    Crappy food

Horrible. Pad see eew was like baby food. Mushy. I would avoid this dish and the restaurant should be ashamed.

Whenever I order from grub hub it's like whomever is prepping it does not follow anything.... Only request was for it to be extra saucy pad Thai When I call in this order it's always ok but when I grub hub it... it's dry as a bone. As you can see on the receipt picture I did request it. The last time I ordered with grub hub had similar results paid for extra tofu and eggplant my order had 4 pieces of eggplant and the usual amt of tofu Call in your orders Vs online ordering Dry and mostly tasteless

Vegan friendly fresh roll (like salad wrapped inside)

My husband enjoyed the pad Thai, not greasy at all, dry but flavorful and the Tom yum soup. The good news on the apple salad is that you get a lot of chicken in it for the price, the bad news is that we ordered it vegan-friendly, (see pics). The fresh roll did turn out vegan friendly- would've preferred to order it with tofu but the online ordering was not allowing tofu selection for some reason. (Might be out)

I ordered the Fried Rice with Chicken and asked for added Broccoli. What came was basically a container of rice , a couple pieces of under cooked broccoli, a little bit of chicken and no texture and looks like it was never even stir fried. I can say the spring roll was fantastic. in short, I paid extra for chicken and for brocolli but got very little and the fried rice was not fried , flavorless and very unappealing.

Yum! I ordered catering through ezcater for work, and the food was hot, fresh, and delivered on time. Everything we ordered was yummy - drunken noodles, chicken lettuce wraps, chicken satay, and veggie curry. The spice levels are accurate - I ordered a 6 level for the curry, and it was decently spicy but not too spicy for a group. The sauces were also really yummy and the order comes with extra spice powder on the side as well. The dishes were perfectly seasoned and the satay was tender and moist, not dry at all. The veggie curry was so flavorful and full of fresh veggies. Perfect! We are definitely looking forward to ordering from them often, and I would for sure go back myself the next time I am in Royal Oak.

Due to a last minute change of plans we decided to meet one of our friends here for lunch. I wasn't familiar with Bangkok Cuisine although I had driven by here many times but hadn't eaten here before. It has a small dining area with two 4-tops and two 2-tops as well as a couple of stools at the counter. I think there are a lot of carry out orders but we were early and it wasn't busy yet and we ate in. We stepped up to the counter and reviewed the menu to decide what to order. My wife chose a Vegetable Curry Mild with Shrimp added and I ordered my standard first-time dish Red Curry Shrimp Medium. Our friend got the Pad Prik with Pork also Medium and an order of Egg Rolls to share. The Egg Rolls came out first and fast so I tried one. Being allergic to peanuts I asked for some Hoisin Sauce instead. They were hot, crispy, loaded, and delicious without being overly greasy. Then the main dishes came out. They all had plentiful portions and the medium was medium and the mild was mild! So many places can't seem to get this right. The chef actually brought the orders out to us himself and everyone was friendly and made us feel welcome. The taste of my Red Curry was exactly what I was looking for. My wife was impressed with the variety of vegetables that were in her dish. I might normally passed over this place as I look for higher ratings and lots of them. But I'm so glad we were able to try them and we will probably be back.

The Pad See Ewe has fresh wide noodles and an awesome sauce. I also love the Kra Tiem and fried shrimp appetizer.

