I just tried Kalaveras for the first time tonight. It's my new favorite Mexican place. The Fajitas (trio) were fantastic. Great flavor, the chicken and steak were tender, and large portions. I'll get a couple lunches out of my left overs. And the soft serve Margaritas... OMG... Are the drink I didn't know I needed in my life. YUM! (It was the add on socials for those soft serve Margaritas that got me to try Kalaveras). Good service. Love the decor, and the patio seating.

I love me a good taco Tuesday. You can catch me here just about Every week. Such a good deal. Great vibe and excellent service always. All of their food is good. Complimentary chips and salsa pair so well with my strawberry margarita.

Great atmosphere! Great music playing and plenty of TV's. Came here to see the Mexico game and it was lively. The service was great our server was really nice, we didn't feel like we needed to leave, even though the game was delayed. The tacos were really good the meat was well seasoned. No notes!

Ambiance: Not my kind of artwork, but festive for a Mexican Restaurant. Service: Angie or server was nice & friendly, however she didn't keep our tables clean and free from empty plates. Food/Drinks: Guacamole/Salsa and chips to start was not bad (could use more salt). Food was mediocre, chicken tacos came out hot but immediately turned cold. Chicken and cheese tasted old, but the ENCHILADAS DE MOLE were better. PINA CON CHILE margarita was the BEST!! Unfortunately, I won't be back.

A great location with a great concept. I met a friend for lunch on a Wednesday and it was relatively empty. We got seated right away and had fast service. Chips and salsa came out and was very tasty. I got the Mi Madre Salad with carne asada and really enjoyed it. It was discounted for lunch yet so much steak and salad that I took some home because I couldn't finish it. Great food, decent prices, great selection. Can't go wrong here.

Great happy hour. I love the birria tacos and nice portion of buffalo wings. Crispy taquitos. The drinks are beautiful and full of flavor. I recommend the margarita flight! Very festive decor. Free flan on your birthday. Service is friendly and casual. Fun for girls night or celebrations:

Came to celebrate my friend's bday.. I had to try their albondiga soup.. she got the buffalo wings and wanted to load up on cocktails.. but it took 30 minutes to get our first round of cocktails.. service is friendly.. but so slow.. like molasses.. ambiance is really cool. Food.. well.. the wings are eh.. kinda small.. nothing spectacular there.. not feep fried or a crisp.. they use it the buffalo sauce straigh from a jar.. nothing unique done or worth trying again. Order the albondiga soup.. ive been here 45 minutes.. its not here.. 50 minutes later.. I just got my soup.. its essentially a tomato soup.. Campbell's latin cousin.. with chunks of tomato.. and 3 meatballs.m 2 were fused together.. I cant eat this.. tastes like tomato soup.m im no a fan of tomatoes .. id order something else but this took 40 minutes to arrive.. i rather buy a burger on the way home.. .bleh.. check please.. all done here.. i dont see myself coming back.. this is a place for loud boozing birthday shenanigans... Definitely loud for the fun youths.. Lord I asked for the check 10 minutes ago.. fml.. I just wanna go. Dont expect speedy service here.. I paid with cash she tried shorting me 20 dollars.. uhh no lady.. Your scowl deserves a zero dollar tip.. Nothing ruins a restaurant more that the RBF of your server

Really disappointed with our experience we came a little before 3. When there brunch ends and we knew exactly what we wanted. We asked if they were still doing bottomless mimosas and they said no. Which we were okay with but since they couldn't offer us that option we asked if it was possible to order a bottle of champagne with oj since they couldn't accommodate our bottomless mimosas even tho it was before 3 pm but they still wanted to charge for Oj. If brunch says it ends at 3 I think they should have honored that. Seeing that the restaurant was pretty empty. My husband also wanted either posole or menudo which is on the brunch menu and when we asked the server what soups they served she only gave us the option of albondigas soup. I felt like our server rushed us. All around it wasn't a good experience .

Amazing service ! Love Oscar he's so sweet ! Vibes are great with the music , love dancing to reggaeton during happy hour !

