This ramen place provides good service and quality ramen. The table service is better than most restaurants in Ala Moana Center. The pork broth was tasty and the meal was satisfying. The name of the restaurant doesn't quite match the quality here. I think it is underrated because of that. If you want to escape the crowds, this is good place to come for a meal.
My 3rd time visit Ringer Hut. Went there for dinner at 5pm on Sunday. It was melt and I got seated right away. Place still clean but the utensils was not really clean. I asked for the spoon but it was not clean. I ordered the Katsu-Don and Spicy Miso Ramen. Katsu-Don: the tonkatsu was sooooo dry and tough. No flavor and so hard to bite. It's not good at all. Spicy Miso Ramen: the 2 pieces of pork belly were sooooo dry as well. The boiling egg was cold. The noodles was too chewy. I don't think I will go back again. For these prices, I can go to other places. Hopefully they'll hv some improvements.
Ordered a udon and gyoza and a tonkatsu donburi with a side order of 3 piece shrimp tempura. The udon was not hot, just luke warm, the broth was more on the sweet side. The tonkatsu in the donburi was tough. The restaurant was clean. Service was ok. Didn't get a greeting . Waters just plopped on the table and asked if we were ready to order. Food came out quickly, maybe that's why the udon was just Luke warm . Not sure if we would go back

There are plenty of seats available, although some are just wooden benches, which can be a bit uncomfortable. We ordered the Nagasaki Sara Udon. It came with lots of vegetables, which made it feel healthy, but we were hoping for a bit more depth of flavor and umami. A few days later, we noticed that we were charged $2 more than the tip we had written on the receipt. It may have been a simple mistake, but we hope it was not intentional.
I think Ringer hut was great. Nothing too special, I'd say it's your stereotypical ramen shop in Ala Moana. The rice sets were great! The ramen having corn in it was a bit odd for me. But the Takoyaki was my favorite order today. The servers were nice and accommodating when I asked to make my ramen extra spicy!
My family and I meet up with some friends for lunch at...RINGER HUT located in the Ala Moana Shopping Center ground level Mauka (mountain side) near Brug Bakery. It is a very nice, clean and spacious atmosphere. For me, the service fell short. When we first walked in, we were greeted and sat right away. That was good. However, The servers weren't very friendly or attentive to us. Some of us waited quite awhile for our food to come out and there was no update on the delay of our food. Even though my food was brought out late, it did taste yummy. I ordered the chicken oyaku don buri. The portion was generous and filling. My family and friends enjoyed their dishes as well.
I used to go to Ringer Hut in the Bay Area. I liked the tonkatsu that they served way back. It was a really enjoyable meal. With fond memories I was happy to find they were in Ala Moana. I was finally able to go and I get a tasty lunch for a decent price. I enjoyed the donburi and they have a nice selection of beers. Things have changed since long ago in the Bay Area, but this is still an enjoyable meal.
I visited Ringer Hut for Dinner on Sunday. We arrived around 5:30pm and the restaurant was fairly empty, but filled up pretty quickly around 6:00pm. We got the Edamame, Karamaro Champon with a side of Shrimp Tempura, and the Tonkatsu and Chicken Katsu Set Meal. Everything tasted great. The chili oil and vinegar served with the Champon worked really well with it. However, the bottom of the Tonkatsu was soggy since it was sitting directly on the serving plate. Since this restaurant is located in Ala Moana, there is ample parking. Overall, I was very satisfied with the meal and will definitely be coming back in the future.
This is one of my favorite places in the Ala Moana Center. It's on the ground floor with plenty of mall parking in front. The staff greets you as you walk in. They're very friendly and accommodating with a choice of seating. The restaurant is very clean and modern and the view in the kitchen also looks the same. We had the Special Udon, Karaage Set, and Nagasaki Saraudon. We did a little substitute with couple of our dishes and they were very accommodating. The soup base is very flavorful and the rest of the food is amazingly tasty and fresh. This is my first review but I've been here several times and always consistently good.

