They were also extremely accommodating when the scope of our project changed--we decided to refinish the hardwood floors on our stairs and in our office before installation, and they updated the pricing quickly and fairly without any hassle. The installation itself was smooth and impressively well-coordinated. The crew handled removal and install flawlessly, worked efficiently, and clearly knew what they were doing. The finished product looks fantastic. We highly recommend American Carpet Distributors for anyone looking for quality service from a family-run business you can trust. Tip: cash is preferred

With a recommendation from our realtor, Pasquale Recchia, from Christie's @Properties in Chicago, we found Kyle to be professional, helpful in assisting us to make the right choices, and very personable. The installers were professional, quick, and very neat/clean. And the price for our beautiful, soft, new carpeting was about half the price that I was expecting to pay!! I highly recommend American Carpet Distributors for your carpet needs---you will receive wonderful carpeting at a great price with excellent service!

Three were eliminated because of the onerous terms of their form contracts, the unprofessional rep who visited us, or the delay/failure to provide a written bid. 312Flooring was completely different. Jesse, who came to bid the job, was knowledgeable, helpful, and obviously had authority to respond to questions and concerns. Peter, the owner, reviewed Jesse's video of the job, and approved the written bid. We chose 312Flooring. Their bid was not the lowest, but they were not the highest either. Peter and Jesse guided the project through our Condo Assn., stayed in touch with us reporting their progress, and were ready to start on the date promised. On the appointed day, the installation crew, Juan and his two sons, arrived. The next three days were almost pleasurable -- they were skilled, polite, respectful of our home, and enormously helpful in resolving the difficulties that arise during any remodeling project. Our floor was finished on time and on budget and we are very pleased with the finished product. While any home improvement project can be stressful, we heartily recommend 312Flooring should you decide to replace or install hardwood flooring.

Because I can't match…read morethe living room floors (Mohawk discontinued what I had in there), and the rooms are right next to each other, I decided to redo my living room floors, too, so everything would match. I went with LVP for both. Tom (the son) came out and measured, and he gave me a variety of quotes for different scenarios (living room + bedroom, living room + bedroom + hallway + kitchen +bathroom when I was briefly considering doing floors throughout my entire condo). I got quotes from multiple local flooring companies and installers, and ultimately decided to go with Central Rug based on the pricing, a recommendation from a neighbor who recently used them, and the convenience of not having to acquire the floors myself. (One other installer was less expensive, but I would've had to do all the ordering and take delivery of pallets, which was a no-go for me). Tom and everyone in the store were super nice. I took home several samples several times as I tried to figure out what I wanted, and they were very accommodating. Once I found what I wanted, which took a few weeks because I'm indecisive, it was easy to get things ordered and set up. There was a slight scheduling issue with the contractors they used for the install -- they thought it was supposed to all be one day job instead of two half days. (I needed the two days to move things around because my place is small, so I basically had to move everything into the living room when they did the bedroom and vice versa, so it couldn't have been a one-day job). Originally it was supposed to be a Thursday/Friday install, but when they came on Thursday they said they weren't available on Friday so they came Saturday instead. That actually worked out better for me because it gave me more time to get things cleaned and moved around. But, I had arranged my work schedule on Friday to be able to be able to accommodate the flooring install. If my work was less flexible and I had used PTO and then not been able to have the install done that day, I would've been annoyed lol. It all worked out though. The installer duo was also very nice and efficient -- they took maybe 2.5 hours per room from start to finish. My building also has a "no construction before 9am" policy on Saturdays, so they were extra quiet between their arrival around 8:15am and 9am. I didn't realize that they don't caulk the baseboard/quarter-round until I happened to ask about it when they did the living room. They kindly did so for me, but because they hadn't in the bedroom, I had to go out and buy caulk and DIY it -- they said they usually don't do it because they let the painters take care of it, but because I'm not painting my rooms that wasn't part of my plan. I was able to caulk it easily enough and fill in the holes from the nail gun in the quarter-round with spackle -- not a big deal, but just something to be aware of so you can plan accordingly! I would absolutely use Central Rug and Floor again, but I would just confirm and double check the installation schedule the day or two beforehand.

I highly recommend. More specifically, the test of a true professional comes after the job is done. I had an issue with a few tiles coming up in my basement, It was possibly a manufacturer's defect but that didn't matter to Alex. He insisted on making the job right and came back and everything is perfect. Honest, hard-working, and a perfectionist... What else could you ask for in a tradesman?! I'm a customer for life! Alex Mendez came right over and answered all of our questions. First we just wanted carpeting, but then his fair pricing allowed us to have him also install luxurious vinyl plank flooring in our kitchen and foyer. From beginning to end, the process was painless. The installation was PERFECT! Our friends and family look at us like we're amazing re modelers. LOL! It wasn't us... it was Armnali Carpet & Vinyl. Thank you Alex for making us look so good. The problem with remodeling our condo for our daughter was... now we want our primary home to look that good. So, we called Alex once again and discussed our plan to have a movie theater themed living room which required a darker colored carpeting. Alex gave us excellent choices from which to select. It is done and once again, our guests think we're great remodelers. One of my family members said that I'm like a master carpenter. Similar to Spike Lee, I say, "It's gotta be the carpet!" Guess what!? Armnali Carpet & Vinyl is scheduled to install carpeting at another property at the beginning of November... and it's going to be great. He doesn't know it yet, but we're going to remodel our basement. So that means that we're calling Armnali Carpet and Vinyl again. It's the BEST remodeling decision that we've made. Thank You Alex!!! See you real soon!

The day of my carpet installation I was told that there was a defect and they needed to get a new carpet in there. No problem. The second day I decided to wait and have them unroll it in front of me. Thankfully I did that because it was was completely the wrong color! See photos. The yellow carpet is what came, vs the taupe carpet that I ordered. They left with that carpet yet left the nails and pads on the floor. I was told it was a dye lot issue.. At that point I knew what my second carpet choice was, but could not get anyone on the phone and had to then drive to the store to speak to my associate as I needed the carpet installed asap (now 3 days out with carpet pad and nails in the floor). The third carpet install date went OK except they didn't place padding under my builtin. So a fourth install date was required. Finally, after all this, I asked my sales associate for my refund since the new carpet was cheaper. I was told that the carpet wouldn't be refunded due to the company "eating the cost" of the first carpet that was the wrong color! In the end, they did give me the refund and $40 as a "good faith" gesture lol. I'm not even very happy with the new carpet as it has a white line (not a seam) running down the middle.
