What a cool concept! Love how you can get great coffee in the morning and delicious cocktails in the evening. A really great place to meet up with friends any time of day!

I've really enjoyed all of my visits to Karajillo both in the day for coffee and in the evening for cocktails. My first visit I ordered a dulce de leche latte and my friend got the picante mocha. The baristas/bartenders were really nice but the layout of the seating is oddly tight and hard to get into. As a result when bringing our drinks out the barista accidentally spilled some of my drink on the floor and table and had to come back and clean it up. My next visit I got the piloncillo latte which I really enjoyed and had a sweet and toffee-like flavor from the brown sugar cane. While I'm a diehard iced coffee fan, in my opinion, all the drinks were better hot than iced. The cocktails were really good. I tried the Karajillo with a K and the vespera. The Karajillo with a K had a good coffee taste, not super spirit forward, with a flavorful banana foam. A great dessert-like cocktail. The vespera was on the other spectrum. A bright, spritzy and refreshing fruity cocktail with a bit of a kick. Start with this, finish with the Karajillo! Overall, I love the hours of this place! I love that there's somewhere you can grab a nice latte after 5pm. Definitely stop by for either coffee or cocktails if you have a chance!

Love the concept of a coffee and cocktail bar. Haven't tried the coffee yet so I can't speak to that. I really enjoy the small curated menu. The mocktails and cocktails are delicious. The vibe is cute; the space is small so feels intimate. Would recommend if you want a cute place to grab a drink or two.

Wonderful homey coffee shop with a vibrant bar like atmosphere. Staff is super friendly and even made me a chai (which wasn't on the menu) and it was delicious! We had also stumbled upon loteria night which was described as Mexican bingo. Fun game to learn, pay attention! Really good drinks, nice spot as an aperitif post dinner or to get some work done. Glad we stopped in here before our show.

Possible new addition to the menu - their version of White Russian. Delicious

A new venture from Chef Sergio of LaCondesa and Toro Bravo. Holds up to his standards. Opens at 7 am for great morning coffees. Stay open until 11 pm or midnight depending on the night for unique coffee cocktails. The space is simple and open. A bar with about 8-10 seats and a half a dozen tables. The menu consists of its coffee drinks, cocktails, wine list and snack page. 7 am to midnight Karajillo has you covered. My visit was 3 pm on a Friday, nice and quiet before to weekend crowd started. The Leche Clara was a great surprise. I was expecting a cocktail like a latte. It had no milk yet had that creamy taste. I enjoyed it. But the El Viejon also caught my eye, so I tried it too. This bourbon based cocktail had cacao butter and cascara de cafe, a great afternoon cocktail or brunch cocktail. The bartender was playing with a new possible addition to the menu- their version of a White Russian. Wow, one of my favorite cocktails. I hope this one makes the next menu. It was more than devine, made with a cold brew, it had a much deeper, richer flavor than a traditional White Russian. I will absolutely be back. There's more pages to sample. Limited street parking since it's downtown. I walked, it's more accessible that way. There's a parking ramp across the street that's also available.

I've been wanting to try this place since it opened a few months back and finally made it in. It has the most perfect ambiance to sit and relax with a Cocktail or one of their specialty Coffees. For this visit, we were here for Coffee. I had the Mexican Piloncillo Latte and my daughter had the Dulce de Leche Latte. Both were great!! I also learned that all syrups are house-made, which is something that I always look for and hours are 7a to 11p (Midnight on the weekend). Who's ever tried to find coffee late at night? Me..... I loved it here!!

Super friendly service, the barista welcomed me in and gave me the low down on the morning drinks being served. I went with the Piloncillo latte and of course the pineapple matcha. The latte was yummy, not too sweet but with a hint of smokiness from the raw piloncillo sugar. The barista said they make their syrups in house and you can definitely tell. My matcha was ceremonial grade and had more of a piña colada flavor which made me dream of summertime. It is only served iced which is understandable, I don't think the flavor would translate well served hot but it would be nice to have a hot matcha option on the menu to order in cold months. Fun place to have coffee, plenty of seating and chill music being played. Will be back for the mocha (and NA beer) next!

Love this place! Shea and Elijah are so good at their craft. The place is beautiful and has plenty of lounge sitting. My favorite drink was the maiz y sol. Very different to anything I've try before.

Came here on a Saturday morning around 8am, and it was lovely to choose a table and seat right next to the window before it became busy. They serve latino-inspired coffees (and alcohol drinks in the evening!); I had a latte made with piloncillo that I quite enjoyed! The barista made the recommendation, and he was really friendly from hello to goodbye. I like the warm, clean decor, and it's nice to have a new coffeeshop option downtown.

Good coffee in a great location. The aesthetic is beyond beautiful with service to match. A must try is the Dulce De Leche Latte. They have pastries from a local bakery which is a city favorite. The staff is always friendly and the restroom is cute and kept extremely clean. Would definitely recommend to come check out.

