Khao Horm Thai is one of the best Thai spots in Dallas. Everything we ordered hit:Khao Soi, Kra Pao Kai, Crispy Duck Noodle Soup, shrimp summer rolls, papaya salad, and mango sticky rice for dessert.

Perhaps one of the best Thai meal experiences we have had! Visited for late lunch/early dinner while on a trip to Dallas over the July 4th weekend. Located in a strip mall, the restaurant is small but modern/inviting, and maintained impeccably clean. We were a party of 4 - the place was empty at the time. We were promptly greeted and seated - service was equally prompt and friendly. The menu featured a number of unusual dishes alongside the customary ones that one experiences at a typical Thai restaurant. We ordered White Pad Thai with Beef, Green Curry with Beef, Green Curry with Tofu and Vegetables, and Minced Chicken with Fried Egg and Rice. Spice/heat levels varied from 2 to 4 on a 5-point scale, and were entirely appropriate for the respective dish. Food arrived fresh and hot - flavors just exploded in the mouth! Wow! The look, texture, and flavor/taste were superb, quantities too were ample for the price. We were so impressed that we ordered an additional set of the meals to take home with us! Well-done by the restaurant. Seven meals with taxes and generous tip cost $123. Not bad for meals these days - happily paid that amount given the wonderful experience we just had. Kudos to the owners and staff - a must-visit soon!

Khao soi, duck curry, and crispy duck soup

Laidback Thai spot in a strip mall. Stopped by for lunch on a Monday with my friend and boyfriend, and there was no wait for an indoor table, as most people seemed to have opted for takeout. I ordered the khao soi while my friend had the spicy duck curry and my boyfriend had the crispy duck soup. Everything was delicious and came out quickly. I had leftover khao soi and it kept well. You have the option to customize spice, and a medium was a good level for me. Free parking lot is available. Credit cards accepted.

Now officially my go to spot for crab Rangoon in Dallas! We also got orange chicken and veggie summer rolls. I'm getting both next time again it was so good and fresh. The inside was small but cute. The service was very nice and made me a Thai tea very quickly when I went for my pickup order. While I wish it came with boba it was still pretty good (a little in the sweeter side)

Overall, really good Thai restaurant. The interior was cool and inviting. The food was delicious. The service is good, but speed of service can be slow at times. Of note, it's closed from three to 4:30 PM.

I am so happy I went with my gut and tried the crispy pork belly noodles Ploy, our waitress was fantastic, so kind and checked on us often. I tried my husbands curry and didn't love the texture of the chicken, I'm sure it was well cooked but it was super soft and chewy. Flavor was good though. Next time I'd live to get pad Thai. The ac wasn't very high but it honestly adds to the ambiance- made me feel like we were back in Thailand. I'd definitely come back

We got the Chicken Khao Soi and the Pad Kee Mao here. Both dishes were good and enjoyable, but overall the experience wasn't especially outstanding. On a positive note, the service was pleasant, and we enjoyed looking at the wall art. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and checked on us at just the right times without being intrusive, which we appreciated.

The foods is not that good this time specially beef salad. No flavor portion is small. Hopefully will be better next time

Foods is not good this time . Beef salad no flavors green curry not a lot of meat or vegetable . Start in the World Cup. hopefully it will taste better next time , and the portion is a little bit way too small for the price ......

    Crispy chicken wings...not so crispy
    Charlene D.

Ordered the basil fried rice and chicken wings. The rice had absolutely no flavor at all. I ordered it at a spice level three and tasted no heat at all. I added an entire packet of soy sauce, which I never do, and it still had no flavor. The chicken was heavily breaded and not fried crispy as described. I was traveling immediately after and needed napkins for the road. I asked the server and at first denied me then only gave me one singular napkin. Never again.

This is my new favorite thai place. I highly recommend the Crispy Chicken Noodle, Crispy Pork Belly, and Tom Kah soup. The portions are also very big and shareable. The service is friendly and fast. It is a small place but still good for large groups. There is also plenty of partaking in front of the restaurant.

This is my go to Thai restaurant, it hits the spot every time! The food is always seasoned well and the laos sausage is so good and house made. Service is friendly and the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place.

This is a small intimate space with about 6-8 tables. There was a table of 9 that was seated across from which may it very load. We could barely hold our own conversation because it got so loud. Unfortunately they were short staffed this evening. That was the misstep. They also only had one wok available, which means dishes were brought out as they were prepared, and not the full order for the table. Someone eventually arrive to assist. The food was fresh, appealing and I left satisfied. Not a real bad experience but it wasn't also the best. Give it a try and let me know.

    Tom Kha soup with chicken
    Sharessa H.

I loved the food. I got the Tony Kha soup with chicken , jasmine rice and two spring rolls for lunch. Tom Kay soup will keep you satisfied and glowy, that's why I love eating it. The only suggestion I could make is to the staff, the gentlemen was lovely who served me. He seemed a bit rushed, hurried and a little scattered. I come to Thai places partly for the calm atmosphere, it felt anxious vibes. I'll come back one day, food was delicious and if I'm near by I'm definitely stopping in!!

