We purchased a brand new washer and dryer set from KAM Appliance, and the experience has been nothing short of awful. Within weeks of installation, the washer began leaking, causing water damage to the floors in our brand new home. ( not even the first service call for this brand new washer unfortunately). When we called for help, we were told the soonest service appointment was 19 days away -- unacceptable for a brand new appliance. On the day of that long-awaited appointment, KAM cancelled last minute and told us we'd need to wait another three-plus weeks. When we expressed concern, we were casually told to "just go to the laundromat" -- incredibly unhelpful and dismissive given the circumstances. To make matters worse, our dryer also arrived defective. The door doesn't close properly, and even more concerning, it continues running when the door is open -- a serious safety hazard with young children in the house. Despite multiple calls and promises of a supervisor follow-up, no one has ever called us back. We've received nothing but the runaround and zero accountability from KAM. For the price we paid and the trust we placed in them, the lack of urgency and care is beyond disappointing. We expected far better service from a local company -- but after this experience, we'll be taking our business elsewhere and warning others to do the same. read more

Likewise, our installer Carlos, who arrived as scheduled, was equally knowledgeable and helpful in outlining the features of the dishwasher and promptly completed the installation. I went in to order a wall oven and was referred to Diane Slater. First mistake! She was not Competent! After almost 3 hours she finally found what I thought was the right oven. After my "site survey" was complete I was charged for 2 ovens? I tried calling Kam several times and could not reach a live person! I even called Diane's cell phone to no avail! Finally after six months KAM agreed to give me a credit for my Thermador wine refrigerator that has not been working since May. I used the credit to purchase a SubZero beverage center from them. It took six frustrating months of ME calling KAM and Thermador to receive a credit for a wine refrigerator that was not working and Thermador agreed it was not repairable. Not once did I receive a return call but had to continue calling. I even went into KAM appliance in Hyannis and was told there was no management onsite to speak with!! A salesman, Chris Tavares heard us being very frustrated with the situation and came over to help. He alone was extremely helpful and professional in solving the issue within a week. The SubZero was delivered on November 6th by Aaron who was also very professional and courteous. The credit was about the cost of the SubZero so it was a basically a wash, except they charged me for delivery $300 again! I wouldn't recommend purchasing anything from KAM given their very poor customer service. read more

We had a routine service today, one of our burners on a GE Profile range was not spreading the flame evenly. Scheduling the appointment was courteous and easy over the phone. In fact, we received a call to have the time and date pushed closer, which was truly appreciated. Dave, the technician, called en route and gave us about 20 minutes heads up for an on-time arrival (which has not been the norm with other in-home appointments lately). Dave immediately diagnosed the problem and adjusted the gas flame flow in minutes. He then noticed the knobs were on the wrong stems, and swapped them correctly. Asked us if we had any questions- We recently replaced all appliances in the kitchen with Kam, and Dave walked us through each with a tutorial and even suggestions on use and maintenance. For the dishwasher, he cleaned the filter and recommended us to switch brands of cleaner. For the Refridgerator, he noticed the installation had the feet needing adjustment. I bought a refrigerator for a decent price. Unfortunately the delivery was a disaster. The delivery men did not shut off the water to the icemaker on the old refrigerator. Water was everywhere in the kitchen and then in a panic they ran downstairs and shut off every valve on the boiler and a hot water heater which not surprisingly did not affect the flow of cold water. They rudely about my tenant in a foreign language which she speaks. They then left in a rush and did not offer to help clean up the mess and did not reverse any of the valves they turned off in the boiler. I had to hire a plumber to reverse the mess. Most frustrating was when I called to complain I left two messages for manager and no one has returned my call. How disappointing for a business I bought several appliances from. I purchased all of my kitchen appliances at KAM's in Hyannis when I built my home almost 5 years ago. Beautiful appliances until this past June my oven stopped working. I had to wait from June to the end of August for KAM's service team to come out to my house to diagnose the problem. The steps the service man took are the same steps I took when the oven stopped working. The service man said it was the computer board in the oven that would need to be replaced. I called KAMs service two weeks later and I have called them every two weeks since and they keep saying that the part is on back order. I stopped by the Hyannis store at the beginning of December and spoke to a Salesman. He promised to make a couple of phone calls internally and that he would call me the next day with an update. I have not received a call back. In fact, NO One from KAMS has ever called me directly to discuss this problem. I called the Service Department yesterday, December 21st and the Service Manager Amelia, said the Salesman called and she placed a call to Jenn-air on December 13th and ordered the part and there is a 30 day turnaround. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I should have bought a Kenmore from Sears, in 35 years I have never had a problem with those appliances. read more