I love a good local coffee shop find and when I heard there was a new local place nearby I needed to check them out. It's conveniently located downtown off Sierra St. they are open at 7, they currently don't have any hours listed for closing time. As soon as you walk in and take the steps up to the coffee shop you'll Greeted my Eric. He's friendly and can make a recommendation if you want one. I wanted to try the Mexican Piloncollo Latte which is considered one of their specialties. The best way I can describe Piloncillo is like a Mexican version of brown sugar that gives off a Carmel like taste. To be honest I was expecting a little bit more of the caramel taste with the latte, don't get me wrong it does taste amazing I was just hoping the flavor would stand out. I would definitely go back and hang out there while enjoying my coffee. They have the cutest seating area surrounded by windows and a quiet work environment as well. I can't wait to go back and try different drinks.

I've been wanting to try out this place since they opened, and I'm glad I was able to today. This is both a coffee shop and a bar, and they are currently working on a food program. I got a white chocolate mocha and it was delicious. Not too sweet and very flavorful. The space is beautifully designed. It's a very comforting and relaxed vibe. You can sit at the bar, but they also have couches and some other high top chairs. There was a decent amount of people in there relaxing and some working. The barista/bartender was super nice and knowledgeable of the different coffee options. This is a great spot that is a wonderful addition to downtown.

The vibe, the service, the food/coffee were top shelf. Karajillo is one of the best coffee shops I have ever been to, anywhere in the world.

From the…read moremoment you walk in, the space sets the tone with a modern industrial design, warm wood accents, soft lighting, and an open, airy layout that invites you to slow down and stay awhile. The long tables lined with bottles feel almost like a curated gallery, and the garage-style doors let in natural light that makes the whole place feel alive without being loud or overwhelming. What really stands out is how intentional everything feels, especially the wine list. It is handwritten on a large chalkboard, which gives it a relaxed, neighborhood vibe, but the selection is thoughtful and globally inspired. You will find a mix of Old World staples and boutique producers alongside well-chosen California options. The list includes everything from crisp Picpoul and Bordeaux Blanc blends to approachable Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with more unique offerings like Loire Valley blends and Spanish varietals that show they are not just playing it safe. The pricing is another highlight. Most glasses land in the $9 to $15 range, which feels more than fair for the quality. They even offer a carafe option, about two and a half glasses, which is perfect for sharing and encourages you to settle in and enjoy the experience rather than rush through it. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in a wine bar. It is relaxed, conversational, and effortlessly refined. It is the kind of place where you can catch up with friends, go on a date, or simply unwind and end up staying longer than you planned. What truly made our visit exceptional was our server, Kate. She went above and beyond in every way. She was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the wines, and genuinely warm in her approach. She made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at the right moments, and created an experience that felt personal rather than transactional. It is clear she cares about what she does, and it made a great environment feel even better. Black Rock Wine Co is not trying too hard, and that is exactly why it works. It is curated, welcoming, and just the right level of elevated. We will absolutely be back.

Brunch is all day on Sundays however they do have a lunch menu starting at 12pm, so we ordered from each menu. The ahi nachos were great, thick pieces of tuna and a great sauce drizzled over. When we arrived, every table was full, so we grabbed seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great spot to watch the bartenders create beautiful drinks, including some of their signature cocktails served in a glass purse for parties of two or more. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with groups celebrating birthdays and other special occasions. After looking over the menu, we decided on the lox crostini bites and the bruschetta. We each ordered a glass of sparkling wine. I added a chocolate rim to mine, which was fun to look at, although it didn't add much flavor. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed watching the flowing chocolate waterfall. Considering how busy the bar was, our food arrived quickly. The crostini were crisp, and both appetizers were fresh and flavorful. The only drawback was the volume of the DJ, but we knew what to expect as soon as we walked through the door. This is definitely a fun place for parties and groups looking for a lively night out. One last observation: I probably wouldn't choose this spot for a group of men. The décor and overall vibe are very much geared toward women, but the name says it all.

I've been excited to start making my rounds in the Reno/Tahoe/Truckee areas and let me tell you, I started off strong! I was able to book a reservation when I Googled the tasting room. I wasn't sure I needed one so I made just to be on the safe side. Our reservation was on Saturday before Memorial day weekend so I wasn't sure how busy it would be. Our reservation was for 4:30 and we would would been okay without one. I booked a window view which gives you a nice view facing 4th street and beyond. There are so many seating options and you can't tell from the outside but there's definitely plenty of room! It looked like they have some outdoor seating as well! All three of us ordered a tasting flight and eat all shared a charcuterie board and a lobster roll. My flight was the Pinot Noir and I was very impressed! Each one was better than the last! The charcuterie board was amazing and something I'd definitely order again. The filling of the lobster roll was good but I wasn't a fan of the bread. Our server was prompt, personable, and so sweet, we enjoyed her very much! I love the different seating options and that you can look around at all the wines they have within the building. Our first experience was wonderful and I can't wait to return to try more flights and menu items. I feel this is such a nice place to celebrate, relax or enjoy a date night. Things to note: Reservations recommended in the afternoons on weekends. Kitchen doesn't open until 4:00

I've never seen salt and vinegar offered before on fries/tots. Everyone else's dinner at my table looked so good. We had someone with the salmon, someone with salad and steak, someone with meatballs, someone with a Cuban. They all looked so good and made me want to try them all. I did feel my burger was a bit small but the ingredients were fresh and I really liked the flavors. I also wish it came with my arugula, I only got one tiny piece!
