What a fantastic surprise! We had never been to a Polish restaurant before and weren't quite sure what to expect. The waitress was very nice and patient with our questions. I had the pierogies and was thrilled that they would let me order a mixture of potato filled and beef filled. They were both delicious and well seasoned, but my favorite was the beef! When I first saw the plate I was a bit disappointed with the portion size, but they were so filling my husband had to finish for me (quite a hardship!). My husband had the Miska Gulaszu which is a Polish beef stew with scrambled eggs, cheese, and hashbrowns. He loved it! We will go back when in the area! Our only complaint was the coffee. They only had coffeemate as a creamer and when I asked for cream they only had milk. Also, they did not offer refills. For $3.50 a cup I do expect a bit better. read more

When l arrived at Kashas, it was basically empty. There were only 2 people there who were eating, which made me happy that I could get my food soon. Instead it took them 50-60 minutes just for a breakfast burrito with hash browns. Food was really good, most likely after driving here from Vermont and being really hungry. The atmosphere was nice, and it was welcoming. But there was one thing that annoyed me. Kashas is a Polish Restaurant, but no one there knows Polish. They even have their backstory of how the restaurant owners migrated to the U.S. from Poland. Maybe they did or maybe they didnt. And the service was okay. read more

They forgot to bring a coffee and never offered a refill, I don't think they even checked to make sure our food was okay or if we needed anything. The food was fine and I'd come back for the food, but the service would make me think twice. One more good server working the floor would make a big difference. Thy worst stuff cabbage we've ever eaten we throw out . They sell at the restaurant but only to go frozen . I ask if they would heat up to have there and the women became very defensive which caught me a little bit off guard ! She'd always been pleasant. We wanted to try out a place we've never been able to try out before a day of shopping. This place hit off our day perfectly! From our waiter to the food and the decor and extremely warm welcome! This is a non-descript restaurant next to a gas station on Rte 1. THe restaurant was clean and organized. I ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict, but there were many different offerings of Polish meats and foods. I did not expect to find the best Benedict I have ever had , but it was! This was my first polish restaurant experience, and it did not disappoint! I went for one of the monthly dinners, and there was SO much food, that the last 2 courses I had to get to go. The bacon, OMG. The owner was on site, cooking, serving, and explaining dishes. The service was outstanding, she was fun and proactive, and patient. I think in this dinner I tried 15 different polish dishes? Very good value for the price. There was no liquor license at this time, didn't love that, but there is plenty of parking,positive. Staff was super friendly. Ambiance was clean but not different from previous owners decor which is bland and not cozy etc. The eggs benedict was adequate. Eggs poached nicely and hollandaise was tasty. I was surprised when I got the hashbrowns I chose. It was this little tiny wedge of hash brown that really was not enough for even a child! Definitely frozen and refried. I'd sprinkle a little fresh parsley on the benedict and maybe an orange or lemon slice to improve the appearance. I'd also give at least ONE more hashbrown! I can't for the life of me understand how Kashas Kitchen could have so many positive reviews. This morning when we arrived the only thing that happened quickly was that we were promptly seated. The place was not busy, there were several empty tables. It took a few minutes for a waitress to take our coffee order, then it took 10 minutes to get our coffee and menus. Again, the place was not busy and she was not running around taking care of tables. In fact, I dont know what she was doing because most of the time she was nowhere to be seen. Finally, after about 15 minutes, another woman, who I believe was one of the owners, came and took our order while she was carrying a newborn infant. Our order was pretty simple, an omlet and an egg sandwich. We waited 45 minutes for our order. Meanwhile, we observed other people who had come in after us place their orders and receive them before we did. Also, we observed several people come in and wait to be seated, only to leave after being ignored for several minutes. There are lots of places to get breakfast other than this place, go to one of them. FAIL! read more

Great find on a rainy morning! Bright and clean, the staff was friendly and prompt. Good coffee! We had the yogurt power bowl and the sausage and gravy meal. The homemade granola was very good! Hidden in an nondescript gas station plaza, Kashas is definitely a great spot for breakfast. It's a "seat yourself" kind of restaurant. The singular waitress who was serving the entire place was quick on her feet - you would have thought there was 3 more of her. The food was also good. I ordered the traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon, white toast, and a hash brown. I also got one piece of French toast. All of the food was very good. I also was happy to see they offered iced coffee. My boyfriend got sausage gravy and biscuits, which he enjoyed. Because the tables are spread out, it didn't feel crowded at all even with every booth and table being utilized.
