window. I ordered another pad Thai but with nothing at all just noodles. It took a while to modify the order but they had no problem doing it and my daughter loved it! When we walked in, we were met with a "classy meets casual" ambiance. The decor is so beautiful inside, and the interior mixes fancy high class with a setting in which you can enjoy a nice date night or small gathering. The food here is quite good, and they excel both at takeout and dine-in. We ordered the yellow curry, the Tom kha soup, and pad Thai. The curry and Tom kha were actually a bit disappointing; I've had more flavorful versions of the dishes elsewhere. They also don't do meats especially well. The chicken and pork looked exactly the same, and only real difference the chef could offer to us when we asked was that the pork was sliced thinner. The flavor palettes were nearly identical. They can also modify the spice level from 1 - 5. I'm fine with spice and a 3 was perfect, while 1 was as spicy as a glass of water. The true star is the Kiew Nham soup, which we ordered for takeout. We also really enjoyed the Pad See Ew. Both incredibly scrumptious with a mixture of sweet and savory. The staff was friendly and attentive. No problems there. All the pricing was affordable too. Not sure when you're reading this, but everything on the menu was about $1 cheaper than the menus posted on Yelp. Nice! You never get that in NYC/Austin (where I live) I also love eggs and the veggie in it. One thing worth mentioning is the at most of the pad see ew I've had are super oily, but this one doesn't. This is a MUST ORDER for sure. The curry was rlly good too and the portion was very generous. It's just I generally prefer spicy curry and their yellow curry was sweet. We sat at the bar as the patio was done seating for the night, ordered a couple cold beers (it was warm out) and started with the fried dumplings. I order here all the time and have been for years, but they have messed up the order in the same way twice in the last few orders. On two separate occasions now they have sent noodle dishes via delivery without the flavoring/sauce. We end up literally receiving a container of noodles with veggies protein and oil. I'm very particular with my Thai food, it needs to be the right flavors and not all places are generous on the authentic, Thai spices aside from that, the place is actually beautiful and the service is beyond amazing. The biggest plus, is that you have a huge soccer field of synthetic grass outside that makes it so nice for your kids after going to eat so you don't have to eat and rush home. Highly recommend.
