The place is small and quaint with some small tables and bar stools on a counter. They specialize in Gyu Kotsu, Beef Bone Ramen. Our server suggested the #1 Beef Ramen. I ordered a combo that came with a small ramen and I added a half egg. The broth was thick and the beef was melt in my mouth delicious. Wild Beast Ramen was the best ramen I have ever had EVER, even in Japan this would be a ten out of ten+ , the homemade kimchi was better than any kimchi I've ever had. I recommend this place over any Ramen restaurant on Island. I can't say enough about how much this ramen tasted better than a grilled steak and eating the kimchi every other bite refreshed the pallet , so every bite was out of this world. After a busy morning shopping at Ward we decided to stop by Kamitoku for a lunch break. There was no wait at 11:30 on a weekday and we were immediately seated in the small, cozy restaurant. Service is friendly and attentive, the workers were kind enough to let us store our baby stroller in the back while we ate. The lunch special combos are a great deal and come with your choice of ramen and appetizer. The Seabura ramen was creamy and filling featuring big chunks of fatty meat, an egg, and thick noodles. We tried the Chasiu Bowl and the Beef Sui Gyoza appetizers and both were delicious! This ramen place was the perfect meal on the last day of the Kona low rain. We arrived at 5:15 p.m. on a Thursday and there were only a few people in the restaurant. The soup and meat were super flavorful, and the ramen bowl as a whole was the perfect comforting meal after a full day. The service was fast and although there were a few parties ahead of us on the waiting list, we were seated in a short amount of time. This is one of my top go-to places for ramen. The ramen is so tasty! The specialize in beef broths and my favorite is the seabura. That one has these little chunks of beef fat that just melt in your mouth. The ramen here are pretty rich and heavy - great if you want something hearty but might not be good if you want something lighter. The appetizers generally taste okay - not the best I've had. But they do have a wide selection in case you're not feeling ramen. The location is super convenient at Ward and there's lots of parking in their structure. Based on previous reviews I went with the Seabura ramen and added an extra slice of brisket. It arrived quick with broth separated from fixins. My nephew recommend this place for lunch. I ordered the seabura ramen and my spouse had the beefy wild beast ramen. I found both of the broths good. I did prefer the creaminess of the beefy wild beast broth to mines. The noodles and beef were cooked perfectly. The broth had a nice fatty taste. Our family decided to take Grandma out on a field trip to get lunch. She loves ramen so we stopped here to get her ramen fix. The restaurant is quite small and a little hard to navigate through for someone like grandma, who uses a walker. We looked through the menu and everything sounded so good. Kamitoku used to be in shirokiya village walk a while back. One of the few if not only gyukotsu (beef bone) ramen spots. The broth is creamy AF and is rich. Get the beefy wild if you dunno what you like. They use sun noodles for their ramen noodle. The interior is trendy, small kine hipster. Service is pretty good. Service was a little slow today, but the food delivered per usual. Kamitoku is one of my favorite ramen spots with their creamy beef broth. I've learned over time that my flavor palette is attracted to the creamy, savory broths over the lighter broths - even ones I'd experienced at some of the highest rated ramen shops in Tokyo. No disrespect to them, but just a personal preference. I tend to switch between three choices: the beefy wild, seabura (Seh-ah-boo-rla), and if we're feeling extra hungry, we'll share the beefy king bowl. Recently, I've felt like the servings have gotten smaller. Sometimes I crave just a little bit more noodles because I devoure them all in 4-5 bites - or so it seems. The good thing is, that empty space in my stomach is filled with some of the best broth in town and I walk out with JUST enough to feel satisfied. I recommend this place to any and all ramen lovers. Just be prepared to wait a bit to get seated, put your orders in, and actually get your food. We had a fantastic time at Kamitoku Ramen with a group of 10. I managed to get a same-day reservation by calling ahead; the staff was honest about not making any promises but did a great job accommodating us all together, despite my willingness to split tables. The 18% gratuity added for our large group was expected, but it didn't dampen our experience. Most of us ordered the Beefy Wild, which remains my favourite ramen. For some of our friends who were trying Kamitoku Ramen for the first time, it quickly became a new favourite. Three people from our group went for the Beefy King, which was enormous--loaded with noodles, meat, chicken karaage, and bean sprouts. This dish is definitely meant for sharing and could easily feed 2-3 people. Unfortunately, halfway through my husband's Beefy King, he found a metal piece from what seemed to be a scrubber pad in his ramen. We flagged it to the waitress, who promptly gave him a free drink, which was a nice gesture, though we were mainly concerned about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Thankfully, my husband was mixing his noodles, so he avoided eating it. Service was solid; we waited around 8-10 minutes for our food, which was well worth it. Been meaning to try this place out since trying and loving their hotpot restaurant. Its a different vibe in here, tightly packed and busy. My s/o and I are pretty small so the little table stalls didn't bother us but any larger person might want to wait for one of the normal size tables to open up. Could be a bit of an issue around the dinner rush as it was getting busy, and a queue was forming outside. Service was fine, no complaints. I got the tsukemen, which is the dipping ramen with a concentrated soup base. I can't remember the name of the dish my gf got, but it had the beefy marina broth. We also got a ginger tofu and spicy menma since we wanted something a little fresh to go with that super rich beef broth. As expected, the broth was sooo flavorful and rich. Borderline too salty--even for tsukemen, but I shook off a bit of the sauce and still enjoyed it greatly. The charsiu and bits of meat in the broth were also insanely tender and tasty. It did take a bit to get our ramen and by then we had finished our tofu and most of our menma, which may have helped cut that richness a bit. I do really think I would have enjoyed it a bit more with some extra veg--that could be why I still prefer the hotpot slightly more. The portions werent huge either, especially the appetizers, and I ended up getting an extra half-serving of noodles to finish up my meal. Wow! My first time trying gyukotsu (beef bone broth) ramen at Kamitoku was a great experience. They've been serving gyukotsu ramen since 1949, and apparently it's still very popular at their OG location in Japan. Beefy Wild Ramen: super tender beef! The beef bones are pressure-cooked, resulting in a creamy umami broth. It's lighter than pork bone broth, which I appreciate Beefy Yuzu Ramen: slightly sweeter than expected but still delicious. I got the beefy wild and she got another beef noodle. When I tell you the beef was so tough we couldn't even bite through it, I wish it was an exaggeration. One of our favorites places to get ramen!!! So authentic and service is amazing! Our server, Tiffany, was super helpful - our kids accidentally dropped the water cups twice and she was super sweet about it! She cleaned up the water mess and even shared how she's used to the kids coming in from Kid City indoor playground and that kids make mistakes - she totally made me feel comfortable about the whole situation (I felt badly about it!). Our other server, Sean, was also nice and honest. I asked his opinion about ordering one kids meal (small ramen with choice of topping like corn that comes with two pieces of chicken and a toy!) would be enough for two small kids (5yo and 3yo), and he said it would be enough and it certainly was the perfect amount for my kids!