Their sign is easy to see as you drive by, but my friend did give me a heads up that their door was not obvious. You need to walk through a fence and then open a non deacript door. The artwork outside is awesome! When we walked in we received a friendly greeting and were quickly shown to our seats. We had made a reservation ahead of time and there was no delay to seat us upon our arrival. Our server was friendly and took our drink orders right away. I appreciated that they had multiple non alcoholic drinks and at a fair price. I started with the Thai Iced tea which was delicious, but I would have loved a glass 2x the size! We ordered multiple dishes to share amongst us. I did ask the server how many dishes they recommended that we order as I wasn't sure of the size. The items are brought out as they are made, so we had food being dropped off to is at random intervals. The only slight issue we experienced was when someone else tried to bring a plate of squid to our table. We let them know that we had not ordered it. They then went and talked to our server, who brought the squid back to our table. We also let them know that we had not ordered that dish. Our server did bring back our order slip and looked it over, and I believe at that point they realized that we really had not ordered that dish and just weren't rejecting it. I am not sure if it had been written wrong, communicated to the kitchen wrong, or what but we did have to state multiple times that we had not ordered it. The rest of our dishes arrived correctly. The crispy chive cakes were great, and the sticky spare ribs were AMAZING. The caramel glaze on the outside of the ribs was so good, and they were tender as well. The outside was super crispy. I would absolutely ordered these again. I would say that both of those dishes were only for 2 people. The sticky rice and jasmine rice were as to be expected, and I personally felt that the papaya salad was not as good as others I have had. The chilli noodles had an amazing broth and I would also recommend. Overall, I did enjoy our dinner but I am not sure that I would go out of my way to return. I am rounding up to 4 stars based on the sticly ribs alone, otherwise a 3.5 would be more fair. I have been hearing about Takoi for years, so maybe my epxections were too high but I was expecting a bit more.

We were promptly seated just after the happy hour began and there were some tables taken up already. Service was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. We ordered the ribs, fried chicken bites, and then each of the happy hour sushi rolls. The stars of the show were the ribs and fried chicken. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. They weren't too sugary either, but definitely had some sweet to them. I'm not a huge rib guy, but these were special. The fried chicken was equally delicious. It came with a sauce that was very good too. Would go back just for those two items. The sushi was good, but not the best I've had. My favorite was probably the shrimp tempura roll. Spicy tuna roll was pretty good as well. Because of how good the ribs/chicken were, this gets a 5 star. The happy hour pricing was very reasonable. Normal pricing a bit rough.

It really added to the whole experience. For starters, we shared the hamachi and crispy rice, both of which were fresh and delicious. For mains, we got the pork ribs and the chicken fried rice, and honestly, the fried rice was a highlight. The panko-crusted chicken pieces in it were such a clever touch. The ribs could use additional flavor (think more ginger-soy). I also loved the cucumber mocktail, which was so refreshing and a great option if you're not drinking. We had reservations and when we walked in it was quite empty but it is a very inviting environment, the music was soft and smooth and the people were nice. The menu is small but it does have some interesting menu items. It was very quiet inside, kind of awkwardly quiet and we sat next to people but the tables are quite close together, we could literally hear everything they were saying and they could hear us and we were talking in whispers. For a cocktail, I ordered the Enamorah Old Fashioned, if you are a bourbon lover then you will love this, it is a Woodford Reserve with the cherry cask taste, it was amazing! Definitely worth it. Then I ordered the Short Rib Bao Buns and Teriyaki Bourbon Chicken (got to keep the bourbon flowing). Now before I mention the food I have to say first that it isn't too often, maybe literally once every couple years that food shocks me because I have eaten every food type you can think of so there isn't too much that can intrigue me to want to try it, ok so now let's carry on with the review. So the Short Rib Bao Buns were nothing short of perfection. The pineapples gave it a phenomenal tropical taste and the bun itself was soft, chewy and buttery, the rib meat was tender, flavorful and easy to chew. I can't describe the taste you just have to try it yourself. Now let's get to this Teriyaki Bourbon Chicken. Mannnnnn, let me tell ya, there isn't foods that give me goosebumps much but this did it. It came with Collard Greens, the chicken and Mashed Potatoes and then had a an extra dribble of teriyaki sauce to mix with it. The Chicken & the Collard Greens went well together, the mashed potatoes & the Chicken went well together, the mashed potatoes & the collard greens went well together, I mean everything was top tier as you could want it. Now they do have gratuity already added but it is definitely worth the meal. This is a place you have to come and try and then wonder what you're gonna have next time when you come because it is THAT good. If I could give this 7 stars I would.
