I'm relatively new to georgia so most of the places I visit are by myself. So with that being said, this place is a bit intimidating to go to alone. Why ? Because 1. the restaurant has its name in just korean. So I was not even sure what it was called till I got my bill which had its name in English on it. 2. The menu is mostly in korean it does have an English translation but the section tiles don't. That resulted in me guessing that i was ordering a main dish and not an appetizer or something else. So with that out the way down to the food! The food is great! The love the side dishes each has a good flavor to it . Wow! I think that's a great intro here. It is in a mainly Asian business sector of Suwanee and the food is, to quote someone, Out of Bounds! Had Soondae Guk and it was every bit of awesomeness blood sausage, soft bone and veggies! Yes, you can say I am crazy but in all fairness, man was it good... Menu caters principally to Korean crowd and English translations are poor at best. If you do visit, come with someone who has some experience with Korean food for the best experience and avoiding the faux pas of ordering something like Soondae Guk your first time, unless of course you like that sort of thing like me. Pretty good. I didn't even bother looking at their menu. They have their "specials" right on the table hanging above the salt. Seolungtang for $7.99 Wooguji kalbitang for $7.99 Gamjatang $7.99...so on Definitely a more Korean friendly restaurant, although I saw a couple of American people. (Waitress seemed proficient in English) The food is more traditional Korean. Seolungtang is a bone broth soup that's milky. It comes with thin rice white noodles and pieces of beef. Their soup came with a lot of beef for $7.99. Their banchan selection was nothing out of ordinary, I really like the seaweed one which I haven't seen in other Korean restaurants. I don't really like their gakdoogi (radish kimchi). I like mine really sweet, which probably older Korean population wouldn't like. Came here for the first time for their bone broth. (seollungtang) I don't usually eat soupy Korean food but my friend wanted it so I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised!!! It was sooooo good! The broth was nice and hot and flavorful. Also, you can season it with salt, green onions, kimchee, whatever your heart desires. What a fabulous meal! Coming off a trip from Jamaica resort-icky food, our family needed fresh and fabulous! We found it here. I'm admittedly not a Korean food expert, and the menu had very little English description, so I went the safe route with fried rice with octopus and a spicy red paste sauce. How I feel when I walk through the doors of a restaurant is very important to me. When I entered the restaurant, there was no one behind the counter. I waited for about 5 minutes until someone from the restaurant spoke a single word to me. I was simply there to pick up a couple of oxtail soups. My to-go order had been sitting on a bench by the door just waiting for me to pick it up (there were multiple orders waiting to be picked up so I didn't know which was mine and I still had to pay). -1 star The soup is very simple but I was disappointed to discover that the noodles (which come pretty standard in this soup) is only provided upon request. (A) Leaving noodles out of the soup in an attempt to save a couple of bucks affects the way I view the way the kitchen is managed. (B) If you are going to make something like this optional instead of standard, at least ask people when they call to order - this affects the way I view the way the floor is managed. -1 star The side dishes were, to be kind, pretty pathetic. We got some broccoli, kimchi that was not ready to be served, another type of kimchi, and some pickled radish. Needless to say, we didn't really eat any of it (well, we picked at the broccoli). -1 star I'm not sure if I'll ever order from this place again. I'm not sure if I can recommend this place to anyone. Maybe we just had a bad experience. We'll probably give it one more shot somewhere down the road but I am definitely not gonna hold my breath until that day comes. read more

I decided to stop here for lunch and was glad I did. I tried the beef ribs and bulgogi. They came out sizzling hot and super yummy. The side dishes and rice were good too. My only slight issue was that I got hot tea and they put it in plastic glasses. I don't like drinking hot beverages out of plastic. I almost forgot to mention that the service was fantastic and checked on us just enough times, so I didn't feel like I was left alone. This restaurant is located in a shopping mall next to hmart, right besides umaido and cafe mozart. I usually have seol lung tang (most popular soup they are known for) and fish+daen jang jji gae ( traditional korean soup). Both dishes are okay but I would say seol lung tamg is my favorite. read more

I'm extremely disappointed in the service at this restaurant. I want to give 0 stars but that's unfortunately not an option. From the start, the server lady was rude. I'm not saying I expect a smile or anything, but the way she spoke to us was clipped and rude. It was very offputting, but I assumed that was because she was busy and couldn't care less what we ordered as long as we ordered quickly. Fine. Knowing a bit about the food industry myself, I let that one slide. Then my dad and I wait for 15 mins, with just water, for which I had to get a straw for MYSELF because no one would get me a straw for 15 mins. We asked the server lady if we could get our side dishes, and she said wait a little longer. So we did. NOTHING came out. Not even the straw I asked for half an hour ago. (Thank God I had the sense to get it myself). So we asked her two more times, each time her telling us to wait she's busy. So I get up and ask the kitchen. The kitchen server lady is just as rude and tells me she'll be with me in a minute. She never got back to me. By then, my dad and I were starving, upset, and appalled at the terrible service and attitude of this place. We'd been here before but it was never this bad. In the end, we ended up leaving after 45 mins of nothing. Side dishes are served within 10-15 mins of being seated BEFORE the main course arrives. Servers are supposed to be accommodating and pleasant to customers not rude and dismissive. If you are too busy, then stop taking in more customers when you cant even treat your original customers correctly, or hire more workers. Today was ridiculous and I hope people who read this put their time and money to a better restaurant. read more

This was the most disgusting encounter I have ever had at an eating establishment. My dad and I ordered the "soondae guk". This soup has Korean sausage and meat in a broth. The taste was good and I had no complaints other than the slow service in the beginning. However, I found what seems to be a tooth in my soup towards the end of my meal. I had no idea if it was a human beings tooth or an animals. The waitress was shocked but by that time I had already stopped eating out of disgust. I just wanted to get out of there as fast as possible. I can honestly say this place doesn't even deserve a 1 star and needs to be thoroughly investigated by a health inspector. My first Korean experience; I was not let down by the welcoming staff, and solid atmosphere. The menu is in Korean, but is broken down into English. You order the main dish, and it comes with roughly 7 sides, miso soup, and excellent rice. The chopsticks are stainless steel, and very clean. I got the A20, Spicy Pan Fried Pork. It came out sizzling hot on their cast iron skillet, and was perfectly flavored, tender, and mixed with the right amount of fried vegetables, my guess is onions.