The ambiance and essence of the restaurant is amazing. The food is very authentic and fresh. We came in for happy hour and got the frozen marg, not very strong but tasty. The Birria tacos were delicious and flavorful. The carve asada fries a bit lack luster in comparison but the beef was very flavorful. Amazing salsa and guac. Would come back

Super cute place. Was close to our hotel and recommended by the front desk. The food was food. Wish the service was a little better, had to call people over to get napkins, drink refills, etc., but the staff were super kind.

The food was plain. Their salsa was hot and didn't taste good. The only thing was ok, was the rice. I got the chicken tacos and they were not good at all. The service was ok . I'm not going there again.

That is custom, that is tradition and for most it meant to inject fun into life. In my opinion, what maximizes the fun is when a person quips or puns using their custom as fodder for the joke. For instance, on one Halloween. I called my insurance and the person on the phone told me that she was dressed as cat. At the end of the conversation, I was meant to rate her and I said do not worry your service was "purrr-fect." How long have you been waiting to say that joke? She replied. Since the moment she told me she was cat. So when I played and partied with sailors and marines I expected for similar jokes to be made since, in a way, they were in uniform/customs. Like when, me and another civilian played pool with two Sailors they introduced themselves as Diane and Scott, not Officer Sampson and Officer Aguilera. Then we just played a regular game of pool. They did not say things like, prepare for the onslaught of seafaring sailors. So I did not get a chance to say I will sink your battleship as I perfectly aligned my eight ball to a corner pocket. Basically, they were civilians in uniform they were not sailors playing pool. Makes sense, they were sailors on leave so their sea related puns must have stayed on board their ship. Regardless, the party experience with sailors and marines was fire in the hole. And this bar is one of the central places where the sailor party can be felt because San Pedro welcomes them once a year during Fleet Week. It is common sense but Sailors and Marines spend their time locked up, in a ship, or in base, or somewhere else. So when they step to land, the goal must be clear: party with restrained abandon. And this hope encompasses all around, so it is hard to not become a party animal. Imagine that they are the moon, and all around are party-wolves. When they rise, so do the party time howls. I can see this bar becoming a draw for partiers for a weekend. Some people may never come to Crimsin for their cocktails but I hope they come here for the sailors and marines. During this past Fleet Week, I bought a beer for a Marine named Thomas. He also did not say my name is Hightower or Olson or MacDonald when I asked for his name. He still accepted the beer and said thank you for the support. So I may not march in a parade supporting Marines, but still Thomas made me feel like paying for a Marine's drink was showing support for the freedoms that the armed warriors of this country provide. Yes, I know I did not run the SSO but still I was thanked for my support for a Marine. In the grand scheme of things, I accept his gratitude and trust that he meant his words. On a previous Fleet Week, me and a sailor both ordered from a bartender. The bartender ignored me and tended to the sailor. Makes sense, he was the guest of honor. And the sailor treated my drink too. Mad respect. And I hope it is the high seas that taught him to show respect to another for not all wars are won with missiles and bayonets. So the moment not only affords the right to party but it also affords the right to witness the evolution of military culture and how it has arrived to hold people with good values, a good heart, and compassion in their actions.

I got barbecue pretty tasty and kept me thirsty. They have an amazing sound system and they have TouchTunes so that you can be the Dj in the bar. Like most French bistro they have a shorter but traditional menu, with the usual suspects - onion soup, pate, escargot, charcuterie board, mussels, steak frites, Bouillabaisse - but what drew us in was the duck confit cassoulet. We have eaten cassoulet in Carcasonne, the home of cassoulet, and this was definitely worthy of the name. Gamey, savoury, duck falling off the bone, beans swimming in an umami broth, definitely lip lickingly good. However the vegetarian cassoulet was not as flavourful, it was nice, but needed more garlic, pepper, some herbs or seasoning, a little more oomph. The fennel was delish, but the beans bordering on bland and there was very little broth to dip my baguette into. With a belly full of beans we decided to order dessert because why not! Life is short, eat dessert, c'est la vie. Creme brulee was creamy with a tappingly good sugar crust, and the chocolate mousse had a nice consistency but was overwhelmed by cinnamon, which was a pity. It was definitely worth the visit for the Duck cassoulet, and we will visit again to try the onion soup and moules.

Instead of apologizing or taking the time to verify the payment properly, I was treated like I was trying to avoid paying. RACIST to say the least !!!!!
