What originally caught my attention was the fact that they serve Halal food, so I was excited to share with my dear friend/coworker who is Muslim that I had found a place nearby where she can eat meat. Their hummus and fatoush salad are very flavorful, and their rice is so fluffy and divine. Sorry to say, the food at this place has declined quite a bit in the last couple of years. The food used to be really tasty. I made a point taking the twenty minute drive just for the kabob plate and roasted chicken I remembered, only to get the wrong order and nearly burnt chicken. They did try to make it right by letting me keep the wrong order they had given me , along with my actual one. Unfortunately the food just wasn't good. Very disappointing. read more

I ended up here when the place I drove to was closed on a Monday. I was familiar with this place on Yelp so I decided to stop over and try it for myself. I walked in the front door and observed an order counter with an overhead menu. I couldn't tell where the line was because there were people standing about as a soda fountain obstructed a logical line-up point. I had time to observe the menu and decided on what to order. I decided to order the rotisserie chicken as there were several chickens being roasted in plain view. I asked for Hummus with this as I'm not much for rice or salad. I also ordered a chicken skewer combo for my mother-in-law. I ordered these "to go." I was waiting for about 30 minutes total which was quite excessive but this place was busy at lunch time. I would recommend anyone to call ahead if you know that you will end up here. The prices were reasonable. I arrived at home and opened the boxes. Everything looked good to me so I took mine away to eat while watching an episode of Paranormal Lockdown. The rotisserie chicken was seasoned perfectly and was a good sized half chicken. The hummus was good; my only regret is not having another pita to tear up to dip in the hummus. My mother-in-law did not like the chicken skewers and asked me if I wanted the rest. I tried it myself and thought that they were perfect! The were perfectly seasoned and tender enough. I'm glad that I got to try them. I have been a return customer almost daily until the owner became stingy by charging extra for every little item especially with a high priced meal. Get 2 whole chickens and ask for pita bread to go with? " that is extra $1.00 per pita" dude I paid $50 for this meal least I can get is 2 pita breads which is standard . This is the kind of place you might be looking for, especially if you find yourself hungry after leaving LA Fitness or having to be at the large Riverside Kaiser Hospital and facility, both located right across the street. The menu is short and sweet, offering lamb, beef and chicken kabobs and wraps, beef and chicken shawarma, kefta, and rotisserie chicken. They also had a Falafel wrap for $4.99, or a plate for $7.99. Traditional sides included tabbouleh, foul, baba ghannouj, hummus. We had the Lamb Kabob. It was tender and quite good and priced very reasonably. The Chicken Shawarma was ok, I personally was not sure about the herbs, tasting more cardamom than I care to taste in the tangy marinade. However, everything else was good. I loved the clean taste of the hummus and the buttery rice. The side salad had a very good, light, oil and vinegar dressing. What's not to love?
