Gas And More Gas…read more This small gas station is across right next to Windward Square with Adelas Country Eatery. The lady inside here was very friendly, she asked where I was from and told me where to eat and more importantly, where NOT to eat lol. Its very tight inside and there was a hot dog spinnin in the hot dog roller (didn't wanna take a pic of the hot dog because well it was close quarters and I felt a little shy lol). Even saw some bean burritos! (Gas and more Gas anyone?) Seemed to be a lot of variety for a small mart! I really appreciate the pleasant conversation I had in here though, I find some gas station attendants either robotically mum or grouchy lol. Shoutout to the few reviewers here and especially Nadine for pioneering this spot on the map with the FTR!

Very fishy if you ask me but don't be alarmed when you come here. You walk in and the establishment is set up with sensory alarm to inform the staff someone has walked in. Primary selling alcohol and cigarettes, they also carty canned food, prepared items, snacks and so forth. It's very clean inside and surprised that it's air-conditioned inside. Very comfortable when shopping here as it's usually warm year around. There are numerous hand-written signs warning you NOT to purchase alcohol or tobacco products for under-aged individuals. Because this store is socially responsible rather than interested in making more money, this gets bonus points from me. This may seem the norm in Chinatown but you can smell urine on the sidewalk while walking to here. Yuck! :P A very convenient place if you need to pick-up some things when you don't want to walk all the way to either Walmart, Pali Safeway or Longs. But be aware of the surroundings and keep you eyes open and hold onto your possessions Yeeps when in this area!

Call me weird, but since I missed lunch yesterday & had to do a night time installations at a bank last night, somehow I ended up at Tony's Liquor & Deli. Yeah, there were other places to eat near by, but somehow L&L, or Best Drive-In did not appeal to me, and the rest of the food joints were either closed, or not food related. Upon walking into this liquor store I could clearly see that is was a very small mom & pop operation. Tony's Liquor & Deli sells an array of drinks (alcoholic & non-alcoholic), snacks (they got lots of 'em), and a few random things (like I saw slippah's, automotive fluids, etc.). I basically came in here to look for something small to eat, like a musubi or whatever I could find appealing, but unfortunately coming in here so late in the afternoon.......I gotta tell you folks, it's slim pickin's my friend! Located along Sand Island Access road, just across the street from the First Hawaiian Bank (Sand Island Br.), you can find Tony's Liquor & Deli. Upon walking around the store, I did find a few Spam musubi's, but since I don't do processed meats, I passed on it. Then I saw a bento under a heat lamp, but the bento looked to be in very bad shape, as it appeared to be all dried up. Looking further on the snack table I saw an individual sliced pound cake, some kinda empanada, a single rice cake (shucks, should have bought it, but passed on it), and of course some Almond Cookies. As you can see in da pic, you know what Bruddah Fran ended up buying.......and what I got was two stale Almond Cookies for $1.66 w/tax! Lol! I ended up eating one almond cookie, then throwing away the other cookie.......well, I guess it's better to have something to eat, then nothing at all? Lol!