I had a scheduled refrigerator delivery and was to receive a call the day before to be given a two hour delivery window. When a didn't receive a call or text I called the Hyannis store and was told no delivery was scheduled by the saleswoman. I spoke to the saleswoman who was caught off guard when I asked why no delivery was scheduled. She proceeded to tell me how hectic her day was and she denied not scheduling the delivery and she could make delivery in about a week. No apologies so at that point I cancelled the order asked for a refund . I purchased the refrigerator from a reputable store in Yarmouth who was happy to get the order at a lower price. They asked me to "Do us a favor" and take delivery of a washer/dryer before I was ready, because their warehouse was full.... Like a good guy I said ok, you can store it in my garage because they said they would come back and install it once my remodel was done.... When the time came to install it due to venting issues I couldn't use the gas dryer and had to exchange it for an electric one. I was told the electric version was less than the gas model but wait! Now there's an $600 (THAT'S RIGHT SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR) restocking fee!!! Mind you the washer/dryer were in the original boxes and in the same spot their delivery men placed them in in my garage!!! I was livid and asked to speak to the owner and was told, "They don't work here and are unavailable." When their delivery men came to make the exchange their driver said,"They're must be some kind of mistake because my paperwork says they're charging you $600 to make the exchange." I said no, it's not a mistake. He said "I've never seen anything like this before, the boxes are right where we left them!" I'm telling everyone I know this story and refuse to do business with Kam even after using their products in multiple homes. I'll never use them again and you shouldn't either. read more

It took six months and filing a case in Small Claims court but I finally got a full refund and they even compensated me for the wasted cost of having a contractor install and then de-install the unit. Plus the amount I paid to file the court case. In the months I was hanging I purchased a new oven from another local store, no problems there, it actually works. The rest of my kitchen upgrade plans are on hold until this supply chain business is resolved. Would I go back to Kam? Well, not the Hanover store for sure. DO NOT buy your appliances from KAM. In our experience, they significantly upsold and/or sold us items we did not need. They refuse to accept returns on "custom" items even though they told us we needed them. There is also nothing "custom" about the items. They are high end appliances in high demand. After many phone calls, they said they would accept the brand new unopened items with a 30% restocking fee (which we can only assume is to save their commission). They did not place the order correctly which resulted in significant delays. We are currently still waiting for items ordered in June of 2022. They failed to call us when our items arrived at the store resulting in additional delays. They are HORRIBLE. The WORST company we have ever dealt with. GO anywhere else. i went to Kam in Hanover in 2017 and asked Mr Gardner for the best washer and dryer. He said Electrolux. It thought I bought the top of the line. $700 has been spent on repairing the washer. $225 has been spent on the dryer. When Kam delivered these appliances, the hot water was installed to the cold faucet and the cold was installed to the hot! Two washer control panels have been installed and billed. Two defective lint filters have been installed and billed. Now the fabric and bleach dispensers are not working. Kam uses a third party company to deliver and set up Electrolux The steam unit in the dryer flooded the dryer. I would not be surprised if Kam bought remanufactured Electrolux products and sold them as new. Kam does not support its customers. I have purchased 4 appliances from KAM in the past year. A new washer and dryer, a new refrigerator and a new dishwasher. A year later I noticed my dryer that I purchased is steaming up the bathroom (room it's in) every time it's running. I look inside the vent and notice that the whole ventilation system is not even connected. What bothers me the most is that paid extra for them to have it vented left rear as they said it normally comes right rear. I called them and they said it's out of warranty and therefore would be $125 to come out and "find out the problem" and then more to fix it from there. I tried to explain that this was an issue with the install and had nothing to do with warranty. I ended up fixing this myself and saved the money and time. The problem was that there is supposed to be a screw holding down the vent pipe, there is even a predrilled hole already there, but they never put one in. I like to support local businesses and have spent a lot of money there to support them, but apparently they don't appreciate that. Sorry, but a company that will not stand behind their work is not a company I can support any longer. read more

