The pharmacist I spoke with was so dope! He gave me information I needed. He told me it's a 20 min.wait. It could possible go a little faster. So, I decided to go to do labs. Walked in got my number. The receptionist greeted me right away. So, I sat and waited for my number to be called. Once it was called I checked in. She said I love your hair on the picture on her computer. And in your license picture is so beautiful . Now mind u my hair was a hot mess that day. lol she said and your beautiful today. She was just a sweetie pie! Her energy was phenomenal. Small pharmacy and I had to pick up my sister's meds so I went to check in line and gave her member number. Then they told me it would be 15-20 minutes before it is ready and I saw her name on the screen and sure enough her name got called. The clerk was friendly and offered a bottle of water. read more

The Service was great selection was great and the value is a great priceless passes fantastic I just have to get used to doing this frequently so I won't get these flareups constantly the classes the physical therapy hands-on is really great, but I still have excruciating pain. Sometimes it could come all day or yeah it's just really hard when you're trying to enjoy your activities and you can't do what you used to so the selection here I would say again that we do different movements because it's a movement class and then the value of it it's price is because you can learn how to become better with your movement and learning how to pace yourself I will continue my journey so I can get better. Hopefully, I keep trying all these different movement & exercises that it works out because I do not like Pain. Kaiser Permanente has a pharmacy in each city where it has medical facilities . this one is bigger than sleepy hollow in Hayward, smaller then San Leandro's. probably bigger than Alameda's. (never went there, used to be a post office building). normally i get meds thru the mail when my docs prescribes it. for over the counter meds, some aren't available by mail. some "meds" weren't prescribed but recommended, thus not available for mail order. the pharmacy isn't busy till 11 ish, then there's a line...not all windows are staffed. this pharmacy is only open weekdays during regular hours unlike san leandro which is 7 days, long hours... read more

I came here to pickup someone's meds. Someone told me this Rx is bigger than the Rx at Sleepy Hollow, so maybe it's faster? Well, it certainly is bigger, but not much faster. That's because the Union City Rx has 10-12 windows, but only 3 were staffed. I have no problem with this Rx, because I've seen worst. So yes, it's a big pharmacy, but they don't staff the windows. So you have to wait. That's why everyone should use the Mail Order Pharmacy. Notes: *During Covid-19, the Pharmacy's bldg entrance is closed. Everyone has to get screened and enter thru the main entrance of the building. * The driveway to 3553 Whipple Road is actually at Union City Blvd x Kohoutek Way. I usually order and pick up medication here, but today I was met with horrible service. I came to order meds, and was told to wait for an hour (checked in 4:35 and it was already passed an hour). They had to tell me after I waited a long time that one of the medications would take longer prep time. Usually I am notified ahead during check-ins here if the medication needs to be approved so I can come back later on. But today they failed to give me a heads up. When I confronted them about this, one of the pharmacists told me I checked in late (5:17). I got my medication after two hours of wait. Rest assured I hope they work on this. read more

I...don't know why I go here for my medication but I do whenever I come to my primary care physician. I really also should just start shipping my medication home but I was a bit late on doing that recently so I had to do it in person. The lines are extremely long here especially today which was a Friday morning/afternoon. I know they're going as fast as they can, but wow...it's just...so long to get in line. Since it's one of the bigger pharmacies you would think it would be a little bit quicker right? WRONG. There is always a wait here and sometimes if you come at the wrong hours, the line goes out of the door. Nothing gets me more excited then having to come to the pharmacy, wait in a 20-30 minute line surrounded by sick people and crying children. I actually prefer crying kids more than the kids that are running around and bumping into people. Really people, if you can keep your dog on a leash you can keep your kids on one too. I'm just sayin... What can you expect from a pharmacy right? Especially a Kaiser Permanente pharmacy. But I really do have to give it up to the staff, they are in there for more than 8 hours a day and are still pleasant and helpful. If it wasn't for the staff this place would be getting only one star. If your going to make a trip out here, plan wisely, don't come around 3-6pm that's when people are getting off of work and when the MADNESS starts. With all the money people pay for their insurance, you would think Kaiser would be able to come up with a quick and efficient way to get people in and out. read more

I gave this pharmacy 2 stars only because of their employee Lisa. I was told by my doctor to check in at the pharmacy then go get my x-ray that way my prescriptions would be ready or close to ready. I got in the check in line saw there was a closed sign. Apparently Lisa was suppose to help people in the check in but I stood there, she looked right at me but didn't help me. There were no other people in the pharmacy line just people waiting for their Rx. So I went & got my xrtay then came inot the pharmacy & had someone else check me in. I had to wait another 20 minutes for my Rx. My Dr. appt was at 8:30am & I got everything done at 9:50. Way too long to wait because of someone not doing her job. read more

