Very, very good tasting food. Everything has a bit of a Thai flavoring to it and oddly enough some of it is sweet tasting too. The hot and white sauces make the rice platter quite tasty. $12 ish dollars is bit high for a one person meal but it is quite large. There's enough for two meals easily if you're not hungry. Tastes very good, restaurant atmosphere is above average but not amazing. Price is the only thing, I think if the platters were $10 after tax this would be an easy 5 star rating. Although I'm ranking this as a 4, there are some things I think they can improve on. 1. Can anyone tell me why they cut the burger in half? 2. After they cut the burger in half, why is the bottom bun not cut? 3. My friend asks for no white sauce every time in his sandwich. They still put white sauce in the sandwich 4. I personally want the extremely spicy sauce that you can get from Halal Guys or Mamouns Aside from the complaints above, the food is pretty good. Mixed gyro platter is the thing to get here! Service is fast although orders can be wrong a couple times. Fries are okay but the sauces are pretty good and there is a solid variety of sauces which are good for the fries, burgers and sandwiches. I went to go pick up a Falafel and rice platter and a chicken gyro platter. I got on the phone with them to place the order and emphasized three times that I need extra pita. The person on the phone kept on saying okay yes. I figured they would get the message. When I got there I again confirmed while I was paying with the person behind the counter that I asked for extra pita, he looked at my receipt verified my phone number and said no pita and then I again, I asked for extra pita. He just seemed to look at me and start putting in his register. I did not throw the check there as I was hoping my 15th time telling them about the pita meant it should have been in the bag. I now just got home and opened the bag and guess what no pita. I know it's not a big deal for the pita but the fact of the matter is that if I ask for something 15 times confirming on the phone and in person, it should happen. This location has the worst food. SO DISAPPOINTED!! The burgers smelled foul, the chicken gyro was CURRIED chicken(wth?), they brought the fries out and it was cold tasted stale (they took it back and threw it into the fryer and returned it.. The food here is simply amazing. I always get the chicken gyro platter. Compared to other chicken and rice places, the chicken has more flavor and tastes cleaner and not as heavy (even when drenched in heavenly white sauce and hot sauce). My friends and I come here regularly, about once a month or so. Lately, we've tried to expand our tastes and order things other than platters. Their burgers are insanely good. The meat is so tender and flavorful. Add in a bit of white sauce, and it's unlike any other burger. They have a few burger options, all with slight differences in what they have. We have also ordered the wings. The wings are magnificent. With the size, it's like two wings in one. They are gigantic and definitely worth the price. Absolutely recommend trying them. The food is brought out in a reasonable manner, usually 10minutes. There are minimal complaints and issues for this place. It's about a 25 minute drive, even with other chicken and rice places being 10minutes from where I live, the drive is worth it for the quality of the food. read more

Worst Service Ever. So we called at 8 Pm and asked what time they are open till, they said last order is 8:45. We asked if we can order on the phone so it's ready by the time we get there and the guy said that would be ideal but they would also take the order after we got there. I let them know we won't get there until 8:20 and they said that was amazing. So 8:20 I get there, all my food is ready and I added a platter to my order, the guy asked me to pay upfront because he wanted to close the register. Without hesitation, I swiped my card and paid him. Our food came shortly after. The other two tables were also just finishing off eating. By 8:50 everyone had left and we were still eating. The owner sat in our face and watched us eat (literally). This was so uncomfortable. When I asked if they had milk the manager said "we don't have anything we are waiting for you to leave". I thought this was so rude because if they wanted to close they should have let us know when we called and we wouldn't have gone there, they can't tell someone to come, take their money and then make them feel uncomfortable and unwanted. This is probably why they took money before because they knew they were going to be rude and I wouldn't tip then afterwards. As for the food, the hot wings are not hot at all. Don't even order them. The heaven fries taste like hell. No taste to it. They told us it would be spicy and garlicy but instead if tasted like sweet barbecue. By the way, at first they just gave us regular fries and when we said we ordered heaven fries, that's when they brought us the heaven fries. They gave two small pieces of bread and we had to ask for the butter. Usually at Afghan restaurants, the bread and butter is served hot before the food arrives, ours was served cold with the food Never ever coming