I've come here for a few times with my friend for happy hour. Their happy hour specials for food and drinks are amazing! BOGO beer, $1 small sake carafes, and an assortment of appetizers and entrees ranging from $3-$6. I've had both the sesame tofu and the pad thai in the past. The sesame tofu was well-cooked but a bit sweet for my tastes. The pad thai was just right and super peanutty. I definitely recommend the place for happy hour if you're in the area. read more

My most recent neighborhood discovery. Recent reviews by fellow Yelpsters about Phó peaked my curiosity. I ordered a bowl of the Beef Phó for lunch at $9.00. It was served in a silver bowl along with black plastic chop sticks. My Diet Coke was served a classy tall glass as if I was about to have a rot beer float. Service was very quick and friendly. The typical fixings of sprouts, jalapeños, lime wedges, basil and seagrass were fresh. When my silver steaming bowl arrived I immediately did a broth check and then doctored it up with Saracha and hoisin sauce. The broth was more on the sweet side to what I was used to, still tasty and full of flavor. The broth had large julienned white onions and the beef was more of chewy chunks rather than thinly sliced meat, a nice touch to what I was expecting. I did come in after the lunch rush around 2pm on a Friday, so the restaurant was still half full of lingering customers. The club music at 2:00p on Friday perked me up for the weekend. I wasn't super impressed with what I ordered here, but I'm sure they have better items. I ordered the red curry which most assuredly didn't come out like any red curry I've ever had in my life, and it tasted like anise. Which I greatly dislike. Maybe I was just expecting something completely different? The pork rolls were fantastic, but I pretty much had to chug my way through my curry after dousing it with the red sauce from the rolls and soy sauce. read more

I can't believe this place doesn't get more 5 star ratings as it is truly superb. A friend brought me here the first time: Spicy Edamame and elegant cocktails served with Orchids and sometimes light up ice cubes- soooo fun! it wasn't long at all I was back for more. We thought the sake was pretty smooth too , with a hint of pineapple. Also 2fer 1 beers at HH. We tried all of the $3 appetizers . The spicy edamame was amazing !! I would come back just for this dish ! Wok seared in the hull with sesame oil & dried chilies--- way better than steamed ! The chicken skewers were amazingly big and juicy . The chicken is marinated for flavor and also topped with a good peanut sauce , on a bed of baby greens , that we didn't waste , as the p-nut sauce made a nice dressing ! Been here twice. The first time, I tried their drunken noodles with beef. The second time and food was for happy hour. Both times the service and food were really good. For happy hour, every day from 3-6, they have $3 apps (chicken lettuce wraps, chicken satay, and spicy edamame were a few I remember), and a couple of $6 entrees (I had the chicken pud thai). $1 small gekkihai sake (hot or cold) and BOGO beers. I tried their Thai Chang beer which was good. They have a gluten free rice beer too (I think from China?). So they have one of the best HHs around! Street metered parking around that area is until 10 PM, where other parts closer to downtown seem to be only until 6PM. But if you are there after 7 (after HH), there is a parking lot where you can park for free across the street. read more

Don't believe what they say, Karma is not a "you-know-what". Karma is tasty and delicious asian fusion food! If you love edamame, get it here! And if you like things a little spicy, get the spicy, it's the most amazing explosion of peppers and saltiness. I try to get as much of the flavor off of them before discarding the shell. They are by far the best edamame I've ever had. Their pho is also full of flavor and I highly recommend the pad thai or the dan dan noodles or any of the stir fry choices from the back of the menu. I've never had anything I didn't like here. And I'm super picky. The decor is fun and definitely asian fusion style and south Boradway is a very cool hangout in Denver. There's tons of great shops and one of a kind restaurants, like Karma. Their prices are very reasonable, roughly $6 for appetizers and $8-9 for entrees. The Happy Hour prices are amazing, $3 appetizers, so you know what that means, $3 spicy edamame!!! And, BONUS for you night owls, they are open until 11pm for dinner on the weekends! read more

Visited this place last night and it was delicious. The sake (warm) was very good for a chilly night. Steamed dumplings & Vietnamese egg rolls were both a hit. My only concern would be to alert the server about any allergies you may have. I'm allergic to pineapple, so I avoid dishes that have the ingredient in it. I REALLY wanted the honey shrimp, but they have pineapple, so I opted for the General Tso's. Although it wasn't listed on the menu, it came with a pineapple ring as garnish. I've been eating at Karma Asian for years. The food has always been very good. The other night I got an order of pineapple curry that was not very good. Very little chicken, mostly pineapple, very watery and flavorless...like the spices hadn't yet been added. I called the owner to tell him about it and his response...instead of I'm sorry was thank you. I think he should've offered me a credit. Excellent Asian cuisine. We stuck to Thai, with my husband getting Panang Curry with beef, and I got Pad Thai with beef. Both were scrumptious and flavorful! The Pad Thai did not include egg, unlike the Pad Thai I have had previously, but that does not make it less delicious in any way. The curry was a little spicer than expected, a good kick but not overwhelming. My husband was disappointed that the potatoes were not water chestnuts, but still enjoyed their role in the dish. The presentation of both dishes was gorgeous (see pics). We also ordered the pineapple [cream]cheese wontons which had a very unique mint and basil dipping sauce. Yummy and crispy perfection. I have been ordering take out from Karma Asian, for several years!! The food is consistent and high quality. I've also visited the Broadway location a few times. As others have stated parking is difficult, but not impossible. I usually order the Honey Prawns...delicious. Generous portion with a coconut pineapple sauce. I love them. Spicy Edamame, Asian Rolls ( with peanut dipping sauce) are really good as well. Sesame tofu is really yummy. I've tried a few other menu items, but usually stick to my old favorites. I recommend this place. People working there are nice. Delivery usually takes about 45 minutes. Everything is fresh. Prices are really reasonable. You can't go wrong, with Karma. read more

