It's strange the things you start craving when you're stuck inside and can't just run to the store. On Friday, after a really long week, I was craving doughnuts. This Kane's location is fantastic, right off of route one. They are closing now around three so works out great if you can sneak out a bit early (also, barely any traffic now so Rt 1 is a breeze). I ordered online and they had a good selection left around 1:30. I tried the mini (and by mini they mean huge) coffee roll, the creme brulee, maple bacon and honey glazed. I am addicted to the honey glazed. So light and fluffy and sweet. All four doughnuts were so good. Creme brulee was very unique. As I said, ordered online and just went to the drive-thru to pick up - no need to go in at all although that looked like an option. Wow! The donuts were quite excellent. With my family, we split honey dipped glazed, cinnamon, and creme brûlée donuts. They all tasted so good, and were fresh. Although the donuts were a little expensive, it made sense, because they were huge! Considering the fact that it was a busy Saturday morning, the service was pretty quick and friendly. The only reason I can't give this place five stars is because the iced coffee wasn't that impressive, it was a little watered down, and the caramel didn't make it much better. The yeast donuts from Kane's are amazing. The recent ones they put out with Sam Adams beer incredible. Favorite donuts in the state.

The "donuts" are truck tires, the coffee is brown water, the counter can't be bothered. I only gave two because the donuts are tasty, though overpriced. read more

Today was my first time coming to Kane's Donuts. I came here with my mom, stepfather and my 4 year old niece and we drove here from Hull. When we arrived, it about 4:50pm, just a few minutes before closing time, when all the doors are locked and customers were still inside. My parents were trying to get an employees attention when after a couple minutes an employee opens a door and says he only has two options of donuts, chocolate and cinnamon I believe he said. He wouldn't my family and I in to get any donuts. How did he know if we wanted coffee or not? Poor first experience. I don't think I'll be coming back, but my mom and stepfather can come again if they please. And to boot, I have a service dog, he probably wouldn't even let me in if we did go in. I have epilepsy and my dog needs to be with me at all times. Please talk to your employees about improving your customer service. It doesn't matter what we came for. Donuts, coffee, pastries, whatever, they should be good to their customers at all times. Thankfully it wasn't 32 degrees outside. read more

I have been eating at Kane's donuts before this location has opened. I love the donuts and coffee. Previously when ordering a half dozen of donuts or under they have given the donuts in a paper bag. Today I went and they were giving PLASTIC containers for individual donuts or if you ordered two donuts!!!! Why would they switch from the paper bag! Have they not heard about the pollution that plastic causes. When they tried to hand me one I politely denied and just took it on a napkin! I couldn't believe the waste. It is difficult to get into the parking lot, and to the drive-thru. Set up of the building where it's located is incredibly awkward. I'm not sure why anybody would spend so much money on a beautiful build out without being easily accessible. Unfortunately I have to continue to go to Dunkin Donuts right next door because it's super easy what a let-down read more

Drove in an hour and they were out of gluten free doughnuts at 1:15 pm but they're open til 5 pm. I don't think you should say you have GF doughnuts & not even have one in the freezer. I came with few people who were not GF. The only thing I could have was coffee and a no bread egg " sandwich". Just FYI: The sodas all had sugar . Just because doughnuts have sugar doesn't mean you want the extra sugar in your drink. They had bottled water. read more

Kanes has good donuts but TERRIBLE customer service at this location. Two sunday mornings in a row I've come for donuts with my family- they have one guy filling orders while 2-5 ppl stand at the registers doing nothing. I waited 7 min to get one donut. The young kid filling orders is kind - I feel bad for him. He does his best while his co workers stand around. read more

I went to drive through at 5:10am on a Monday, and waited for 10 minutes before the person inside even acknowledged me, I said, " hello" numerous times at the speaker, (like it says to ) and NOTHING! Finally, she answered. Received the donuts and left, when we got home and ate them , the plain was not cooked through, and the honey dipped was far from being fresh. :( I went again this Monday, because all stores have off days, and said' " hello" into the speaker once again numerous times , even though we could see 2 people inside watching us! and was greeted by. " HEY YOU CANT DO THAT! YOU HAVE TO BE QUIET WHEN SPEAKING! NOW SAY GOOD MORNING NICELY!" Where did this man get his customer skills? Not as good as the other Saugus location. Usually go here for convenience but they just decided to raise their prices even higher out of the blue. Now 3.00 for a regular donut and 3.50 for gluten free. It's hit or miss at this location either the donut is fresh or it tastes completely stale. read more

Yesterday I want to Kane's donuts and it was the best experience I ever had from the past 20 years of my life going to Kane's. The Location on route 1 is very beautiful and filled with the best employee's I have ever seen in my life. Even though it was very busy all of the staff were able to take very good care of their customers. I seen the two boys and the girl running the donut section and they were the best. $3.00 for a donut and $3.50 for a gluten free donut, 15.00 for a coffee roll, $1.95 for a 10 oz. coffee. even though i can afford it, i would never consider giving those prices to anyone, especially when the counter help all have an attitude !! p.s. dunkin is right next door. read more

Great donuts. Been there a few times since the new locale opened. Donuts are delicious. The only reason i did not give it 5 stars is that their regular hot coffee is terrible. Definitely recommend to go there. $30 a dozen is a high price but you can taste the difference from all other donut shops. read more

Very disappointed. I was so excited to see what all the hype was about and try the legendary Kanes donuts. When I arrived at their new location in Saugus I was impressed with how clean and modern the store looked. Once inside I was surprised to see a very limited selection of donuts. The older women that served us seemed to be annoyed to be working there and rushed us along even though there wasn't any line. She didn't smile once and answered questions with a simple yes or no. We were there at 9:30am and had 3 donuts. 1 old fashioned butter crunch, and two glazed. The donuts looked good but once we took a bite they were dry and tasted like stale day old donuts. Wow! It's 9:30am folks... the donuts should taste fresh! I do give them credit on the coffee. That was really good. I really wanted to like this place and if they can expand their selection of donuts, keep them fresh and impress upon the one specific employee that customers matter and it's ok to smile, I will give them another chance and upgrade my review. But for now, I'm heading over to the Dunkin' Donuts next door! read more
