Wife and I went to this place for lunch on a Friday and it was quiet. We ordered 2 sushi and sashimi bento and their food was fresh and good portioned. Really nice cuts of fish and they even gave us few samples of their sushi and roll and they were great. We will try their dinner or hibachi next time and see if they are just as good. Service was fast and friendly and interior was clean and modern. I highly recommend their lunch during the weedays. read more

I tried this place tonight.. It was soo disappointing:( expensive and very poor quality. Nothing about it was even half decent. Worse sushi / hibachi experience weve ever had.. The fried rice with the hibachi was just salty & hardly any vegetables. The rolls were really loose and hard to eat. The sushi all came ousted in soy sauce and really loose rice. When the server asked if we were ready for the check, I informed her we didnt get out whole order and to remove it from our check, instead they brought it out to bill us for it. I hated that I spent $150 on trash food.. The location is nice but this restaurant is pure crap.. If I could give zero stars I would.. Worse $150 ever spent on food.. read more

I've had several dishes but they really won me over because I absolutely love spicy food and their Spicy Chicken Teriyaki is the real deal. This is a fantastic, off the beaten path sushi place. The portions were a healthy size and delicious. We had the Ahi Tower and the Crazy Ex-girlfriend roll. It was enough for two. Being BYOB really helps keep cost down if you are out on the town. I don't recommend bringing kids. There was a "happy" baby there when we were and the echoing was way too much for that environment. We've been here twice, and the first time it was great. Good service, good food, just like the other reviews mentioned, which is why we decided to come back on Valentine's Day. We waited ONE hour to get our food, that was 1.5 hours after we arrived for our 7:30 reservation. After a 45 minute wait with no service, I had to flag down a waiter to check on our order. By the time the food arrived, the rolls were falling apart because the rice was too soft. The rolls were also very uneven. Realize they were too busy to keep up, but disappointed it ruined our night. We have always been amazed by the quality of Sushi available in Dallas. We once frequented Awaji in Plano (NIB) and Bluefish where we raised our 5 kids on Sushi. When we returned to Dallas from a 10 year hiatus to Chicago, our son took us to Kanzi. We have been blown away by the staff and food. We've ordered off the menu and we've special ordered. From the time you walk in to the store you can feel the sincerity of the staff who welcome each guests with open arms. The food is spectacular and it's always fresh. Each rolls have its own unique features that can win over your heart in a blink of a second. Each dish is prepped with such precision that the visual of the dish speaks for it self. If your not a sushi fan don't worry because you can order hibachi or a different varieties of entrees from the kitchen. Another reason why I really enjoy Kanzi is its originality, and the quality of the food. It is splendid and you won't know until you try out for your self. Great local sushi place - we just moved to the area and so glad there is delicious sushi nearby. Place was cool. We like how close this is to our house so that alone gets it a star from me. The Cook was extremely friendly to our kids and entertained them to the max. The waitress seemed off that night or sort of out of it, not what I was expecting. I hope that it was just an off night for them. Food was good, not out of this world but not horrible either. Absolutely the worst sushi and sashimi I have had in my entire life!! The fish felt like it had been frozen. Not fresh at all and was very smelly. They do not place wasabi inside the sushi. I don't know if they forgot to put in or if that's their thing but I have never had a sushi without wasabi inside. Also one other weird thing was that they put some kind of seasoning (seems like black pepper) on top of salmon and yellowtail. Who the F put that much seasoning on top of the sushi? They are trying to hide unfreshness of the fish they serve. DO NOT waste of your time and money. I rather go to Chinese buffet to eat sushi than this place.