The restaurant itself is well-lit, spacious, and feels pretty clean. We have been able to be seated each time we have walked in, but the restaurant has not been empty any time we have been. The service is quick and the people working there are efficient. The menu has a good number of options, with some combos available too. I like the tantanmen so I have gotten that each time. It is tasty, a good portion, and consistent each time I have had it. It is about $16, which does not feel crazy but also does not really feel like a deal either. Friends have gotten other ramen dishes and have liked them, and the tempura. We'll be back again!

At first, they were really attentive by taking our orders and giving us our waters. Also it didn't take too long for us to get our order. We ordered the Katsu Curry, Side order of Chicken Karaage and the Katsudon. Everything tasted delicious and had great flavor. Very similar to what you'd get at any other Japanese run restaurant. However, I was super impressed by the Chicken Karaage. I wasn't expecting the side order to have that many pieces and to be so juicy, crispy, and packed with flavor! It went well with the curry which was more on the spicy and savory side. Once we got our food, it took a bit to get our check. But overall, I would come back again.
I wasn't expecting Ringer Hut to be this good! We got the Katsu Donburi, Spicy Miso Ramen, and Nagasaki Saraudon. All of the dishes came out piping hot and were delicious! The Katsu Donburi reminded me of classic ones I've had at Japanese restaurants, and the Saraudon is so unique. We also got some gyoza and yakimeshi, which were great add-ons for our already filling meals. The best part was how affordable these large portions were. Vibe: The staff is so hard working and nice. Service is fast and I would definitely come back! There are lots of tables in the restaurant and a bathroom near the kitchen. Parking: Ala Moana Center has a large free parking lot, making it easy to come to Ringer Hut.
I was so excited to try this spot when we stumbled upon it. Had the Nagasaki Sarudon for $17.50 and it was just okay. It had a lot of veggies on top which I loved but it was cooked with too much corn starch. Hubby had the katsudon $17.50 and although it had great flavor, it had too much broth with it that it drenched the rice and almost made it soupy. The inside is very clean and the servers were wonderful. Unfortunately, it won't be one of the good spots o would come back to when I'm at Ala Moana.
SOOOO TASTY! ABSOLUTE AFFORDABLE FOR GREAT QUALITY! Service is always pleasant as they greet you at the door and despite being busy, they never rush you. Ambiance is very family friendly and they're always playing anime music so you know you can live your lofi ramen shop dream. I normally order the Double tonkatsu but thought the tempura would be a good switch up and it WAS!!! -Tempura Donburi -Spicy Miso with extra noodle/extra kakuni -Spicy tan tan with extra noodle The Kakuni is sooooo soft and just melts in your mouth! read more

The food was yummy! I got the Special Saraudon (okonomiyaki style) I really like okonomiyaki so this was perfect for me, it had all the right flavors or a really good okonomiyaki with their own twist. My gf got the Spicy Champon, it really wasn't spicy to us so the provided chilli oil on the table hit the spot. A really good Champon, which is what they are known for. It was just the right amount of salty, good flavor and savoryness. We also got the spicy gyoza but I forgot to take a picture before we ate them . Again it wasn't spicy for us lol but was very good taste wise. Overall good tastes, and the service and ambiance was on point, tables were spread apart just enough, very homey. If you like spicy and order the spicy items I recommend to feel out the spicy and add the chilli oil as you need. read more

Food: good taste, big portion size, plenty vegetables. Service: the two servers were nice :) Atmosphere: new, spacious, quiet compared to the food court. Give this place a try, I think it carried a bad grade from when they were inside the food court, but totally improved. read more

Ringer hut is a huge chain in Japan and I was pleased to see them in Hawaii. From Nagasaki to Honolulu Ringer Hut brings Japanese-Chinese noodles to Hawaii. The style of noodles is either crispy or soft with a thick broth that coats pretty much everything. I however, gravitate more towards the traditional Japanese style Ramen noodles. The broth is so savory yet not salty at all. Their pork Kunkuni is amazing! The fat from the pork is rendered perfectly and the meat practically dissolves in your mouth. Service is impeccable and lots of parking being in, Ala Moana shopping center. read more

