If I could give NO STARS I would... I want to express my displeasure in how I was treated during my experience with KarzPlus. I am 44 years old and recovering from pacemaker surgery, so I have NO TIME TO PLAY GAMES with anyone on their or my time. I bought a car from KP in El Cajon (when the store was still open) back in March 2015. I submitted a list of things to be done and KP took care of maybe a 1/4 of them. I have paid out my pocket for repairs to this car in the first couple months of having it. The most recent I paid for a cracked rim and a bad tire (200.00), I had receipts for it and still was denied a refund for the money spent, which I had to borrow from a friend. I must have driven from El Cajon to National City, 3 times in a week trying to get this resolved, I NEVER received a call back when I was told I would get one. I had to show up at the dealership just to get my request answered and still waited for an hour to talk to the manager. I was told that since I've had the car for 7 months I could have bent the rim (which is BS, I wouldn't waste my time on something I did myself), the CAR WAS SOLD TO ME LIKE THIS. Mind you my dash light for any issues with my tires has always been on since the car was sold to me, so that should have been a clue that something was wrong with the tire(s) on the car, but I was told that since there was after market tires and rims on the car the light would always stay on, which wasn't the case since Discount Tire was able to reset the sensors in the tires, which I had to pay for one of the sensors. Discount told me after 7-8 years the sensors go bad and the car is a 2008 so that makes sense. Turns out the other 3 (sensors) need to be replaced now as well. So until then the dash light will remain on. I am very disappointed in KP and all I want is my money back. I was able to get my car refinanced through my credit union and have nothing more to do with KP and OnTime Financial (one of KarzPlus Finance companies, who are crooks themselves). I don't know the kind of people KP deal with, but I am not one of those people. I like to think of myself as a honest/fair person and the way KP treated me through this hole experience, dealing with them and their repair shop (Value Auto Repair) has definitely made me re-think about buying another car from a place like this. Value Auto Repair is a great place, Alex (Manager) is a good man and he will take care of you, I just can't say the same for KP... (Eddie/Mark). Hmmm where to start. I'll start from the beginning I guess. I was checking out cars with my baby in the stroller and one of the dudes named "Eddie" was backing it and almost killed her. Have you ever heard of rear view mirror? After that everything was ok, Jose was taking care of us and everything was fine but I asked for the carpet and aux adapter to be fixed. Carpet was ripped and aux didn't work. He said yes. I've been pestering them for 2 whole months and they finally had me drop off the car today. I called around 4pm and Eddie (same dude that almost killed my daughter) answered and said he didn't know anything about my car and that Jose left and would have to call tomorrow. I asked him to check if the car was there but he refused and refused to make any effort to give me any information. He practically yelled at me and hung up. I'm a decent human being and refuse to be treated like an animal. This dude has huge ego and acted like he was above anything and anyone. Sorry sir, you lack manners and class. So, called right away and someone else answered, he said the aux and carpet are done. Picked up the car and carpet is done but not aux. they are closing even though it says it closes at 9 when I'm there at 7:20. So, I guess I'll have to call tomorrow and go back to these people, till I get my stuff fixed. I'm already getting ripped off because I have 0 credit, the least they can do is this. I never thought I would buy a car from a used car dealer, and I almost didn't even go to check out their cars based on my other experiences with used dealers. For example, one of them told me that I really should have made an appointment to test drive cars. What? Another one gave me keys to turn a car on and it was dead with bad battery, so you can see why I was apprehensive about going to yet another t dealer, but boy am I glad I did to karz plus I briefly met Eddie and he seemed very nice, but Germanl was our salesman and he was amazing! He is literally the most accommodating and genuine car sales guy I've ever encountered. Even after the deal was completed, I called him about issues that were missed, and he was like, "I'll get those taken care of right away for you." If you want annoying, fake car salesmen then visit any regular dealership. If, however, you want nice and honest car salesmen, you should definitely go here. Wait Sam, did you use the words "honest" and "car salesmen". I recently bought a used vehicle from Karz Plus, it was not what I wanted to do to begin with, based on my past experiences with used cars. Plus, I didn't want a car payment. I went through all of my options, my work and travel schedule recently changed so I needed a car ASAP. I was referred by a friend "Byri" who is amazing at getting good deals. I told her it was ok to have Eddie give me a call and just talk about certain