The food was bomb! I got a bunch of different things to try and it was all good except for one thing: the mac and cheese wasn't very good. But everything else was. The fried chicken wings were juicy and perfectly seasoned. The cabbage was flavored well and had a great consistency, not too hard or soft. The yams were pretty good. The greens were fresh and tasty. My husband tried the peach cobbler and said it was a "close second" to Smoke Shack's in Fort Washington. He's extremely picky. But can we just take a moment and talk about those jerk wings? Okay, those jerk wings had to have been seasoned with dust from Jesus's sandal! That WAS authentic and AMAZING jerk chicken! And y'all, they had that beautiful rose colored smoke ring under the skin, which all REAL smoke aficionados know is the mark of a true grillmaster. The prices were about average to me for Caribbean/soul food. I do recommend calling in your order as they cook many of the menu items fresh which can take a long time for this genre of cuisine. The food we received was good. The chicken and ribs were not dry or overcooked. We called in an order to pick up. We were there at that time. However had to wait an additional hour for our food. If we didn't pay ahead of time, we would have just left and gone elsewhere. The food is good, but the wait time was ridiculous. It was not a great first impression. I have been here at least a dozen times and the food never disappoints! Everything I've had was delicious. My favorite is the dry rub ribs, jerk chopped chicken and smothered chicken. My first time visiting was great. I had to call a few times to 1) confirm they were open and 2) to order my food, customer service was great. I ordered curry chicken and jerk chicken chopped, both great ( the jerk chicken tasted grilled like it should be) . I literally needed more chicken. Why not a 5? I think my chopped jerk could have been a larger portion however I was happy with food, it was very flavorful and authentic. I will be returning soon. read more

Thank you for your lengthy response, I do not recall being rude. We were greeted by a seated cashier who appeared to have an attitude and ready for your establishment to close. It was not extended to us to sit in the restaurant and wait 20 min for our food (maybe because of COVID policy). Next, I requested recommendations as it was our first time in the restaurant. " Everything is good was good was her response " . A list of more popular dishes would have been a helpful response. Yes my food was cold. You looked bothered this occurred and informed your staff to heat my food. Staff on their cellphones could of contributed to the lack of attentiveness to the temperature of the food being served. Seeing as though I was displeased with the lack of customer service and the quality of the food. I took it as both a lost financially and a waste of my time. Your staff lack the passion you carry for the establishment. So as I stated in the store "thank you" for re-heating my room temperature meal. I had heard about Ka'ribbean Fire via FB. The reviews were really great but a few were not. Sometimes you have to try things out for yourself. So I decided to try it. I placed an online order around 4:30 pm. I ordered the Jerk Chicken with Rice and peas and a beef patty; the Smoked Chicken with cabbage and mac and cheese and the fried chicken with mac and cheese. My order total was $54.08. I received an email that my order would be ready at 5:38pm. I arrived at the restaurant around 5:30pm and waited in line. I was number 4 in line. When my time came, I advised Tiana, the cashier, that I was picking up an online order and I gave her my name. She asked the kitchen if my order was ready. They said they did not see my order! Oh Oh! So I waited. Tiana told me she would check and she did. She returned and asked if I could wait 15 minutes. I said yes. In 15 minutes, Tiana had my order. We double checked it and it was accurate. She even gave me an order of sweet potatoes. I arrived home around 6:17pm anxious to try this food. I was hoping and praying that it would be good since I had to wait so long for it. Well lo and behold, the food was delicious!! I was so so happy! Everything we ordered was well seasoned and just down right GOOD!! My wait was worth it. I am glad I remained patient. Let's start with the excellent customer. First time my husband picked up our food got home with a minor issuse. Forget the issues because not only was to resolved the owner went ABOVE. Just visited for the first time on a Friday night and placed my order online, which gave an hour to pick up. Once I arrived I had to wait an additional hour for my food. The service was nice, however they were very busy and very unorganized with getting the orders out. Basically, they needed more help. I ordered the cajun salmon and shrimp, fried whiting,collard greeno, cabbage, and green Beans. Well, let me warn you,they don't sell green beans at all. The collards were so salty they weren't even edible. I had to mix the cabbage with the collards just to be able to eat a little. The Salmon didn't have any flavor and had 4 tiny shrimp on it. The fried whiting was head spinning salty too. I was very disappointed as I had read great reviews. I would like to try again to give them another chance, but I'm not sure. read more

It's not often I come to Yelp to do anything besides read reviews and lodge complaints. With that said *cracks knuckles* Karribean Fire has the BEST carribean food in the DMV (thats not cooked in someones home kitchen). And the thing about it is, these folks aren't stingy with the helpings of food. I even asked the owner the one time we spoke if they were really Jamaican because of all the oxtail they pile on. And we all know most Jamaican restaurants are real stingy on the oxtail. My favorite is the jerk turkey wings (which I am eating right now). And they always have Ting to wash it down. I've visited Jamaica 13 times and I make it a point to go to Sweet Spice in Negril for their oxtail. And they can't touch Karribean Fire. And they are SOOOOOO friendly. Another typical Jamaican restaurant stereotype. I had to slow down because I realized I wasnt cooking at home myself and they knew my name when I walked in the door lol. My family ordered curry chicken with rice & cabbage & oxtail. They said its better than Tropicana in Marlow Heights. I tried the cabbage it was really good just a little sweet & had a little kick, just how I like it. Omg the cornbread taste like cake it's moist & good. The food was so good the plans for mothers day tomorrow was to go to Outback. My mom was like naw we going back to this place tomorrow. Kudos to the owner. This is what Charles County needed something different to eat & well worth going back to over & over. The whole family sat around the table to taste & try to distinguish what was in the peach cobbler cheesecake because it was so DAMN GOOD. It had a different taste that keeps you going back to try to figure out what it is. Remind you we only had 1 slice. My neice was like do they deliver we need more of this tonight.