Reasonably priced, clean, tasty, nicely decorated, a/c, and a sit down restaurant - Ringer Hut is one of the best places in Ala Moana Center to grab a quick bite. Specializing in champon, Ringer Hut also has udon, ramen, rice bowls, katsu, curry, and gyoza for sale (some with cheese and toppings). The udon was good, a chewy, medium thick noodle with a clear broth. Added a fried gyoza side and that was a winner. Also got the chicken karaage appetizer and that was not to be missed. The chicken pieces were gigantic but still moist and tasy inside while the outside was crispy and not too salty. Would return again just for those. read more
Delicious food, good service, & clean and bright ambiance! My bf & I went to Ringer around 1:00pm & the restaurant was pretty full. We were seated right away & our food came within 15 minutes. I tried the spicy karamaro champon ramen & my bf tried the niku udon. We both really enjoyed our meals & we're saying how we'd definitely go back soon. Prices are super decent too, so if you're ever at Ala Moana & need a quick bite, I would highly recommend Ringer Hut! read more

My parents LOVE ringer hut and will actively go there just for the selection of Coedo beers, which you have to ask for the "secret menu" for. They have a great selection of ramen, rice sets, and appetizers, and very fast service, meaning we can often sit our family of 5 with no wait at all. It is located in the mall, so parking is as one would expect. Not a whole lot of foot traffic considering how good the food is, but definitely a steady crowd that flows through. Service is fast and good, and we always enjoy being able to look into the open window into their kitchen to spy on all the delicious things coming out. read more
I absolutely LOVE Ringer Hut , especially following its transition from the Food Court to a dedicated restaurant space within Ala Moana, conveniently located near Marshalls. This upgrade has significantly enhanced the dining experience, offering a more comfortable and inviting atmosphere. My preferred selection includes the spicy Nagasaki champon, saraudon, fried rice, and karaage chicken. If you are at Ala Moana, please go visit them! This is a nice fast casual place to eat at Ala Moana. We been here twice so far. It is an easy going atmosphere and the the service is nice a quick. They have alot of food options. I got the tonkatsu special one time and it was a spot on. I am sure we will be coming here alot more. read more
Both times I've eaten here were within an hour of them closing but the staff are always really nice and friendly. The inside is nicely lit and the interior is very cozy. Both visits I've ordered the same things for my boyfriend and I, the Special Udon and the Chicken Katsu Curry. Both are so good and filling. The Special Udon has a variety of toppings but the mochi, seasoned tofu skin, and thin beef really stand out for me! Not to forget that it also has two pieces of shrimp tempura. The chicken katsu is a good classic as well if you're not feeling noodles and soup. read more

