This place is a very decent AYCE KBBQ. It can get packed during certain days and hours, but their price and quality of food are very decent! There are certain types of meat that you'd have to place an order for from the paper and pencil that they provide ( I think it's the dinner menu), but other than that, everything else is self-served on the counter. They have plenty of signs to indicate that you should get a separate plate when plating your raw and cooked food. I also appreciate the timestamps they update on the fermented side dishes! We got the Galbi, beef belly, intestine, garlic, and lettuce wrap on the paper menu. On the counter, they have fried calamari, sweet potato tempura, fried rice, white rice, miso soup, spicy tofu soup, and rice paper wrap. Then they have a separate counter for the raw meat: beef bulgogi, spicy pork, pork collar bone, pork slices, spicy calamari, and then another longer counter with all the banchan, radish, noodles, potato salad, a variety of kimchies, jalapeno, sauces, etc. Basically everything else that you want is all self-served, and you have to go up there and get it yourself. The wait staff comes by now and then to refill our drinks, change our grill, and clear away any unused plates (from the raw meats). We had a good time here, good food and overall good experience. No waiting to place your order and no restrictions - just go help yourself! The AYCE buffet centrally located, being easy to get to from all sides. One section is filled with of a variety of meats and cuts: pork, beef, chicken. You can choose regular or spicy marinaded meats. Another main section holds a salad bar, vegetables, noodles, fruit, and sauces. I love stocking up on kimchi, fish cakes, daikon, and sprouted soy beans! Fried selections such as tempura offerings and pot stickers are also centrally located. Soups and rice are on the side. Moving among and between tables creates an easy flow. The food is always fresh and tastes of good quality. Pans and trays are rotated quickly, so there's little to no waiting to fill up on favorites. One thing I greatly appreciate about Koreana is the air flow. It never smells oily or smoky. The servers change out the grills often. I don't feel like I have to come home and wash my hair after eating here! Also, the spaces in between dishes are clean. Spills, drips, and overflow are cleaned up quickly. Customers can tell they care about a clean and crisp presentation. Lunch has plentiful offerings, and dinner has even more, broader offerings. One star for the selections & meat quality & restaurant ambiance For $39 per person on a weekend dinner, this AYCE Korean BBQ was disappointing. The meat selection was very limited, and the quality didn't justify the price. The restaurant also felt a bit greasy, and there was a lot of smoke throughout the dining area, making the experience less enjoyable. The banchan was mediocre and nothing memorable. Overall, it just didn't feel like a good value. I'd rather spend an extra $10 and go to Holy Cow, where the meat quality, selection, and overall dining experience are much better. Not the best food! Everything was cold and tempura was soggy! Never once came back to change our hibachi. It was pure black, coated with thick charcoal and food. They stated that the weekend lunch was $29.99 pp. No break on weekends, which was fine. When our bill came we were charged $35.99 pp. We couldn't find anyone to explain why we were charged so much, so we just left, very disappointed. My advice, don't waste your $$. Ever heard of AYCE kbbq with buffet style banchans? I haven't but I was very intrigued that they have that! Service is good, place is cleaned frequently, owners are friendly and staff check up on you for grill change without needing to ask. Came for weekday lunch at 2pm (ends at 3:30pm) and price was $23.99 - so worth it! I was lucky and didnt have to wait longer than 5 mins to be seated but surprisingly it was very full and people were still coming in and adding themselves to the wait list. There are a few meat items that have to be ordered with the staff but it's still unlimited. The other meat selection such as bulgolgi, chicken teriyaki, spicy pork, etc are all out at the self serve area. They even have fried rice, rice paper, fried potstickers, california roll and ice cream soft serve available. I enjoyed the experience and their concept of banchan. My husband and I went to lunch with our friend today and were pleased with the food available. At first we were a bit disappointed because we hadn't made a reservation at lunch time and it was getting fairly busy. We had to wait outside in the heat until we were called. We all tried the chicken, pork and steak selections as well as sides such as tempura, fried rice and wontons, and my husband and friend had soft serve ice cream for dessert. All food is all-you-can-eat buffet style and you grill the meats on a round BBQ in the center of your table. Everything tasted fresh and it's a fun experience to grill your own choices. The atmosphere is pretty smoky and ventilation could be better but it may be partly because of the glass partitions they have between the tables. It seems to make the air warmer and they contain the smoke from your table, around your table area. The service was good, the young man who seated us was friendly and informative. The young lady who was changing out the grills after they blackened was pretty slow and at one point we had to turn off the fire ourselves as it was burning and smoking some. I used to come here regularly because the quality, portions, and overall experience made it worth the price. Unfortunately, on my recent visit, I was disappointed to learn that the galbi is now limited to only 6 pieces per person. For a Korean BBQ restaurant, especially one known for its galbi, that feels extremely restrictive and takes away from the experience. The food is still decent, but the value just isn't what it used to be. I understand that costs go up, but the new limitations make it feel like the restaurant is cutting corners. There are plenty of Korean BBQ places where we live in Temecula, but none really compare to Koreana, per our neighbor. And now I see what she was talking about. I am very picky about meat, and I thought the meat was very high quality. The spicy chicken and spicy pork were lean without spots of weird texture. The galbi was super tender and delicious. Raw jalapenos on the grill? Yum! The mushrooms and onions added a great flavor to complement the meats. For the sides, the potato salad was yummy, as was the bean sprouts and japchae. I enjoyed the fried rice and potstickers too. A couple of things I noticed: some of the dishes were left empty for a longer time, and it didn't seem like they wiped down the counters very often in the sides area. During weekdays from 12-3:30... they offer buffet @23.99 .... all other times , it's 32.99 ... I was a single diner and was led to a booth. They have all the basics for meat... beef brisket, pork collar, pork belly, bulgogi, spicy pork, teriyaki pork, teriyaki chicken, spicy chicken, tripe, and marinated calamari.... They also offer a couple of soup, plain rice, fried rice, dumpling, pumpkin tempura, squid tempura.... Banchans were a lot as well... radish kimchi, kimchi, tofu, seaweed, radish wraps, bean sprouts, salad, lettuce wrap, different sauces, Oranges and ice cream for dessert... They're pretty quick to refill the table so thats a good thing. In terms of ambiance, it seems like the place does its thing.... meaning it serves its purpose... the staff are quick and would change the grill for you if they see that it's almost burnt... they are quick to refill your drinks as well.... My favorite local spot for KBBQ. We introduce many friends here and have been a regular for a while now. The workers are hard working but I wish they treat customers less like an idiot when it comes to grilling their food and handling the grills, at least to those that are regulars. They can get busy and meat refills are often behind. They should have a notification system to when to refill the meat so grills are not left too long on the heat for too long. We were waiting for meat refills for over 20 minutes, and keep the heat on low so the grill is hot and good to go when the meat comes. We made sure no smoke was coming out. The meat came out late and the waitress was rude changing our grill even we told her not necessarily. At least be courteous and customer oriented about that. read more

This korean bbq is a self serve buffet style restaurant. I would say they are very clean and always on top of things here. They have A LOT of options of side dishes however, i felt like the meat options were a bit limited in comparison to other korean bbq places but still great meat quality and really good marinated meat! The only downside is the ventilation for the grills feels like it wasn't strong. I will definitely be back when I am craving korean bbq! read more
