Tried the jajangmyun and tangsuyuk. They're both decent, and the portions were huge. I thought the jajangmyun was a little plain. Those are two of my favorite korean dishes, and I've definitely had better ones elsewhere (in Beltsville, MD and the Lotte close by). I'm not sure if I'm just spoiled with really good jajangmyun and tangsuyuk or if the dishes here were just okay. I do like how their tangsuyuk came with salad (cabbage and katsu sauce). Nothing remarkable except the service was a little slow. That's something I've learned to expect when going to asian restaurants. The food is okay but the service is the reason for the one star. First visit: we ordered the food and everyone got theirs except my dad. When we asked about the food they said it was still being prepared which was not true because we saw 5 of the same orders go out 10min after all of our food came out. If they messed up they should have just said it instead of telling us it was on the way having us wait another 20 min. I loved this place. The food was awesome and great portion sizes for the price. The location is not prime and is sort of tucked away in a plaza in Centreville but inside was relatively well taken care of. Servers were quick with food and checking up on us but paying was a bit time consuming. Really awesome food though and that completely makes up for the wait time to pay the bill. read more

I've come here several times for lunch. They tend to get very busy around lunch time but they do have enough settings since they expanded. I usually get the Sam Sun Jjam Bbong. Spicy Seafood Noodles. I usually get the seafood bowl, a dollar extra, because I thought the regular would not have seafood. But I just found out recently that the regular Jjam being also has lots of seafood and the only thing it doesn't have is the sea cucumber. So I'd just get the regular Jjam being if you're not a big fan of sea cucumber. Their portions are huge for sure, but I'm not so sure about the consistency of the quality. Sometime the soup is very spicy to me, and I can eat spicy. Other time it tastes like mild. My friends and i went there on Sunday night for dinner without a reservation. when we arrived, the restaurant was packed, however they were able to seat us with in 15 minutes. Since this is a family restaurant, you can expect loud kids. We ordered three dishes to share among four of us. Huge portions for the price. Best jjajangmyun place in the DMV area. Apparently if you go during the weekdays, they provide free appetizer of mussels! My favorite here is the GGangPoongKi. It's VERY GOOD. The chicken is of very good quality and the service here is impeccable. Waitresses and other staff come around to see if everything is okay with the food, and are always very nice.