vehicles. If I was going to purchase a car, it had to be something I really wanted, and not what they could get me in! Eddie was very wise and courteous the minute we talked. Eddie took care of everything for me, He even came to pick me up at work from National City to La Jolla, CA. we took a pretty smooth test drive. I wanted a 2.5 convertible beetle, stick shift, and guess what? Yeah, Eddie made it happen. He is not only wise, he is very responsible and takes his job serious. His customer service and dedication to customers is very soothing! I was amazed as to the deal he was able to get for me. I like how I read the other reviews on here and people are complaining about the " high APR?", etc... Dont they know that the dealers do not set the APR?..it's the banks who do! If your credit is bad and that is what it takes than that is YOUR fault, NOT the dealers. That is what happened to me too. I paid 23.9% APR but I know that is MY fault. I got a car from Karzplus after being turned down by everyone else and my car is GREAT! I also see people here saying that the car they bought is 17K and only worth 3K..lol, First of all, even I know that a bank will not lend that way. I love how people make things out to be much worse than they are. Stop letting your friend with good credit tell you how it SHOULD be, they have a different situation than you...GOOD CREDIT! The bottom line is that with less than perfect credit you cant get a perfect car but I know first hand it can still get you a good one. I am VERY happy for a place like Karzplus to help those uf us with credit problems. I would rather not need to keep catching the bus. This post is strictly for the customer service Eddie Hine has given me. Although my recent experience with Marc was very disappointing, I do want to point out the kindness Eddie has shown me. After being stranded with my 4 year old daughter, 2 hours away from home, Eddie has accommodated us while I awaited the arrival of my ride to take us home. He discussed with me all that we needed to talk about and even though Marc may have thought he ruined my day, Eddie made me smile. My daughter has even grown a liking to Eddie since he had a very cute conversation with her. Eddie has put forth so much effort, only to have his effort overlooked by someone who jumped the gun too soon. My experience with Karz Plus was less than stellar. This dealership fits the stereotype of being less than reputable. The only redeeming aspect of our interaction was Steven, who was excellent in contrast to the rest of the establishment. Unfortunately, after just three months of owning a car from Karz Plus, it developed significant issues that required $1500 in repairs. The manager's attempt to downplay these problems as normal for the mileage was disheartening. Overall, I can only give Karz Plus two stars, with one of those stars being solely due to Steven's efforts to provide a better experience. I called Karz plus Saturday afternoon and spoke to Eddie (the cubexican ). After I explained my situation he met me at the bus stop and gave me a ride to the lot. He had already gotten an idea of what would suit my needs and even though his shift was over he stayed as long as it took to get a bank to approve me and get me in something that actually fits my needs and my wallet. He made it painless and quick and when I left I had a great car with an affordable payment and a smile on my face. Rarely have I been impressed with a used car lot. This place is special. The cars were nice and clean. The staff was pleasant, friendly and very patient with my daughter's apprehensions. She had just been in a bad accident and was frightened about getting behind the wheel again. After chatting and laughing awhile she became enamored with a nice Buick Lucerne. Cut to us driving off the lot happy and relieved. We will recommend karzplus to all of our friends. The entire staff couldn't have been better. Since coming here, it was a pleasant atmosphere. The customer service is perfect and the car selection is wonderful and modestly priced. So that means it's easy on the wallet lol. My car broke down in the freeway and I felt so awkward with out a car and no money to buy a new car (or used car), a friend of mine took me to Karz-Plus in National City with this guy Mark (one of the managers) and he was so cool, open my credit the same day and help me out to get a great car . I can't see how all these people say they have had problems there. I have just bought my 4th car there. No problems with anything at all. I need affordable payments and they have been great for me. Never had to get any work done to the cars either. Remember, you can always refinance through another bank to lower your interest charges. They have all been wonderful every time I have been there. Horrible my husband was told he was approved before he came in. he was talked into a 2003 Nissan Altima that was $8,000 firstly market value is only $3,000 and then they said it would be $300 a month for a 2003, we accepted because we were desperate only to hear we are not approved because we are $200 under what we need to make and we don't know our managers last name. Including intentionally trying to cover up crucial facts they lied about. Tampering with auto check reports to conceal frame damage on their vehicles.
