We originally came to the distillery for food and drinks, but after hearing about Heirloom, we decided to make reservations for cocktails afterward -- and we're so glad we did. The atmosphere was elegant, intimate, and beautifully designed, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy expertly crafted cocktails after dinner. Even though we only came for drinks this time, the experience completely exceeded expectations. We'll definitely be back again and next time hope to try some of the food menu as well.

We each had a glass of beer -- the Pale Face Summer Wheat on draft. It is a classic German Hefeweizen and described as "malty with banana and clove flavors." I tested the banana on my first sip. It was a solid choice. The next day, we worked a 15 hour day without stopping to eat. By the time we finished, we were so tired that we agreed to return. I ordered the same steak and my coworker followed my recommendation. He agreed that this is the steak to order. (even if he ordered his more well done than mine). Everything overall was way too greasy, including the crueller and the dry noodles were swimming in oil. I did like the texture of the noodles, but unfortunately it was overshadowed by the oiliness of the broth it was sitting in. It's really sad to see this place fall short since it opened a couple years ago. I'm hoping that they can improve their quality of food as it's really gone downhill since opening.

She doesn't like atchara but I ate it up and can say that it's not as vinegar-y as traditional but probably for the best as it would have probably overpowered everything else. Only disappointment was the spam fries. It needed a complement of garlic fried rice and it would have been perfect lol.