My family and I come here for all our medications. They facility it's self is well kept and OTC meds are always in stock (usually, when I come around). Their hand sanitizer and face masks are always in stock! This facility is very spacious compared to fremont and San Leandro pharmacy. The staff is always awesome. One employee that always has a big bright smile and attitude is this one Filipino man(I forgot his name, sorry!) he's super welcoming and I always hear other patients comment about how great he is. I work in a medical office and called in a prescription for a patient. Waited forever and was transferred to a pharmacist. Asked to be transferred to the main pharmacy. Pharmacist couldn't understand English so had to repeat the name of the patient 4 times. Pharmacist got defensive and coped up an attitude. Finished calling in the prescription and wanted to make sure that this prescription would be ready for our patient at the main pharmacy. The pharmacist states that I wasn't calling the main pharmacy. I told her I was transferred to her when I asked for the main pharmacy. I kindly asked for the phone number to the main pharmacy and she said she didn't have that information. This is the main place I would pick up my medications since my PCP and OB/GYN are in the same building. Definitely got much busier since the hayward location closed. It's a long wait if you go during the time people get out of work. The longest I've waited is probably about 45 minutes. The clerks are nice though. read more

I recently switched health plans and I use a medicine that's an oral spray. Kaiser's policy is that medicine can be canceled but once it ships then the Kaiser member is charged the full price. However, because I changed plans and the price is going to go up, Kaiser won't tell me what the price/cost of the medicine is - until after it ships. Kaiser knows that what they're doing is going to elicit a strong, negative reaction in whomever buys the medicine. So they keep the price secret until it ships so that the buyer cannot cancel the order when he finds out how much it costs. Kaiser hates to return medicine to stock - so they make sure that they won't have to by keeping the price/cost secret until it's too late to cancel the order. One star and it should be lower because of the obvious, deliberate - that's DELIBERATE deception. jjmoon read more

I have to come here for meds that i cannot get mailed in. I miss the 24hr Hayward Pharmacy that has been moved. While the medicals services for this Kaiser is good the Pharmacy is horrible!!! You usually have to wait in line forever only to get to the pick-up counter and find out that you need to come back again in another hour. If you go to another pharmacy for a compound medication the pharmacist gets it ready while you are at the counter. But at Kaiser even with multiple pharmacists it takes them a few hours. If you somehow manage to reach the pharmacy via phone they don't even listen but transfer you to another automated thing. The customer service agents are rude! But i guess they know people that go to Kaiser don't have much of a choice so who cares! read more

This review is for Kaisers pharmacy system in general. I've been with Kaiser since high school and I'm middle aged now. I've had at least 8 surgeries that I can remember. Now I'm on a medicine that I have to pick up every seven days but I have to call 72 hours in advanced to refill it. Try trying to talk to someone via telephone at union city pharmacy. It's a joke. All you get is transferred to an operator through their Northern California call center. I was on hold 16 minutes before I gave up. It's poor customer service when your medicine says "zero refills. Call 72 hours in advance" and the "easy refill" line says you just picked it up Tuesday so no you can not request anymore. Like I said the meds have to be thrown out in seven days after opening! Why couldn't they just give me three bottles so I don't have to keep coming back. So now I'll have to go in person Monday after work, wait an hour to possibly get my medicine. Then go back in another seven day even though the medicine is good for 30 days if not opened. I'd give zero stars if I could. Although I've had other bad experiences, this is the first time I've shared. Sigh... read more

I hate it but for some meds that i can't get mailed in i have to suffer through this place. Meds are never ready and you find this as you go through the already long pick up line. you have to usually come back again and you are lucky if its ready by then. Compound meds at other pharmacy are easy to get. The pharmacist usually gets it ready as you are at the counter but apparently at Kaiser with multiple pharmacists.. It still takes an hour! I have had only good experiences with the Kaiser Pharmacies. Find them to be professional and helpful. However, beware of a scam which I experienced today. I call the toll free Kaiser number to refill my perscriptions, as I have done many times before. After receiveing the Kaiser recording a live person came on the line with a "special" offer of several free prepaid credit cards for sampling their products. After listing to a sales pitch, I agree to give it a try, still believing I was speaking with a representative from Kaiser. I was told I needed to pay $6.95 by credit or debit card. I gave the guy my credit information which was followed by additional questions which made me suspicious. I then told the guy that I wanted to cancel. He became argumentative and eventually hung up on me. A few minutes later I received a call back from a different guy who indicated that we must have been cut off. He was attempting to obtain more information and was also very argumentative. When I refused his demands, he too hung up on me. I believe calls which are made to the Kaiser pharmacey are being intercepted by some scammers. I verfied that the number I called was correct. However, when I recieved the call back, it was from a different number. I have reported this to Kaiser. I hope they take care of this problem. Be careful. read more