here again. This place is such a hidden gem. We recently moved to the area and my husband stumbled upon this place and I'm so happy he did. The food is delicious and you get so much. It usually last me two days. I've always taken it to go but while picking it up the staff is extremely friendly and he place is clean. The parking lot can get a bit chaotic but it's definitely worth it. I usually get the mixed chicken and gyro platter. It has the sweetness from the veggies and salty from the meat that makes just a perfect mix. I highly recommend this place. After reading all of the reviews, i decided to try this place over the weekend... i am not sure what the fuss is about. I ordered a chicken tikka sandwich with fries on the side... for take out. When i got home and opened up the food, i was very surprised. I was expecting pieces of chicken, but found chopped up chicken.. it was not tender, it was just juicy, and it didn't have any flavor (lacking salt and acidity). I did not feel very heavy or that our burgers were greasy so that was a plus point. My husband ordered a Mars burger (double cheese burger) without mushrooms. The burger itself needs some salt and flavor because I needed to put some hot sauce or ketchup or a bit of salt every other bite. The hot fries with buffalo sauce and blue cheese were a greaaat side. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich (which is not on the menu). It was pretty good-- I liked that it wasn't a fried chicken piece that I've had at other places. I F***in love the owner of this place. He is friendly and accomodating and will chat you up in an instant. The place is in the middle of nowhere. However the food is really tasty. Why? The owner. He has pride in his food and this is the magic secret sauce that many establishments lack. The hard work, pride and love that an immigrant puts into his American dream. One of the worst customer service I have ever had with this restaurant. I had called in to place a large catering order for $700 and then I went to pick up my order at the agreed time. But instead the owner Amir shows me bad attitude and criticizes me that I'm 10 - 15 mins late. Now what really surprised me that I had actually called him on my ETA before I arrived. But he continued to show me bad attitude and poor customer service by belittling me and saying that I'm not very prepared and I don't know what I'm doing. During the time for my transaction; I mentioned that the number of heads has actually decreased from 20 adults to 18 adults and so I would like to be charged for 18 adults. Yet he refused to accommodate my request and overcharges me for 20 adults. Talk about poor customer service and ripping customers off on large catering orders. Since I've had the best Afghan food out there in VA, outside of DC I'm a little critical. Chicken was sort if dry and rice was boring. This is the best afghan food I have had in a 50 mile radius. Its very traditional and flavorful and fresh. It can get very hectic there with service when its busy, I had to wait over 1 hour to get my food once, they screwed up the order a couple of times.. But I didn't care b/c I was there for the food. I am sure they will only improve their service over time so I am not taking that from them. I brought a friend that is from the middle east and he said the food was as if he was back at home. This is exactly the type of food I was looking for. For the past month, I have been craving NYC street cart chicken and rice, but haven't had any reason to go into the city (and didn't want to have to pay for the tunnel every time I was craving a chicken and rice platter!). I spent hours and hours on Yelp (okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit) looking for a place that had white sauce and I tried a few places in my area, but nothing was quite right. They used tahini instead of white sauce, the chicken was under seasoned, hot sauce wasn't an option, the list went on, but then I finally saw the pictures for Kabab Paradise. It is in a little strip mall right by a Quick Chek, but make sure you don't miss it! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the portions were large, and the prices were great (8.99 for any platter? I will take it!) I would definitely recommend the mixed grill. The falafel was a little dry for my liking, but I would definitely make the drive for the platter alone. I got the lamb gyro platter with rice and it was excellent! The platter itself was huge especially considering the price. I was able to finish about half of it before my friends had to finish it for me! The rice, meat, and sauce were all very flavorful, and while I'm not a halal connoisseur or anything, this may be one of the best platters I've had anywhere. The only thing that confused me was how to pay here.. I ended up paying right with my order while my friends paid after we finished eating, so I'm not really sure how that's supposed to work. Having everyone pay up front would probably make things more efficient. I'm getting so hungry writing this review - I can't wait to come back! Great spot, tons of people waltzed in while I was there. I never really eat in places like this. Gotta learn more about the sauces and the rice.
