Greek Salad, Boneless Chicken Kabob a la Carte
Bryant F.

I'd driven past many times and this is my first visit. What took me so long? This is a beautiful restaurant, so much wood and metal with the design. I'd expected it to be a little more busy, but maybe I'd just missed the lunch rush. I ordered a Greek salad and added chicken kabob. Although it took a little longer than anticipated, just wow -- such a generous portion! And the meat was pretty much fork tender. A small touch that made me smile: when the lady at the counter was clearing a table, she made a point to stop by and ask if everything was okay. As the only person up front she kept busy and engaged. This is also an exceptionally clean restaurant. Definitely want to return sometime soon.

Food was hot and delicious. Comes with yogurt sauce, but you'll have to ask for the garlic sauce if you want it. Plenty of parking in front. They take credit cards. There is also a fountain machine to get your own drinks.

Convenient spot for lunch when in the area with covered parking. Order at a quick walk up counter and choose a table inside (mostly 2 seater fast food type tables), or choose a wired table with an umbrella outside. They brought our food to us and helped clear our table when we were done. If you haven't checked out the plates, they're substantial servings and was pleasantly surprised with the salad size. - Chicken Donar Kabob is the most popular. Generous amount of juicy chicken but thought it could be slightly more tender - Beef Donar Kabob was also recommended

3.5 it's a great quick spot. Food was pretty good but nothing over the top or something I'd be recommending to friends to try out.

Tucked away in Carmel valley. Kabob lounge has a great variety of dishes with fresh ingredients. I've been coming here over the years and I've always had a great experience with their food and their staff.

Excellent casual kabob spot in upscale shopping center and neighborhood! Will be back

Their Persian pizza was delicious but what was amazing was their baklava. The baklava was filled with walnut filling and gave baklava-fooman koloocheh fusion vibes! Sooo good!

We went here for dinner last night and got a large house salad. I added a chicken kabob and gyro meat on top. It was gigantic. The chicken kabob was cooked on a metal kabob for even cooking throughout the chicken breast. It was the best, most tasty, most juicy large chicken breast kabob I have ever tried. It was large and savory. Luna Grill and Daphnis do not compare at all. Great job! The gyros were ok and they gave a great potion. I would have preferred more charred pieces of gyro meat. Also they did not offer any sauces like a garlic or yogurt sauce for the meat or pita. Service was mediocre at best and they never checked up on how things were. Some employees were on their cell phone as they worked and cleaned the floors. It was kind of weird since I was the only one there. After 7:35 pm I felt unwelcome and rushed to get out of their store. They wanted to clean and close up. Overall, great chicken kabob and awesome portions here. It could use side sauces for dipping. Service today was mediocre but I'm hopeful it's just a one off experience. If service continues to be mediocre again when I return star ratings will go down. I'll head next door for dinner for award winning sushi.

Amazing food here everytime. We have ordered almost everything here and can say fully the food here is so flavorful and yummy. I especially love the gyro salad and the koobideh plate with rice and salad. Hummus appetizer is absolutely amazing along with their dolmadas. Please come here!

I thought it is a restaurant when I place pick up order on Uber Eat. However, it is kinda like fast food spot. Kabob was ok but not great. And inform falafel was disappointed.

Happened upon this place after Yelp-searching for food in the area. Kabob Lounge was just around the corner. Clean and open dining area and patio next door to some Sushi bubbles. Service was somewhat prompt during this lunch-hour order frenzy. Probably the best chicken kabob ever of breast meat (may have been tenderloin). Not dry at all. Very juicy and flavorful. If we lived closer, we would frequent rather often. Good food. Got super busy before we were finished. Dicks

Pretty ok. I wish they had more sauces to choose from. I ordered a side of hummus with my order and my husband and I both got the gyro plate. He liked it a lot and I thought it was pretty good. The rice with the dates is delicious that you can add for 2$ is really good. My kiddo loved their gyro wrap and my other kid loved the hamburger. Prices are pretty reasonable and the inside of the restaurant has sumac on the table which is nice and you don't see that to often.

There were a good amount of happy hour drink specials & fun Greek meze offerings. Sometimes you want a full meal & sometimes you want to snack, sip & graze. Meze delivered exactly that experience. We opted for the cilantro jalapeño hummus with pita chips & it was not your ordinary hummus. Savory, creamy & packed with flavor, it had just the right hint of spice to keep things interesting. Then we added their signature hot sauce & suddenly things went from delicious to downright craveable. Meze made for the perfect kickoff to our afternoon of food & drinks in the Gaslamp District. The restaurant was just under half full. We were given a choice of tables and chose a table just a bit closer to the back, as it was a bit chilly to eat outside and the front area didn't give us as much space. We were seated, given water and menus, and were greeted by our server. The menu was vast and took a long time to study. There were several traditional Greek items on the menu, as well as many less traditional items. I enjoy ouzo and wondered if there were any ouzo cocktails. Our server told us about the Cucumber Ouzito, which was a take on a mojito. We each ordered one, as well as the saganaki (flaming Greek cheese) to start. Our drinks and cheese were brought out. The food runner who brought the cheese was friendly and joked with us when we all yelled "Opa" with the flames. The ouzo gave the mojito drink a fun kick. Unfortunately, out server didn't return. We were sitting for a long time, so much that we joked about leaving to get our main course elsewhere. We had pretty much finished the drinks and cheese and hadn't even ordered yet, not to mention that I also had questions about the menu that I hadn't had the opportunity to ask. I finally caught a food runner and requested he bring our server, which he did. After a few questions, I found that the meze of the day was taramsalata ( a salted roe spread that I love). I ordered that along with the octopus. My husband ordered the stuffed salmon. Luckily, after that, the food did not take too long to come out. The taramasalata was good, but not great. I'm used to it having a bit softer texture, which is perhaps a personal preference. The octopus was pretty bad... chewy and had a flavor I didn't care for. The stuffed salmon was stuffed with white cheese and spinach and was quite good. The salmon was well-cooked. All in all, the restaurant is beautiful. Our service that night started off great, but then dwindled. The food we had was hit or miss. I would probably not return to meze, and instead go to a more traditional Greek restaurant with more reliable food and service.

The decor is gorgeous, warm, and stylish, with beautiful blue tones throughout -- which already won me over because blue is my favorite color. Our server, Emily, was fantastic. She was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely added to the experience. Great service can make a good meal better, and she absolutely did that. Now let's talk about the food, because they did not miss. At all. I ordered the salmon, and it was masterfully prepared. Perfect texture, full of flavor, and the sauce was the kind of sauce you keep going back to even after you swear you're done. My friends had the lamb, chicken, and beef plates, and everything at the table looked and tasted like it was made with real care. The salads were crisp and fresh, and the dressings were bright, flavorful, and balanced. And then there was the espresso martini. Honestly? Best I've ever had. No notes. The base price with falafel or chicken Shawarma was Close to $16 but since I chose the meat, they added two dollars to my total. It took about 10 minutes for them to assemble my meal, but my veggies were cooked fresh on the stove, which was really nice. They tasted very freshly cooked just as they would as if I had cooked them myself at home. I was there about 1245 on a Monday and there were a few people there and they had some takeout orders so my order took about 10 minutes before I could walk out the door with it. They had a nice condiment bar where you could pick out some yogurt with dill sauce and then they're famous garlic yogurt sauce, as well as a jalapeño sauce And another spicy hot one that I would never try. When I got back to the jury room to eat my meal, I saw that there was a nice quantity of the fresh salad and the grilled vegetables but the meat was piled high! The employees were working efficiently and the place was spotless and orderly.
