This place is a ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! From the decor to the food to the hookah everything was an experience! Walking in you're greeted by the story of Kahramana and beautiful modern decor. We were seated right away and the entire staff was courteous and super helpful! We sat and browsed the menu and were shortly approached by our server, who was very polite and took our order. Appetizer's: 5/5 We ordered the Fried Kubbah, the cheese boorak, Fries, Kahramana Salad, and Hummus for our appetizers. Everything came relatively quick and could tell that everything is made fresh and not frozen. We were served the hummus along with their house made bread which was amazing. The taste was honestly some of the best food we have had. The best part was honestly the freshness which made everything phenomenal. Drinks: 5/5 We ordered some of their mocktails including the Red Bottom and the South of the Border (Pina Colada). I had the red bottom personally which was great. A nice blaxkberry blend drink with great presentation and taste. The pina colada was served very similarly with great presentation and was told that it tasted great as well. Main Course: 5/5 This was the gem of the restaurant. We ordered the Rib eye tikka skewers, the chicken skewers and the mixed grill platter. You could tell that the food is made fresh and not frozen and honestly I wish more restaurants did their food this way. Everything tasted so juicy and tender my entire group was mind blown. Particularly the rib eye tikka was TO DIE FOR! So tender and juicy that im definitely coming back for it. Hookah: 5/5 We ordered their own special mix called the Kahramana special and it was great. My dad does not smoke and even he was enjoying it and sitting and smoking. Honestly speaking this entire experience at Kahramana was fabulous and we throughly enjoyed our time here. Mother day I made reservation for my family and went to restaurant they forgot to put my name down . I waited an hour and half till they started serving my table. we were 6 and paid total of $700 , charged me $100 service charge.( don't know why? Service was terrible) Food was not enough for 4 persons but they said they did a mistake and put food for 7 Chicken was completely raw asked for the owner he didn't even apologize and offered us a plate of mixed grill for free. I must say it's been a long time since a spot has impressed me this much. This place is massive!! From the host to the owner, customer service was on par with what any high end establishment would have. I had a few concerns about the food being halal, I asked the waitress if she could confirm and she did verbally. But unfortunately I would have felt more comfortable with a certificate or some proof. In no less than 5 minutes the owner of the place comes in and take my to the back deep freezer to show the inventory of halal meat. Ok that's a Win! Then goes and shows me the halal certificate! Add another W. Put my mind at total ease. Decided to go with the Chicken Tikka Skewers and honestly, my people originated that recipe.. this spot delivered beyond expectations. Presentation was spot on and the food itself was delicious. The hookah was good as well.. however I have to say it's a bit overpriced for the current market.. $35 for a regular and $45 for a shishabux looking setup. Great spot for middle eastern cuisine. As someone who's spent time in the Middle East, this place is legit and feels, as well as tastes, authentic. The flavors were great although I think I might recommend the chicken over the beef. The spicy hummus was very good and the pita was so fresh. My favorite was definitely the Kanafeh! It came out steaming hot and was just perfect (exactly as it's supposed to be). It's a big fancy place with tons of seating and we enjoyed sitting outside (except for the smoking). I will say, the portions are pretty big so you could easily split an entree because this place is decently expensive. Give it a try. Apparently they have live music on the weekends. read more

My brother had my wife and I come check this place out after he came here yesterday, we were blown away by the amazing service, beautiful interior, and delicious items we got off the menu. This place made me create a Yelp just so I could leave this review. My wife had their Biscoff Cookie Butter Crepe, and said it was the best dessert she has had in a long time. The Lahan Bajine was light and flavorful, and their Angry Birds drink was fun and delicious! Thank you to all the staff who were amazing and made the night out a blast. I heard about this new Iraqi restaurant in Upland from friends so I decided to give it a try. Went on a Wednesday night with a group of friends and I was surprised on how beautiful this restaurant looked from the exterior to the interior just amazing and you can immediately tell the owners put a lot of effort into it. We were greeted right away and were sat in the lounge, our server Alejandra made us feel so welcomed and did an excellent job in taking care of us, she gave us good recommendations and the perfect amount of food to feed 4 people, we had the Fish for 3 people but trust me it will feed way more than 3 people, kabobs were juicy and tender and they came in a small bbq box with coals beneath them to stay warm and they did not dry out at all, for appetizers we ordered Hummos, tabouleh and the cheese bread and were all delicious. You are paying for quality food, beautiful ambience and 5 star service thanks to our server Alejandra, the owner was also nice enough to bring out one of our plates and introduce himself. Very sad to report I will not be going back here again. I went a few months ago with family and the food was great but sadly that has changed. My husband and two kids were with me and I was seated in the enclosed patio where I noticed immediately that they were smoking a hookah. I requested to go inside as far from the smoke as possible because I'm an asthmatic. After we started to receive our food the table next to us started smoking two hookahs while eating which, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to smoke in an enclosed area in California! They bring in an Arabic singer who screams at the top of his lungs on a sound system designed for the Honda Center! Talking to the person right next to you is impossible - even if you scream. So we just wiped the blood that was dripping from our ear drums and tried to enjoy the food... just wish they lowered the volume. I'm now on the path of recovery. Steer clear of this place unless you want uncooked food and terrible service. The food is very bland and tasteless, like it was not seasoned. Also, be prepared to wait about 45 minutes to an hour for dine-in service. There is no attention to detail when they take your order. I went with some friends, and one was allergic to tomatoes, so we asked that it not be included in the chicken, and they said sure, no problem. However, when the food was served after an hour wait, it had the tomatoes included, and we simply got up and left because they refused to remake it to order, and they said that sorry, we are busy and do not have the time to pay attention to such details. Not to mention that they charged my friend's card three times and added on some other things that were not even included in our meals. read more

We came to celebrate my friend's birthday party, and the food was great. The service was horrible and all over the place. We were seated and brought (3) water cups when we were a table of 4. 30 mins later and no waiter had shown up. Finally a waitress came and took our orders (by this time we ordered drinks and food). My friend ordered a sprite, which was forgotten. We had to remind them of this in addition to a water cup. The food came and all was great, then we sat there for about 1.5 hours without anyone coming to check on us, asking if we need anything. Then a waiter came and asked if he can clear the table, which was fine. He took all of our waters and didn't ask if we wanted dessert. Then again, nobody came for 30 mins, and we spotted the waiters taking hookah breaks (very unprofessional while people are waiting for some service). My friend had to get up and go find a waiter to order dessert. The waitress came back to our table, took the dessert order. We ordered pistachio ice cream and she didn't mention that they're all out. We got charged for the ice cream, which never came. We haven't seen worse service than this. We will definitely think twice before coming here again. read more
