when we went to the store with our list of makes and models, the salesman kept insisting that the model didn't exist. this happened with all 4 of the appliances. when I showed him the appliance on my iPhone he would find it then he didn't want to print out the full specs now after 9 months the bosch fridge is broken. they wouldn't come to fix it for 6 days and then decided to come at the one time when we can't be here although we told them that was a time we couldn't be here don't buy from these people Sarah R reply is totally fabricated We were offered nothing but Friday We said we were not home on Friday PM When they called they gave us Friday between 2 and 4 even tho that is the time we said we would not be home They in no way tried to accommodate us. Needed a service call for a dishwasher purchased in October 2017. I was annoyed that a repair might be needed so soon, although it was still under warranty. Scheduling a service call took five minutes. Two repairmen showed early the next morning. Turns out an object (small chicken bone) slipped past the filter and hung up the pump motor. The filter screen was likely not re-fastened down properly (wife's fault - she'll never read this). So user error. They found the problem quickly and showed me how to check for similar trouble in the future. Good guys - took maybe 15 minutes. read more

Ice maker in my Frigidaire stopped working and KAM has been called out for repair. They've come 4 times, I have paid over $600 and the ice maker still doesn't work. KAM's solution? Pay them another $118.25 to replace a part that was installed in August because it was 62 days from installation, and they only cover for 60. It has been really disappointing because previously we automatically went to KAM for any appliance need. Today I needed a new washing machine and I bought local, but went elsewhere. I recently bought a GE profile suite at Kam Nantucket. It could not have been easier . All arrived on time and old appliance removed , which is important in Nantucket . We had a problem with the dishwasher and I made a service call , in 4 day James the technician came to check it out . He was very knowledgeable about detergents and care and then started his test kit . The heating coil would not heat . After thinking about ordering a new part he check one last thing , the heating coal was not plugged in ! Bingo . Purchased a $12,000 fridge that was hooked up to a line I told the installer was bad. $ days after instal, when I saw the small lake in the middle of my kitchen, I called KAM. The installer called me screaming at me. Scary. KAM has given me every run around possible and won't correct the problem. They put me on the schedule, then took me off without notice. A Samsung refrigerator we purchased from KAM in 2015 has been broken since June 2021. The KAM service person on June 18 advised us it is due to a design flaw that that Samsung has been aware of for several years. The fix is apparently a kit that can be installed in a few minutes. We are now in our third month of waiting for that kit with repair dates repeatedly postponed and now scheduled for late September. Well the sales department was good, they knew their products and the service techs are Also pretty good. However, we bought a, not cheap, package and in less than a year every single piece has broken down with the microwave needing 3 service calls, the dishwasher 2 and the refrigerator 2 and the range. The biggest problem is that each service call takes months to resolve meaning 4 weeks or more with a broken or inoperative appliance. Right now we have been waiting for a part for the oven and the microwave since August. I have made 5 calls and 1 visit to speak with a manager and have never received a call back. We now have appliances that have fallen off warranty while waiting for parts but still not repaired! As much as it is difficult at best to have a kitchen full of brand new appliances that are inoperative it is worse to have a company that seeems to care less about the customer once the sale is made. If you are looking to buy appliances i would not recommend this company only because of the extremely poor, no the non- existent, post sale customer service After My initial post Sara got back to me right away and a manager came out to talk to me. He seemed genuinely horrified at our experience and the number of issues we had. He assured Me that they would Do what it takes to make sure we had all Of our appliances fixed regardless of warrantee status. I purchased a brand new Speed Queen washer and dryer stackable the was delivered on July7,2021. The dryer broke within 2 weeks with an error message of n5. They are not taking any service calls at this time so we are left hanging. They do not stand by what they sell. I recently purchased a kitchen appliance from the store in Hyannis. Like most appliances it was back ordered. The issue came when the expected delivery date passed by a couple weeks and no one from the store reached out to tell me about the change in delivery date. I had to call a number of times but they never proactively reached out to me on the