Solid 4.5/5 Just as good as I remember it! It's been over 3 years since I've had Kabob House and I was worried it wouldn't be the same anymore. Thankfully I was wrong. Their chicken shawarma plate is as delicious and flavorful as I remember! The chicken, though white meat, is never dry and always cooked to perfection. I ask them to make it "spicy" by cooking it with some extra chopped up banana peppers and it gives the perfect pickled heat to the chicken. The rice is always fluffy, the side salad a perfect refreshing addition to the meal. Don't forget to ask for a side of their garlic sauce! I should branch out and try their other dishes, but I always get the lamb wrap and 7 sides of tahini on Fridays - my ritual reward for a week of good diet and exercise. The lamb is perfectly seasoned and so juicy. I love the fresh onion crunch with some cornichon pickles in there. I searched up some Mediterranean food and the Kabob House popped up as a close option with great reviews. A coworker and I decided to give it a try. As you walk in you see plenty of tables and chairs available. The place appears clean, not OCD clean, but clean for a building that's been in operation for a while. The decor is average, no upgrades of any sort. I didn't use the facilities here, so I can't give an honest opinion there. We were welcomed by an employee upon entering and she was ready to take our order. She was friendly and quick. The food took about 5-7 minutes and was delivered in styrofoam to go containers. This is a great option if you plan to eat only part of your meal and save the rest for later. That's actually what I had intended to do, but changed my mind. I got the three skewer meal, it was $17.99. I chose two chicken and one steak with salad and rice. The chicken skewers had about two more pieces of chicken each compared to the steak skewer. The skewers were laid on a bed of rice, which was plentiful and had no flavor. My co-worker chose the veggie skewer that came with rice and salad. Let's start with the bad. I really hate to put this, but there was a hair in the food. My co-worker noticed a hair that was not her own. On top of that the food was salty, I mean salty. I grabbed some hot pita bread and dipped it into the hummus expecting a different taste. It was so salty I wasn't able to eat it. I opted to start on the chicken after that. Again, the chicken had a lot of seasoning, but was mostly salty. My co-worker felt the sauce (likely their own garlic sauce) was just too overpowering. For $17.99, I think I ate about $7.99 worth. How about the good? I thought the salad was good. The little peppers are quite hot, so be careful. The pita bread was hot and just right. The steak skewer had less sauce and wasn't as salty as the chicken, so I was able to eat that. My co-worker said her veggie skewer was good as well. For the two of us with a small drink each, it was just shy of $40. For me, this would have been worth it if I could stomach the salt. Unfortunately, I couldn't. I would not recommend this place for anyone who is on a low salt or heart healthy diet. A better option would be Greek Street which is less than a mile from the Kabob House. read more

We absolutely love this place! The chicken shawarma is always flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Portions are generous--the rice is buttery and tasty, the salad is fresh, and the pita bread is warm and fluffy. The hummus and garlic sauce are both amazing. Pricing is extremely competitive, the toum is AMAZING, The staff is all extremely friendly. I usually get the three portion plate, comes out to $25.00 flat after taxes. I usually eat Arab food in Anaheim but this is truly a gem, flavors were better than most spots I've had in Anaheim. Kabob House is THE BEST falafel in Riverside. We found this place when we were visiting family in the Kaiser Hospital across the street- I am so bummed we didn't find it sooner. We've always wished there was better Mediterranean options in Riverside and this is the winner. The falafel is amazing, never dry and perfectly seasoned. The chicken is fantastic. Honestly- everything we've tried has been great. It seems like it's a family owned business and they're always so friendly and helpful when we've gone. We usually order ahead take-out because we live on the other side of town, but it's a cute little dine in spot and tons of parking.
