I went to Karoomi's twice for a basic oil change on my 2012 Captiva. The service was subpar while I was there, but I just got my car back from my mechanic after it started running rough on startup and the check engine light came on. It turns out this guy has been putting the wrong oil in my vehicle (requires dexos and he used a basic synthetic). This not only damages the vehicle, but voids any warranty it's under. Unfortunately, my mechanic says it would be hard to prove he's at fault, so I have to shell out $1500 to have it fixed or it won't pass smog. I absolutely would not trust this place ever again. Go here! Totally recommend! I've been coming here for years and they are VERY HONEST. They only recommend what is absolutely necessary and make sure they give me a good deal. They will usually give a discount on an oil change if you just had to have them replace an expensive part. The employees are all very kind and helpful! My first time in was just for an oil change. It had been long enough where my car wasn't driving like before. The manager here was great, he gave me the option of two different oils for my car per the recommendation for the make and model. Before they did anything else be recommended a flush and cut me a deal - almost half off of the flush if I did it today with the oil change. No pressure but he was very informative about why I'd need it, etc. I went ahead and got the flush and my car was done very quickly. Also got a free car wash, which it needed badly. I also got great recommendations for future service and estimates for if I was to return. The service can't be beat. The manager is very helpful and sweet. These guys are awesome!! I take my grandma to the car wash across the way from them and i needed an oil change so i thought I'd give them a try. Owning a European car of coarse a plastic fitting broke while moving the coolant res. It's a Saturday and everything's closed and all other part places didn't have it.. i live in LA and would have been stranded if Andy hadn't used his brains and just gone to Home Depot and picked up a metal fitting... he made it work and it'll probably outlast the car! So happy with these guys and their knowledge and professionalism as well as the know how and will to make something out of nothing to get me back on the road.. 10 out of five stars for this place thanks guys! read more

I had recently gone to two other mecanics that almost damaged the engine on my Lexus RX350 . This place is amazing! I feel very fortunate to have found them. The location is closed to home and their hours are very convenient. These guys really care about that quality experience you should always receive when you take your car in for maintenance or major repairs. Knowledgeable staff that's upfront and honest at every turn. (which I have found is rare in the mechanic world) I took my Hyundai Santa Fe in to get the radiator fixed (not needing her anytime soon) but when my Mercedes' transmission blew not days later I asked Adam to put a rush on the Hyundai, and him and his team had her up and running the very next day! I went to Karoomis about 6 months ago and talked with Adam. He seemed like a nice fellow and did my front bearings for me. So I decided to give him a second chance and get a break inspection from him plus a oil change. He wrote up a list of things that needed to be done on my car regarding the breaks which was approximately $800.. I also had him do an oil change.. Before I took my car to him, there was nothing that leaked from my car. After I got the car back and after they finished the oil change, he insisted on getting extra things done regarding my back brakes but I declIned. I get home and I leave again and notice that in my carport where I park the car, there iss a massive oil leak! I called him right away and he said to bring it back in the next day. I brought it back in the next morning, and they checked and it and hee said thAt he couldn't do anything to help me. I am soo livid and upset! BUt most of all let down. I trusted him and he proved to me that they are very dishonest and dIsloyal. He never once said I can fix it for you or suggested any other options. read more
