Helpful service and a local market that serves the local farmers. The produce is fresh and ripe. I loved that they had meats and salsas from local farmers and artisans. It is easy to miss but situated across from Rebel Restaurant. Organic micro greens were amazing.

This little store is a TREASURE of high quality local food! You must stop in, especially for the best fresh fruits and veggies. Per their name, everything is truly FRESH and local! All grown, caught or made locally on Hawai'i Island. Their produce selection is top notch, super high quality, AND at better prices than the bigger grocery store (Choicemart) up the road. Big beautiful avos, baby! Gorgeous oyster mushrooms! They offer local Sundog breads (soooo good) and even fresh pizza dough in the fridge. They also carry everything from frozen 'ulu (breadfruit), to local jams, to coffee. My favorite treat is probably the rotating selection of fresh juices and bougie chilled coffee drinks in the cooler. They also carry things that I (as a vegan) won't buy, but can appreciate that they are sourcing all locally - eggs, meats, etc. The owners are a lovely, warm, hardworking young couple with a ton of community spirit. Definitely don't miss this sweet spot in Kainaliu village!

    Great variety and so fresh!

First off, their macadamia ice cream is really really good! Creamy, thick, sooo tasty! We also ordered: Epic Feisty Tacos - 5/5 - comes with three tacos and spicy sauce. The tacos are super tasty and perfectly balanced spicy, savory, tangy flavors. The lemon herb chik'n is also so good, you can't even tell it's vegan. The tortillas are a bit on the crumbly side, but still equally tasty as a taco bowl. Definitely would recommend this dish if you love spicy tacos! Epic journey nachos - 4/5 - the toppings on the nachos taste similar to the feisty tacos. The chips are more like baked tortillas with a crispy exterior and softer center. Journey Classic Crepe and Blueberry macnut crepe - 3/5 - The crepe itself was a bit thick, I'd describe it as more of a pancake than a crepe as crepes should be super thin. Still pretty good though all together, fruity and sweet. Latte with oat milk - 4/5 - a bit on the bitter side but not a bad latte! Asian salad - 4/5 - good salad, vegan meat is well seasoned and everything pairs well together. It wasn't very Asian tasting though, more like a Mexican-Asian fusion salad.

I particularly enjoyed their strawberry shake, which was so refreshing. I noticed that they also have a coffee one, which means I'll need to stop in again next time I'm in Kona. in spite of walking in during a busier time of day, service was quick both while putting in the order and waiting for our food to come out of the kitchen. The decor is a visually fun and engaging mix of greenery and art designed to keep diners feeling cooler in Kona's heat. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. Even if you're not committed to vegetarian or vegan food, there's a lot to like, especially if you're looking for something light, clean, and sweet.

We ordered one small pizza to go and were happy to see how many options they had. Unfortunately for us, a lot of them included pork, which we don't eat. Still, I picked one pizza I was really curious about, and I was pleasantly surprised when they had no problem swapping pepperoni for chicken. That flexibility is always appreciated, and it never felt like we were limited just because we don't eat pork. We didn't dine in, but I noticed they have a really interesting cocktail menu, which fits the island vibe perfectly! To be honest, my husband wasn't expecting much, pizza isn't exactly what you come to Hawaii for, right? That's what we assumed. But wow, we were wrong. About 40 minutes later, back at our hotel (after a shower and everything), we finally sat down to eat, and the pizza was still amazing. Crunchy crust, great texture, and full, balanced flavors. We're no longer on vacation, but we still talk about this place and easily rank it in our top three food spots from our Big Island trip, which says a lot, because we're serious about pizza. If we ever come back to Hawaii (and I believe they have locations on other islands too), we will 100% be getting pizza from here again. Highly recommend giving it a try if you're visiting Hawaii

My wife and I thought everything was delicious. We may be biased because we've been coming here for four decades through many different restaurants. If you remember Dorian's than you are indeed an old timer. One of the challenges with owning a restaurant this close to the ocean is that big storms can wreak havoc and over the years it has caused restaurants here to fold. Kudos to the current owner who has been through some very big challenges over the years! You as a customer get to enjoy one of the best oceanfront restaurants on the coast thanks to that perseverance. We had a great server in Pete, and the entire staff seemed to be attentive and friendly. It probably helped that I showed a pic I found on my phone from 2007 showing my wife and her grandpa and 5 generations celebrating his 99th. So yeah this and the Kona Inn were for special occasions in our family. With the parking downtown such a problem Magics has an advantage with free and ample parking across the street. If you're looking for a memorable place to enjoy a sunset with the sound of the ocean then make a reservation for a half hour before sunset and enjoy yourself. When we travel we seek out places that will be remembered for the experience and hopefully the food will be part of that experience as well. We need to come back and try some more dishes before we can really judge that aspect but we will definitely be back. As to the prices well it's Hawaii. It is expensive but not overpriced! Mahalo.

Sorry, but this place is basically a lesser version of Subway…read more I ordered a spinach wrap and... yikes. The wrap itself tasted old, and the filling was just a sad mix of veggies (and I use the term veggies loosely because they were definitely not veggie'ing). We gave it a shot because it included garbanzo beans, which sounded promising, but they were bland, flavorless, and matched the overall lack of effort in the wrap. Just no. Vegetarians: do yourselves a favor and skip this one. There are way better options out there. Service: The woman behind the counter seemed totally rushed, even though we were literally the only people there in this ghost town of a food court. She just kind of tossed the ingredients on the tortilla, wrapped it up, and that was that. No care, no flavor, no thanks. Ambiance: Not much to say: it's a food court that felt totally empty and lacked any energy. Hard pass. Would not recommend.