status of the order even when it was weeks past the stated delivery date When the appliance was delivered there was minor damage to it which should've been caught at the warehouse but wasn't. I filed a claim it took a week to respond to tell me that they would order the part which would come in hopefully a week after that but it will be 7 to 8 weeks for a service person to come out and fix it. Again I had to call them to confirm that the part was ordered and to schedule the repair even though the part has been ordered a week ago and they knew it's delivery date date. Their price was consistent with other appliance stores and the salesman was knowledgeable about the product. We bought an oven, grill, and microwave. A few days before delivery of the items we were told the grill was damaged and would not be delivered. On the day of the delivery the oven and microwave showed up and the oven had its side bashed in. That is our experience with KAM. Not good. Buyer Beware. Ask about service support when you make your purchase. I bought a refrigerator in June 2020; delivery was haphazard and the delivery team was rude and unprofessional. The refrigerator is now not working and they cannot supply a repair person until September 18; service call was placed earlier this week and they need 3 weeks to send a repair person ? No available appointments for 5 weeks!!!! Repair guy was very nice but they sent him with the wrong part. Front load washer and dryer has had multiple repairs within 1st 5 years and taken them weeks and weeks to repair. We have bought all of our appliances from KAM over the last 22 years. Not anymore. Our Bosch washer has broken down for the fourth time since we bought it from KAM. It was an expensive stackable washer/drier set, but it never seemed to work as efficiently as it should have. Recently, the washer malfunctioned again. It took a month to get an appointment for a service call through KAM, although with a flexible work schedule, I could have taken any appointment on any day. The service representatives are not at all friendly or accommodating either, basically telling me if I didn't like the wait, I could go elsewhere for service. I should have. I also found it strange that during Covid, a KAM service appointment consists of a brief diagnostic visit by a tech and then another appointment/appointments at a later date to actually fix the appliance. Two or more potential exposures to Covid instead of one made no sense to me. In addition, the service call is very expensive: $125.00 just to get the tech to your house, and then another $45.00 for his diagnostic. That's before the cost of any parts and the actual repair occur (eventually, our repair quote from KAM was over $700 -- no, thank you). When the tech finally showed up later than scheduled on a Friday afternoon, he refused to remove his boots before entering our house (we have a high risk individual under our roof), and then reluctantly put booties over his boots. He has here for 20 minutes and said, "It's not the belt. It's the motor. It will be very expensive. Someone will be in touch." He hightailed it out of the house. Minutes later, I found the damage he had done to our walls and ceiling (see photos), most likely from the heavy tool belt he wore around his waist (although I don't know how he was able to damage the ceiling). I reported the damage to KAM who asked me to send photos and a description of the damage. The service rep promised me that they would "make good on the damage." Weeks have gone by, with no word from KAM. All I was asking for was for them to reimburse us for the paint we need to buy. Steer clear of KAM for your appliance needs, and especially for any kind of repair. Patronize a local appliance store, like Terry's in Harwich, and you will be much happier. read more

I'm not sure why I keep going back to this place. After 1 1/2 years of waiting and calling to get my ice maker fixed it was finally repaired. Since it was 1 1/2 years and past the warranty they decided to send me a bill. Thankfully after several calls they agreed not to charge me for something that should have been fixed 18 months earlier. Two weeks ago the fan on the same Refrigerator gave way and we called the service department. They came out that day and said they needed to order a part. Purchased a refrigerator in July 2018. There was a $75 rebate for htis frig. I filled out the paperwork and the rebate never came. I contact KAM in October and they told me to be patient. Michael Tremblay suggested I re submit the paperwork and I did. Still nothing. In December I contacted David Murray, a manager to help me out. It was resubmitted again and then I was informed that the rebate had expired so I was out of luck. I asked KAM to stand behind their rebates and pay me the $75. My wife and I purchased a washer and dryer on July 30th after purchasing a dish washer 2 weeks earlier. The washer and dryer were originally connected by a KAM plumber. The dryer was done incorrectly. I called the KAM salesman back and he sent out his "team" to fix it. Two men came out on Aug 17th and were the most obnoxious individuals. It started off by them asking me why I didn't "fix it myself". It went completely "downhill" from there. I told the "main guy" he had an attitude and I didn't know why. After they were done, I called KAM and told them that they had come but he specifically said he didn't know if it would work or not and the circumstances involved. A Brian (salesman) told me that he would try to get someone else out or he would come himself. That was 2 weeks ago and we haven't seen or heard from KAM since. End result, looks like we need to get a private plumber to come out and make sure the work was done properly which we will require DOUBLE PAYMENT. Extremely unnecessary! read more