It seems to me that this should not happen ever, but I grant that it's possible that it was an honest mistake. Consequently, we get to spend some scarce weekend time to go to the business and get the duplicate-double charge reversed tomorrow, and will be hesitant to return in the future on the heels of this error. Dining out is a treat until you find that you've been gouged with an obvious double charge. I recommend that you check your statements for recent visits here to ensure that the same error was not inflicted on you as well. Update: we returned to Thai Thai today to give them a chance to make the chain of events described above right, and they fell significantly short. The woman who gave us our refund (for the pre-tax amount, after asking us what we wanted and replying the full amount with tip) did not apologize for our troubles, or offer any additional concessions to make up for their error (running our card TWICE for different amounts at the same time, after giving it to our waiter). I asked for a gift certificate for our troubles/their error, and she refused, still with no apology. See you never again, Thai Thai, for double charging us and doing the bare minimum (not even an apology) to address their "mistake."

Between the four of us we ordered the roti canai -- with an extra piece of roti, since the base only comes with two, roti murtabak, two orders of the pork belly baos, chili crisp cucumbers, nasi lemak, beef haw fun, and bò tái chanh -- Vietnamese rare beef salad. Overall, the food was outstanding. I feel like the restaurant took all the greatest hits from every Asian culture and put them together on the menu. My favorite dish of the night was a toss up between the rare beef salad, the roti, and the pork belly baos. I loved how crispy and flaky the roti was and the curry dipping sauce that it was paired with was super aromatic, nutty, and rich. The pork belly in the baos was incredibly tender, well-marinated, and had a nice balance between lean and fatty parts. If you enjoy sour dishes, you will love the rare beef salad: there is enough lime in the dish to make you pucker. Every bite is a concentrated punch of flavors, and there is a nice variety of texture between the chopped peanuts, thinly sliced onions, rare beef, and crispy rice cracker. If you're in this part of town looking for a dinner spot, I would not hesitate to recommend Hawkers Asian Street Food. In addition to the solid food menu, the service and drinks were equally spectacular.

You can tell they brew it and it doesn't come from a syrup. When I sat down, I was instantly greeted, and there were like four different people serving my table, I think that they all work as a team to make sure everything is covered. The service was just amazing. Restaurant is beautiful, the booths were , small and intimate and you feeling that you in place with privacy and yet part of the group ....kind of interesting how they've done that. But the food! The food was outstanding, first they gave me a complementary appetizer of Jasmine sticky rice with this eggplant chutney, that was very tasty, a teeny bit spicy, but really good depth with flavor. Then my beef Samosas arrived. There were four, wrapped in like a triangle rapper, smaller than the Indian version of the same, and the flavor was very tasty, and corn and small chopped potatoes, yum! The two chutneys that came with it one was a cool cucumber, and the other was this sweet and spicy plum sauce. They made samosas!!! They could be soft and cool, or they could be delicious and spicy, depending on chutney you had them with and you had a third option.... There was a bed of pickled radish and carrot that really sit off the samosas as well and we're just delicious on their own. I devoured the entire thing. Then get the entrée. I had drunken noodles and I added the shredded pork... It was devastatingly tasty!!! the noodles were obviously done it a wok that's been seasoned to perfection. The wide noodles picked up all that deliciousness from the wok and then combined with the pork... heaven ! They had large pieces of bell pepper and tomatoes. very fresh onions... Just deliciousness. I was too full this time to get dessert, but I'm definitely coming back and I will definitely try it next time

Extremely Concerning Experience -- Please Be Careful…read more I've been a regular customer at this Thai restaurant and usually love their food, so today's experience was extremely disturbing. I ordered my usual shrimp Pad Thai and shrimp spring rolls. I immediately noticed that the food tasted very different--and not good. I told my waitress, Mercedes, several times. She checked with the chef and came back saying the issue was the lemongrass. I packed the remaining food to take home. There was also a strange issue with my bill: the items were listed as $13 + $17, yet the total was $31. When I questioned it, the manager simply told me that was how it rang up. About five minutes after leaving, I had an urgent gastrointestinal reaction and had to make an emergency bathroom stop. I became convinced that something was wrong with the food. I contacted the restaurant and spoke with Manager Michelle. She took all of my information and said she would get back to me. She never did. I called again today and left a message with another manager asking Michelle to contact me. Again, no response. Then things became even more alarming. When I went to dispose of the leftovers, I discovered what appeared to be bugs/insects in the food. At this point, I am extremely concerned about food handling and sanitation. I strongly urge the restaurant to investigate this immediately. Please be very careful about eating here until this matter is properly addressed. I have been a customer who genuinely enjoyed this restaurant, which makes this experience particularly disappointing and concerning.
