My overall experience with this place was not the greatest. Only reason why i came because i was referred by another mechanic. I will start with the positive. 1. Love how they have a Drop-off/ Pick-up transportation service. Only 1 positive. The lack of customer service from manager Tery Beaver was disappointing. i dropped my vehicle off to get inspected due to having issues with the lights coming on. He informed me his technicians weren't able to identify the issues and to do a further inspection would be costly, which i declined due to the year of my car. Moving forward when i went to pick-up my vehicle he informed me " While they were wrapping up they triggered my Engine light to come on" (HIS WORDS NOT MINE) 1st he stated when i start driving the light should come off, Then turned around and said well maybe in a couple of days. When i proceeded to ask him questions he started to get upset and talking over me. Then i asked if he could write down the issue of the situation so i can have what happened in writing which he refused. Then proceeded to continue to talk over me and ask why i need it in writing etc etc. Please be careful when dealing with any mechanic especially the ones who only have GOOD REVIEWS and no negatives should've been a RED FLAG for me from the beg. I have a Lexus and a Toyota - both get serviced by the guys at Karco. They have been around for a long time. You won't find nicer people to do great work at a fair price. Simple operation - you bring them a car in need of repair, they will fix it and give you back a clean car in good working order. Amazingly simple formula -yet hard for many repair shops to do well. One other note about these guys - if you get a chance to see the service area of their shop check it out. it is neat and clean - almost sterile it is so clean in there. Wow after two shops both misdiagnosed my Dads 06 Tacoma with a check engine light. Both shops said it was plugs and a coil that didn't fix it. These guys over the phone already knew the issue. So glad we did the repairs here they replaced my engine in days. The truck so far is running very smooth I highly recommend bringing your Toyota here. Once upon a time there was a girl with a 1993 MR2 who took her car to a Toyota dealership for service. The body style of this MR2 is similar to faux Ferrari and is stocked with wider rear tires. During a routine service, the service department at the Toyota dealership rotated the tires putting the wider tires on the front and the standard size tires on the rear. When asked "what was the mechanic thinking?" The response was "how does it drive?.... as if to say, if it drives ok then it's ok.... Needless to say this MR2 found its way to Dick at Karco and his team has been servicing the car for 22 years. With 225K+ miles later, it still runs like a charm. The car recently went thru an A/C conversion and it's driver is so very happy the car is cool again. So... the 1993 MR2 and Karco lives happily ever after... We have been going to Karco for many years now, and in the last few years the service has been horrible. My grandmother has taken her car there several times due to a check engine light coming on, and Karco has stated they fixed it, only to have the light come on very soon after the service. When she took it into them again recently, after paying another huge sum, the light came on the same day!!! They told my 90 year old grandma that they would have to take it to tier 2 which would be another $700. We were outraged that someone who had been taking their car there for well over 25 years would be treated this way. Well, we are done. Just went there this morning for a second opinion. I was at American Tire and they told me I needed to change ALL my struts which would have cost me $1300!!! I decided to check these guys out because another customer at American Tire told me about this place....doesn't hurt to get a second opinion right? So, turns out, my struts were perfectly fine. The noise that I originally complained about was a loose plastic shield under the engine. It only cost me $25 for the clips!!! They saved me $1300! Jay is the person who helped me out! I am certainly going to these guys from now on. I have a Toyota Celica...and they specialize in Toyotas! Also, I went to their garage so that they can show me what was wrong. I'm typically a DIY car mechanic but a recent injury and a pending Smog Check on one of my cars meant I couldn't make the repairs it needed in order to pass smog myself so on the recommendation of a friend I brought my car here. They diagnosed it quickly, had the parts the same day and had it back to me the next day. The repairs they made seem to be working great and Jay even made recommendations to keep the part they replaced from failing in the future. Bonus that they offer a shuttle service and will both take you from the repair shop and pick you up when your car is done. Their prices seem a little high, however the work they did was top-notch.