The most horrible company we had to deal with. We bought all the kitchen appliances from them at the Hyannis store in January 2021. After changing the delivery date many times they delivered most of our appliances in March, and of course they damaged the fridge, and microwave only worked for a week. They did not have our stove, soo they gave us many other delivery dates, and we waited patiently (because of COVID issues with inventory). So today 05/22/2021 they assured us that the stove was going to be deliver between noon and 2PM. We called at 2 they said our truck is a little late, so at 4PM they called us saying that our stove was not in the truck??? What a BS company, unprofessional company. Horrible, horrible, horrible. We waisted another whole day waiting for them. Now after disconnecting our old range, removal of the plug and moving outside (like they recommended) , we are now told Monday they will be in touch. My husband and I went to Kam upon our contractor's suggestion..We wanted to purchase numerous appliances, a complete kitchen suite - fridge,stove,dish washer,and microwave.We also needed to purchase a washer and dryer. Unfortunately, we had the rudest, most abrupt,and condescending sales woman ( don't know her name ) I have ever dealt with. From the first moment she approached us, by the washer & dryer, she was rude.We said hello, told her we were looking for a kitchen suite, and before we could continue she rudely said "then what are you doing over here?" We told her we also wanted a washer & dryer, but that's when her rudeness kicked into high gear. We asked questions and she curtly responded with eye rolls, arms folded and quick abrupt answers. She she was obviously irked with everything we said. She raced through the isle so quickly, obviously impatient ,to show us what we requested.At one point, while looking at two different microwaves, I asked what the difference was. She answered a "a hundred bucks." We said we saw that, but was talking about performance,etc. She impatiently said,"well do you want to spend an extra hundred bucks?" She was rude when we asked about fridge size ("You know, we can't have everything in the store!") Rude again when we asked if all the appliances we wanted came in slate. This sales woman treated us as if we were idiots.It was most horrible shopping experience I have ever had.When we finally spoke up(loudly) and were leaving, the manager,Sarah, did approach us and apologize. Although Sarah was lovely it was too late. Honestly ,there are many other places to buy appliances and we will never return and would never recommend Kam to anyone. We also called our contractor, explained our experience, and he was appalled. He said he will never send his customers there in the future. STAY AWAY FROM KAM!!! Not worth the horrible customer service, and anything they carry can be purchased elsewhere, usually at a lower cost and sold by polite and customer-sensitive sales people to boot. Awful customer service. I purchased a brand new Bosch dishwasher from KAM. I had previously owned a Bosch and it was very quiet. From the first wash cycle of this new dishwasher until present day, it has made a loud grinding noise. The noise was so loud it can be heard upstairs. I filmed the noise with my phone and sent it to the customer service. After 3 tech visits that didn't fix the noise, I requested a new dishwasher to replace the faulty one. So this required a 4th house visit from a KAM service tech. I was informed it would be taken care of and Bosch would replace it. After several weeks of no news from KAM, I called to inquire. I was told there was no progress and it was up to me to contact Bosch and deal with it myself. Joan, the service rep out of Sagamore, was incredibly rude. I am appalled with the lack of accountability on KAM's part and the awful treatment I have received from their customer service. After taking 4 days off from work to be home for the 4 service techs, I am still stuck with this broken dishwasher. read more

