Went a few months ago because it's near my apartment. Staff was unfriendly and not helpful when we asked for a recommendation. Our food was a premade takeout box frkm a fridge in front of us, put in the microwave and handed to us. Very dry and unappetizing, neither of us wanted to eat more than a few bites. Great secret gem with insane amounts of food for a very reasonable price. Everything runs between $11-12 and is enough for two meals. My chicken roti skewer was freshly made with great, moist chicken with zero gristle, onions and lime, lentils, and mint yogurt. I got it with the freshly grilled naan bread. Everything was delicious. SO happy we found this place. Their pulao is probably the best I've had. The biryani is great - has that homey feel and taste to it. The chicken korma was outstanding too, and we've had the achar gosht which is also really good. The prices are super reasonable - my wife and I can get one biryani and split it, so that's like a $12 meal for two. And best of all the owner is SUPER friendly!! I ordered naan and the chili chicken rice to-go. The naan was good, it tasted warm and the texture was fluffy and airy which I liked. The chili chicken rice however was just bland. It lacked seasoning and it just didn't taste like anything. Even the chicken pieces lacked flavor which was disappointing. I would have to pass or maybe order the chili chicken on its own. read more

You get a selection of about 7 dishes and a rice of the day that are ready when you walk in, or you can wait about 15 minutes for them to grill up some different meat dishes. If you are craving Indian food, stop looking! Kababish is where you want to eat. They have daily specials and a regular menu which is very easy to choose from and easy to see as all the food is served in front of you. Bottom line is the food is always excellent. As a kid that grew up with an Indian father who cooked with authenticity (and an American mother who didn't cook food ) much Indian food is very much my comfort food and Kababish is where I fix my cravings. Currently I am an Executive Chef at an Italian restaurant and I come here once a month, knowing that they run these specials and how many people come in and out you can tell the food is fresh. Even if you're just driving by stop for the Hot Chai Tea. It can get crowded and is very limited in seating but that's not stopping us from the take out either. Very authentic and very comforting. We try Chili chicken with the right amount of spice, their Biryani, lahori fish fry, goat masala and chicken chapli wrap. It's my first time eating exotic food. So I must try their Goat masala. My friend at first was hesitant to try it. And when I tasted it I said to her that it was good. It was oily but the meat was soft. It cooks very well. And also my friend likes it.