My mom & I went there for the first time on Monday the 27 of April. The service is great and the food is amazing delicious. I have katsu donburi and my mom have tonkatsu & karaage set. I would definitely recommend to have Japanese food. read more
We ordered the tempura udon and curry udon. The udon was alright but they were pretty small. I think a man would definitely be hungry afterwards. There were 3 Skinny shrimp for the tempura, also a little bit of wakame. The curry for the curry udon was not very flavorful, maybe because it seemed diluted with a cornstarch thickener. Only 2 pieces of kamaboko came with this bowl. Left disappointed and still hungry. Oh well. read more
Ramen was pretty good, (skinny straight noodles like somen), toppings I had was aburage but sweet like cone sushi, big block of mochi that was toasted and so soft inside with I think beef brisket meat. Clean, sweet ladies helping us and food came out fast. Gyoza was really good! read more
This is the second time my girlfriend and I dined here for lunch! Be sure to check if they offer a coupon! The first time we came, the coupon offered a free gift. This time we got free 6 pieces of gyoza if you spend at least $15. They also had a special $17.99 for Tendon: 3 pieces of shrimp tempura with a fish cake tempura, potato, green pepper, etc. Very generous serving that I could not finish! This is also served with Miso Soup. Ringer Hut is a nice and clean restaurant with its own bathroom! It is located on the street level, Mauka, of Ala Moana Shopping center next to Jeans Warehouse! I enjoy coming here because it's quiet and they have my favorites tonkatsu and shrimp tempura. It's clean, well kept and affordable. The servers are fast and the food comes out quickly. It's a nice go to place when you don't want a big noisy restaurant or to sit in the food court. read more
I haven't actually been able to try champon at other places so I don't really know how to compare this to other places. I did appreciate how the Nagasaki Champon had a ton of vegetables. The broth tasted very clean and it wasn't heavy at all - very light. Noodles were thicker but I enjoyed it and was cooked well. I thought this place was pretty decent, I would like to come back and try different items. From my understanding champon is the Japanese food for sumo wrestlers when they train for competition - like that was their diet. I mean I can kind of see it - I'm glad this place shrank it down to a smaller size so it's able to eaten in one sitting LOL read more
We came in on Monday around 2pm and they weren't very busy. They are located in Ala Moana Shopping Center on level 1 of the Ewa Wing. The interior is spacious with lots of seating. Staff are friendly but not very efficient. We were served quickly but never had our waters refilled. Also as the food came out empty plates were not removed from the table to make room for new items. Food is okay. The chicken Karaage are huge (didn't get a pic) but not very flavorful. The broths of both the Champon and Ramen were absolutely delicious but the noodles were so starchy that I wasn't able to take more than a bite. The curry was good, nothing amazing and you get a small amount of protein with it. The tempura was excellent! Favorite dish by far, it was light, crisp, and not oily at all. The takoyaki was good and had a nice amount of octopus in it. The gyoza was good but I didn't love topping, next time I would try a different flavor. Overall not something I would go out of my way to get again but if I were in the area I would go back for the tempura. read more

Here is my story: Meeting a couple friends of mine and Ringer Hut was the selection of place to dine. (This turned out to my be first visit EVER to Ringer Hut) We got there before the noon hour and without surprise got pushed and rushed to give them our order (it was like order, eat and go please). It's okay as I understand their wanting to turn the tables as this place as I understand usually has a waiting list. Food came, we ate, patrons came and went... we finally left around 2 pm... LOL they didn't rush us out even if they rushed us to order. We had fried gyoza, Kaki Udon, Miso Ramen and Shoyu Ramen. Yup! It was a ramen kind of day. Broth good and hearty. Gyoza okay.... Would I return? YUP read more

Good Japanese food located at the Ewa Mauka first floor of Ala Moana Shopping Center near Lupicia Tea and Brug bakery. Great tonkatsu/chicken katsu combo teishoku that added a fresh green salad to the meal as well! We got a 5 piece karaage chicken appetizer that was so large, we took it home for later. Others ordered udon that looked pretty good. This is a good restaurant that would get more foot traffic in a different location. Try it for a sit down meal or just order take out. On a week night, there is plenty of parking in the area and the vibe is mellow. Very clean too. read more

For a guy who goes to Japan half a dozen times a year and always look for tasty food when I am there, I find this place a pleasant surprise! I tried: Karamaro Champon Sara Udon Both were very good. The Sara Udon was very crunchy and both dishes were tasty. I was in Nagasaki in summer and too bad I didn't get to try these dishes and I am glad I got a second chance when away from Japan. Highly recommended! read more
We usually visit Ringer Hut for lunch when shopping at Ala Moana Shopping Center. I usually order the Hokkaido style crispy noodles. Today, I ordered the hot ramen style. Omg, it was so good....lots of taste, generous amount of noodles, lots of veggies. It had shoyu pork and two shrimp as well. This is my new favorite, hearty and warming. The service is fast and friendly. The ambience is like a typical ramen shop slightly noisy, but not too loud. The only complaint i have being a disabled senior, the center tables have chairs that slip on the floor, a bit scary and unstable. The bench seats against the wall is more stable. Still tho, this restaurant is are go to for lunch. read more
