There was indoor and outdoor seating and we chose to sit outside as it was a beautiful night. We had amazing service, great food, in a really cute neighborhood. We were especially impressed with the staff, and we had a member come out more than once to check with one of the people dining with us who had food allergies to ensure that how they were offering the food would be safe for her. It was also impressive that this restaurant was so busy on a Monday night. There were three of us dining, and we didn't even order any of the meats, and there was plenty of food for us. From the Mazzes, we had the Omani Shrimp, which had a great dipping sauce and the Beet Carpaccio. (they were very accommodating and put the whipped feta on the side). For the Spreads, we did the hummus with mushroom, shisito and egg, which was amazing and the labneh with pickled fennel on the top. It's served with taftoun bread which I would describe as a mix of a cracker and pita with sesame on top. We also enjoyed a raw vegetable dish with radish and the most delicious apple slices. Their heirloom tomato salad was beautifully presented and plentiful. They had a flight of condiments and we were able to sample zhoug, spicy tahina and torshi, which was a mixture of pickled vegetables. We ended with a pistachio lava cake with the most delicious cardamon gelato. Overall, we had an amazing meal in their beautiful outdoor space, and we thought the food was really reasonably priced. There's something for everyone on this menu whether you're vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater.

We were greeted by smiles and a welcoming team at the host table and I quickly appreciated the Mediterranean charm of the restaurant -- I felt like I could have been in Rick's Cafe Americain or the Blue Parrot! The dim lighting offered a great blend of intimacy and privacy, while still letting me see the people at my table and the food! And the food! My goodness, the food! We had a wonderful sampling of shared appetizers. The hummus and Dill labneh were solid and would have been deemed more than worthy by my Lebanese grandmother! Olives were a revelation, and were done in a preparation that included pomegranate which paired really well with the brine of the olives! The star of the first round, however, was the whole cauliflower, roasted and spiced. Without reservation, I can say it is the most I have ever enjoyed cauliflower - and I shall return for it again! I was already full by the time my falafel arrived for my main course. Falafel was exactly as it was supposed to be, and it was good. I ate it all, and then, a la Violet Beauregard upon leaving the chocolate factory, had to be rolled out of the restaurant! Our server and his food runners were all gems! The manager also came by to chat with us a couple of times. Great people at Delbar!

I've dined at Rumi's original location in Sandy Springs (which opened in 2006), and everything was just as good, if not better, at this location. In my opinion, Rumi's and Yalda are the two best Persian restaurant brands in metro Atlanta. Rumi's has long been the standard, and this Midtown location has been a great addition since it opened on January 24, 2022. Logistics & Parking: We had a party of five with a Wednesday night 6:00 PM reservation. Rumi's is on OpenTable, so I recommend booking there to get 100 points. This place is popular--it was packed during our visit, even for an ordinary weeknight. Parking at Colony Square is expensive. Rumi's validates 50% of the garage fee, but even with that, it cost me $13.50 for just over 2 hours (it would have been $27.00 without it). If you park in the garage, the restaurant entrance faces the busy intersection of Peachtree and 14th, so you'll have to venture back out to get to the front door. Food: We ordered plates to share and each got our own entrees; though I ended up having two entrees. Here's what I tried: Hummus * Green Tahini ($14) - watercress, Urfa chili Eggplant * Kashk Badenjoon ($15) - fried eggplant, cream of whey, crispy onion, mint * Mirza Ghasemi ($15) - smoked eggplant, tomato, garlic Vegetables Crispy Potatoes with Radicchio ($15) - shallot torshi, lemon yogurt Feast * Chicken Barg ($32) - saffron-marinated chicken breast, saffron basmati rice * Roasted Salmon ($38) - salmon fillet, herb basmati rice In addition to the above, we received Sabzi Khordan (traditional Persian herb platter). It contained mint, tarragon, watercress, radish, feta, and walnuts. Everything was fresh and delicious. The kitchen ran like a well-oiled machine. Highlights included the eggplant dishes and salmon; it was one of the best-executed restaurant salmons I've had in recent memory. Ambiance: The vibe works for a business dinner, a date, or a casual meetup with friends (which was our reason for visiting). One of the buddies we met up with said this is one of his favorite restaurants in Atlanta when he's in town for work--that's actually why we chose it. We sat on the enclosed patio, and even though it was a cool evening, it was comfortable and toasty thanks to the heat lamps.