We are first time buyers and Kam appliances. We bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2016 along with the 5 year service contract. We have made multiple calls for issues. We have been waiting for parts since June for our ice maker(after multiple service visits on this issue) Service is slow. Now we have a refrigerator that has stopped working and are being told that there is no emergency service and Kam cannot come for 2.5 weeks!!! This is typical service you can expect from Kam. I recommend going to Home Depot or Lowes to purchase your appliances. At least they have a working service department. We will not purchase at Kam again. Thanks for your response Sarah but your missing the point. This is a NEW issue. The refrigerator is not running and we are being to by Amelia that Kam does not have emergency service and cannot send anyone for another 2.5 weeks. This has nothing to do with the pandemic or parts. Very poor customer service. I ordered a frig in September. They delivered the wrong frig and committed to ordering the correct frig. I waited months and finally gave up and ordered from someone else. It was delivered in 4 days. Kam told me they would pick up the wrong frig at their convenience and then it took me 4 phone calls to get credited for the frig. I was selling the refrigerator in my home I Called the warehouse one day and was told my refrigerator was in and I could have it delivered within the next two day,I said OK deliver it on Friday. I called the people who bought my refrigerator and had them remove it on Thursday night to save the delivery guys the trouble of having To remove the refrigerator Well Friday came and no refrigerator was delivered. I called KAM appliance and they told me my refrigerator was not even in the warehouse. I was told a lie by some young man when I called the warehouse. So now I'm without a refrigerator. I got a cam appliance the next day they were extremely rude they told me they could get me a loaner. Then they tell me they have no loaners available. My only option they offered was to take the floor model LG refrigerator. I believe it was last November 2021 when my refrigerator shut off and needed a new panel. They replaced the panel for no charge. As they should. Yes a good pot last spring this past spring I hear a banging crashing sound the whole inside of my refrigerator from the draws on down to the lodge slide out draw collapsed. You will see in the pictures. I complain to KAM appliance an LG. I reported KAM appliance to the Better Business Bureau. Whom ever answered the complaint I put in to the Better Business Bureau from Kim appliance they lied outright lied and the Better Business Bureau excepted it. They told the Better Business Bureau that I received a brand new refrigerator out of the box. Even if the refrigerator was under warranty warranty does not cover the inside that is considered cosmetic. Till this day my problem is not solved and I would like you to see the pictures please save yourself time money and aggravation. We purchased 2 high end grills 3 years ago. One was delivered to our cape house and assembled improperly. After several phone calls, the sales person finally came over himself and "jimmy rigged" it with the wrong hardware. The second was delivered to our primary residence off cape. The delivery people (who were a bit sketchy looking to begin with), delivered it with a broken wheel (I think they may have broken it) - I managed to catch them as they scurried off and they told me to just call the company and someone would come out and fix it. I have called umpteen times over the past 3 years and I finally just gave up. They never showed, never followed up, we EVEN called the sales person again to get him involved and nothing. My husband went this week to the Kam store in Hyannis to yet again, try and get the wheel fixed. They called and said they'd be happy to order a wheel and would only charge us labor and trip charge of $125. For something THEY broke ON DELIVERY 3 years ago. I am now planning a total kitchen renovation for my cape house. I will be calling Yale Appliance - I don't even care if it costs me more $$ and a delivery fee! The drawer door won't open properly and the food in the freezer is ruined with ice forming on everything. Also the microwave is too big for the cabinet opening.