Terrible experience with KAM Bought an ice maker in May of 2017 water pump let go in August 2018 was told that warranty was 1 year. Called distributor they told me ice maker had 3 year warranty. Made appointment for KAM to replace it under the warranty, KAM service department was not pleasant to work with over replaces the water pump under the warranty. Made appointment for replacement to be installed. I live an hour away from home where it had to be replaced and was told to be at the home between 8:30-9:00 that I was second on the days schedule. Day of installation I was told there were two people ahead of me that I had to wait, After I had driven an hour to be there with the timeline they had given me. They know the market and what it has to offer; they took time to research all the appliance options for us; and they clearly explained the differences between brands and between models of the same brand. I heard during the phone calls how it wasn't entered in their system correctly...like I could do something about that. I think all the sales people are men. I must say that I am completely disappointed with the service department at KAM Appliance. My wife and I purchased a newly built home and had all of our appliances furnished through KAM. The purchase and delivery of the appliances went seamlessly. However about 4 1/2 months into owning the refrigerator the temperature control died. I understand that it is not the fault of the appliance store that it malfunctioned but their handling of the problem to date has been horrible. They came to the service call and determined the problem. Keep in mind that we had to wait 2 weeks for them to initially come to diagnose the problem. The technician left and informed us that a part needed to be ordered and they would call us ASAP once the part is in and they would set up a new appointment to fix the appliance. We waited and waited and we are now going on 2 months since the problem was first reported. I called again and miraculously there was a part to fix our problem in a distributor's warehouse in another state. The part is being sent via FedEx to the store and a new appointment has been set up to repair the appliance. Seems kind of fishy to me that the part was not in for 6 weeks, but when I call and make a stink about it they find a part and it is being FedEx right away. Hopefully this works and and thank you very much KAM Appliance for leaving me with a broken refrigerator for 2 months!! Very disappointed with KAM.....purchased a refrigerator and warranty plan. I just assumed because I have seen KAM trucks on the highway that they had their own local service department. Then when I had a problem was informed that I had to call a 1-800 number in Dallas Tx for service and they could see me in a FEW WEEKS..as my food was melting. KAM sells high end appliances and in our experience, they have no idea of how to service them. We outfitted a newly renovated kitchen with appliances from KAM. Every single unit has had a problem. Problem after problem, service call after service call and never a single follow up from KAM. They do not stand behind their products and will not work with the manufacturers on behalf of their customers. Customer service is clearly not their focus. We bought all new stainless kitchen appliances and also a floor model dryer from KAM. We ended up getting a great Presidents Day deal and also our salesman printed out rebate forms for us, making it very easy to submit. Delivery came when scheduled and the delivery guys were friendly, they took away our old appliances and put in the new. Only problem was our broiler didn't work, BUT KAM sent someone out the next day to repair. I would do business again with KAM again and would recommend. read more

Terrible service. Expensive and extremely slow. Called on a Friday but first time they could see us to repair a 4 year old dishwasher was 5 days. They then postponed that twice, so it became 8 days later which was a Saturday. Service guy looked at it for literally only 5 minutes and declared we would need a part he did not have and which he could not order since the parts department was closed then. Charge for that visit was $125. Following his instructions we called the parts department on Monday 2 days later and got the part ordered, for $425. They would not tell us when it would come in nor give us a provisional appointment for the install. On Thursday they told us they now had the part but the earliest appointment they then could give us for the install was in 9 days. So the best we can hope for is that they will not do what they did the last two times, and actually show up as scheduled. They will then charge another minimum service call of $125. At best it will have taken 22 days and $675 to repair the service board on a $750 dishwasher. And that assumes they will show up as promised and that the diagnosis was correct. Ron is a great salesman. He heard out my needs and helped me find what I wanted and needed. He met the best price I could find online without being asked to do so. My only concern so far is that I had to call them the day before delivery to find out when they were coming. I didn't get a call that week as promised. Also, they arrived early for the 12-2 window. I noticed on the form that the window was actually 10-12, so they gave me the wrong window on the phone. Thank goodness I was home! Could have been a great opportunity for the hard sell to upgrade to a much more expensive fridge, but instead got a no nonsense discussion about the pros and cons of various models.