She says, the waitress hasn't come by. I reply no. A few minutes later she comes. Isn't prepared and doesn't get my order in timely. I asked her if my happy hour prices will be honored because she missed the order. Mind you, prior to her finally coming to my table I was watching her do nothing besides shimmying around where she could have been tending to guests. She says she can't give me the happy hour price because it is now past 6 p.m. There was zero ownership that this fundamental issue is one she singularly caused. I get up and walk away and took myself to Optimist down the street where I've been greeted and cared for. I am so annoyed by this failure. I don't live in the area so I was looking forward to getting reacquainted. I will no longer recommend this place to others because the service was horrible.

The perfect balance. The food - just incredible. We all got something different and I got to taste each one. The Chicken Barg Kabob was everyone's favorite. The Chicken kabob is VERY close though. I got the Soltani which was also amazing. The thing to do though is sub out the Zereshk Polo rice. You won't regret it. I got a little adventurous and ordered the Torshi - pickled vegetables. I'm not really into vegetables and I was a little worried when it showed up and didn't look very appealing to me - but it was SO good. Loved it. The staff were seemingly entertained that I liked it - apparently it's only Persian people that are into it, and they kind of laughed when I wanted to take the leftovers with me. My son liked it too though! And he's picky. We were getting ready to go when suddenly they brought an ice cream and wished me happy birthday. I think they heard my son wish me a happy birthday at dinner. Just really paying attention to detail. So this bright yellow Persian ice cream shows up. I've never had it. It is really different - like a cross between dinner and desert flavors. That doesn't sound good but trust me it's great. Again, my picky son loved it! It's got a saffron-pistachio-rose thing going on that actually really works! Much of this is probably very familiar to those who have enjoyed Persian food before. For our family it was a new and wonderful experience. I love this restaurant and DEFINITELY want to come back for Father's day. This is going to be my new special occasion spot.

Finally got the chance to try out Delbar!…read more We arrived early for our reservation, so we decided to sit at the bar while waiting. To hold us over, we ordered the hummus and Za'taar fries. The hummus came topped with fried chickpeas, which was such a nice addition-- I'd never had them prepared that way before, and the crunch added great texture. The fries had a nice cut and flavor, but they weren't as crispy as I'd hoped. I'd order the hummus again, though probably not the fries. Once we finished our appetizers, we were escorted to our table, which ended up being a pretty tight fit. We were seated at a two-person table between two larger groups of four, so it felt a bit cramped. Honestly, had we known the seating situation beforehand, we would've dined at the bar since it felt much more comfortable for dining and conversation. By that point, we were slightly full from the appetizers, so we decided to share just the Hanger Steak and the Polo Sefid. The steak smelled incredible and tasted just as good-- definitely a great choice! As for the rice, I may have gone in with high expectations after seeing so many pictures of it on social media, but for me, it was just decent. My boyfriend and I weren't huge fans of it since the grains kept getting stuck in our teeth. The service throughout the night was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming. Our server, Lance, was attentive and helpful with recommendations, refills, and checking in on us. I also loved the aesthetic of the restaurant. From walking through the doors and sitting down, everything was pretty. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend checking out Delbar!

The Iskender Kebab and the Muhammara were the best of the bunch, but overall I think I was expecting more punch from the spices and greater nuance in the flavors of each dish. The thing I honestly enjoyed most was the complimentary bread and sun-dried tomato dip, which has gotten a number of shoutouts of Yelp already. I would come back to this spot to get a handful of appetizers, eat that bread, and hang out for a few hours. It does seem like the restaurant needs more staffing. Everyone we saw was very kind, but it took a long time to get a server's attention whenever we needed something.