I have never been disappointed in any way by this place. Yelp thinks this needs to be longer or it doesn't qualify as a legitimate experience. I'm not really sure why that is. I almost don't want to leave this review in fear of tons of new people flocking to my favorite neighborhood spot. I come here almost weekly for their happy hour. $1 sake and their delicious spicy edamame are always ordered. For appetizers, the crab cheese wontons and potstickers are amazing. For entrees, my favorite is the Kobe beef. The portion size is awesome and flavor is incredible. On top of all that, the service is top notch. We came to Karma after watching a movie at the Mayan Theater right down the street. We were with a group of friends and had a late lunch. Their house hot sake is great! We also enjoyed the crab cheese wontons which is served with a mint sauce. I didn't really care for the vegetarian potstickers but everything else was great. They offer a great deal called the Karma Wok during lunch hours. You get to choose the type of meat and sauce for your wok meal, served with Jasmine rice. The meal is only about $8 and is served Bento Box Style on a tray. I had beef with the hoisin exploding sauce. It was excellent! Sweet and savory. read more

The pho he is very unique!! I like how it's a little sweet. The pad Thai is good. I love the happy hour. There is just a great energy when you are here. Hmmm the jam bong is also sooo good. I have tried a lot of things here and I am never disappointed. I wouldn't say the pho is super traditional like you would get on federal. I like the traditional but I also like this place it's very fresh tasting. When I used to live up the street I was wasting here at least once a week if not twice. Stopped by before a night at the Hi-Dive, and ended up pleasantly surprised. The inside was pretty welcoming, open, and relaxed, and the waiter who seated us was awesome. After hearing that the hot sake was $7/chalice, we ordered 3. How could we not? We also ordered some other gems, including veggie spring rolls, some sesame chicken, and some sort of crab potsticker. All of it was pretty much as you'd expect, which was perfect for the time. I think the total bill was around $40, which was pretty astounding to us. I will certainly remember this place for the next time I'm on South Broadway. ~ Our visit was made especially entertaining by a group of three girls that simply couldn't handle the 'rave party' mojito (or whatever it's called). This place has a very friendly staff. They greet you upon entering and seat you immidiately. The appetizers come out before your meal and they keep your water and beverage of choice full. Oh, man, I am so disappointed. I was so excited after reading these reviews... Ordered delivery, got pad thai, smoked salmon wontons, hot and sour soup, pot stickers and a thai iced tea. The pad Thai was DRY. I don't know if I got a wonky batch, but 75% of my noodles were bone dry and tasteless. They put huge chunks of red bell pepper in with the noodles, so even the noodles I got that had any flavor just tasted like bell pepper. The smoked salmon cream cheese wontons were weird. The flavor of the wonton innards was strange but interesting, but the dipping sauce was /horrible/. Some sort of oily cilantro stuff, it didn't go at all with the flavor of the wontons. I tried it solo and still think it tasted rancid. Just a horrible pairing of too many wildly different flavors. My pot stickers looked handmade and weren't terrible, outside of the fact that the outside of the dough was so frost-bitten or overcooked that they were hard and crunchy. The hot and sour soup tasted like burning. Yes, I'm serious. I tossed half of it down the sink after trying to force it down. My Thai iced tea was great, so there's that. I really, really wanted to love this place, but this food was really quite bad - all of it. read more

#1 one on my Grossest food in Denver list to date: I'm pretty sure the good reviews are paid for or are fake accounts. Probably some bot service. .Me and my honey ordered take out from here two nights ago-spent a good 50 bucks cause we are both foodies .We were mortified! His eggs had mold in them, in his fried rice,my pho tasted overly salty and fake.I had some wok dish and the chicken tasted unclean and was under-cooked. We quickly tossed the majority of our food out, when we realized. Oh as far as appetizers go-The coconut shrimp and crab cheese wantons were just okay. They tea used for the Thai iced tea was probably burned... oh & there was hair on the ginger pieces & the lettuce was old that they used for garnishing. DO NOT EAT HERE! 2 dishes to get: Spicy Edamame and the Tofu & Vegetable Pho I rarely eat out because I'm generally disappointed with the amounts of oil, salt, and sugar added to dishes to make them "taste good" but end up making me feel sick. Not the case with my dinner here. I got the tofu and veggie pho that had very crisp veggies and just enough flavor to be awesome (especially with a little of their red pepper sauce added in), and I got the spicy edamame which had good spices with just a slight amount of charred flavor. Came to Karma on a suggestion of a friend who said it was a slam dunk. We were told to get the spicy edamame and the tofu drunken noodles. Considering I do as I am told, we got those two in addition to the cream cheese wontons (guilty pleasure). The spicy edamame was amazing. Just the right amount of kick, and the smokey flavor coming from the wok was perfect. The cream cheese wontons were exactly what I expected, and hit the spot. It came with what seemed like a mint sauce, which I have never had before, but it was refreshing. The drunken noodles were big enough for 2, and was the perfect mix of vegetables, noodles, and deliciously fried tofu. On our way out, the table next to us ordered smoked salmon cream cheese wontons, which will definitely be in my order next time. read more
