I opted for the peppermint chocolate milk tea (Mr. Mint milk tea), 24 oz with boba. It was made in a short amount of time and had a double lid, with a heat sealed lid and snap on lid over that. Overall it was an enjoyable drink but I would have liked more minty flavor. It was hard to distinguish the mint and chocolate and tasted more like a generic sweetness. The boba was plentiful and decently chewy. Service was friendly and there was a sign at the counter saying if you sign up to be on their list they give you 10% your drink. Nice! The total for my drink with tax was a little over $5 which is not bad at all. Gotta love a good deal! If I'm in the area again I'd definitely come back for more drinks. Jei and Tate are always so friendly and have learned my name because I go there so often! They even have local music playing in the background which I think is a nice touch! This small business is absolutely amazing and I would recommend it to any individual craving to have their taste buds wowed by some island munchies! The two people inside were wearing masks and gloves and were incredibly friendly and helpful. The small truck was very clean and cool and well done. They have a million different flavor combinations and were happy to share their favorites and recommendations. Turns out, all of their syrups and flavors are homemade, you could definitely taste that! We got eight different iced, flavors and flavor combinations and everybody loved them. We sat in the shade of some tall trees in our camping chairs in the grass. Temperature was 90°, but somehow it felt like 75°, it was beautiful and the cool ice treats probably helped with that. The ice is very light and melts quickly in your mouth leaving just the fantastic flavors. You don't feel like you've eaten a bunch of sugar and you're not full, just refreshed. I definitely recommend Phoenix Phreeze. Even making it a regular thing, a tradition, trying different flavors and combinations. It feels like a family owned, caring, comfortable, "homey" experience. We had other specialized food trucks rotate in and out as many parents were there for a while on baseball nights, but Phoenix Phreeze was a nice consistent stop for many. They carry the essentials, hotdogs, chips, candy, sodas as well as other items like nachos. The one thing that always brought me to this stand was the shaved ice and all of the flavors to go along with it. Definition of shaved ice is exactly what I had in mind. The price is great and they pack the ice night and tight in one of 3 size cups. I like that they add the flavor so it's just the perfect amount and not leaving it too sugary sweet with the syrup coming through the bottom of the cup. Check your receipts and bank statements carefully before leaving this business!…read more I recently visited Neveria Chayos on Glendale &35th ave and noticed two major issues with how they calculate totals at checkout using their Clover system! #1 A Hidden Debit Card Fee: My printed receipt total was $44.25, but they manually inflated the checkout screen right before I swiped my debit card. My bank account was charged $45.25! Charging an un-itemized, hidden $1.00 fee on a debit card violates standard card network rules and federal regulations. #2 Inflated Sales Tax: They manually configured their register to charge a flat 10.0% sales tax on the receipt. In the City of Phoenix, the actual combined state, county, and city tax rate for restaurants/prepared food is 8.6%. They are artificially padding the tax line on every transaction. Watch the terminal screen closely when you pay here. I have already submitted formal compliance reports to the card networks and the Arizona Department of Revenue regarding these practices.
