I was expecting a richer chocolate flavor, a better balance with the coffee, and the subtle heat that was advertised, but it completely missed the mark. The shop itself is very small, and in my opinion, having a DJ in a coffee shop doesn't create the right atmosphere. The music was so loud that it made it difficult to have a conversation or even communicate with the staff. On top of that, my drink was handed to me with noticeable spills, which wasn't a great first impression. The food was actually what attracted me to this place because of all the positive reviews. However, when I ordered the avocado toast, I was told it would take about 20 minutes. For a coffee shop with more than five employees working at the time, I found that wait to be unreasonable, so I decided not to order. I've visited dozens of coffee shops throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, so I have plenty of experiences to compare with. Unfortunately, this one did not meet my expectations in terms of quality, service, or atmosphere. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. The cashier was very polite, welcoming, and greeted me with a genuine smile.
